There was something so sinister in that recreation... In that ruse the murderer might have used to enter the house. There was a knot in my stomach reading through it and when Maan suggested it could have been that boy who got the door, felt bile rise up my throat.

I'll wait for a few more details about this and the other cases , maybe a few more characters before guessing who the murderer might be.. I'm clueless till now.

I also was wondering,(not relevant to this update) if Geet isn't still searching for her father's killer.. theorizing, profiling.. there's something so definitely unsettling and agonizing about a loosing a dear one to a violent end.. would require an iron will to get over the 'permanence' of that helplessness, frustration.

The violence, or past , whatever it was, finally got to Maan. want to know how Geet has coped with her losses.

waiting eagerly for the next update.

It was brilliant how Mr.Guha faltered to give it all away.

I have no idea why but the word 'punish' about the first crime scene, put the movie SAW into my mind - as though the killer was punishing the family member who was exploiting the family's support and forbearance for his deferring attitude by taking them out of his lives forever. Like it was the killers gift in teaching him/her to start living in the now.

Of course this is another speculation as Aarya mentioned. We still need to have so many answers.

I believe anyone would - in a high strung situation and carrying a heavy grief on his shoulders, the question didn't allow him to recover from his state of mind thus making him drop his guard.

Fascinating theory about "Punishment". I am not going to explore more about this while commenting :-) Thanks a ton H.

Here is something for you to think -

The boy lives in that house and its late in evening or early night. Is that a wrong place and wrong time? Unless...

...the boy had other plans which were cancelled 😆

Interesting you bring up Geet since everyone was talking about Maan I thought people forgot poor Geet altogether :-) I am not sure if adding new characters will help or confuse even more. But yes, there will be few new characters - or the ones from first crime scene will make an appearance.

Geet is looking for her father's killer I think. Won't that be logical choice? She is following her father's footsteps so it's natural for her to re-visit the case again and again. It will be dealt with, I will assure you that...

First of all, Thank you everyone for spending time on this thread - reading, commenting, speculating, debating has been fun.

I have decided to stay off from the internet for the weekend thus chapter 5 is going to be last update for this week. I am enjoying a lot, writing this FF as the entire process is very satisfying for me. So I will try to get some more reading done on this subject (am currently referring to "Profiling Violent Crimes" book) and probably write Vertigo.

Keep those ideas coming people! It's most enjoyable to read it and see how you see the story.
