Dev's idea of romance
After many failures in love, Dev finally sees a ray of hope in STAR One's primetime show Geet- Hui Sabse Parayi.
Dev has fallen hard for Nandini's beauty and personality, but he is very nervous about opening up his heart to her. He is worried about her reaction and rejection. We get Dev Khurana aka Samir Sharma talking on love, relationships, romance and the delicate nuances.
What are the qualities that you like in Nandini?
Her sensible approach in life. Right from our first meeting, she came across as a sorted person. She knows what she wants and how to get it. She is a very methodical and practical person.
What does it feel like when you realize that you are falling in love?
There are butterflies in your stomach, and then, there is a tingling feeling which comes from your inner soul. You get conscious in front of your love, and get nervous about her acceptance of you and the budding relationship. There are numerous doubts swirling in my mind now, and they won't rest till I get an answer from Nandini. But to get an answer, I have to ask her first. I have to find the courage, the right setting and the right time to propose to her. I am working on that.
What would you consider a real fun thing for a couple to do together?
Being with each other is the best and most fun thing to do. As for what to do, it would depend on the couple. If you like activity, any water sports or trekking should be cool for bonding and having fun. If you both like to relax, then a spa or walk on the beach would be great. I would like to take Nandini to Goa and spend time with her. If she doesn't like Goa, then we can go to Mauritius or any other place.
What is your idea of a perfect first date?
My perfect date would be one where I don't get nervous. We both should be comfortable in each other's company. Moreover, my dimaag should not be present to disturbs me [laughs]. A simple candlelight dinner in her favorite restaurant should be cool.
What is your idea of a romantic getaway?
To take away Nandini to a remote island like Mauritius or Bangkok, where no one will be able to disturb us.
Is friendship an important aspect for couples in a relationship? Why?
Yes, definitely. You must always treat your partner as a friend. A good friendship is very important between a couple to maintain a healthy relationship. If you are good friends, then there won't be any communication gap or miscommunication.
What does it feel like to be pampered by someone you love?
It feels great to get pampered by a person who holds a special place in your life. If you get pampered, it is only fair to do it vice-versa.
What romantic tips you would give to young audience members in love?
Every woman loves to get pampered. So, just pamper her with your love. Praise both her inner and outer beauty with true feelings. Spend more time with her.
