the CVs seem to be adamant in making a mock show of love and forgiveness....i wud like to add some snaps to refresh their memory considering that constant change in CT is affecting our show.....
darji in name of family honour forces geet to punish herself for the "crime" of trusting dev....for wanting to believe in her marriage to dev...for wanting to wait for dev to come back...
darji watches as her granddaughter puts a burning charcoal on her hand....
then later on wen he learns that geet is pregnant...he orders brij to make her drink poison....wen that failed...he sent brij to kill geet....
geet alone fights with her family to save her child....
maan sees geet sad during the wedding...she was missing her family...the family who wanted her dead...she was missing the blessings of her so called family.....
and for maan nothing is more important than seeing a smile on geet's face....
he himself goes to HP to request darji to come and give his blessings to geet....
on seeing darji geet gets scared....she remembers everything that darji did with her and she was sure that darji is here to take her away from her maan...she requests maan to stop darji from taking her away....
darji says he has come to bless her....he apologises for everything he did with her...sheds a few tears and geet melts instantly forgetting the very fact that if darji wud hv his way....then this day wud hv never come in her life when she is getting married to her dream man....
she takes his blessings and hugs him and forgiving him who once tried to kill her baby....her baby which means everything to her...even more than maan....
dev comes into the life of an 18 yr old innocent geet....he gets into fake marriage with her....sleeps with her and then the next day abondons her in the airport and walked away with his real wife...leaving her to fight her battle alone...
geet thinks that maan is trying to save dev....she was angry because she thought maan bailed dev without telling her...she humiliated him in front of the BODs and told him she wont marry him....here i wud like to highlight one sentence that she told maan "agar aap yehi chahte the (dev's bail) ek baar mujhe kahkar to dekhte"
she then went on to accuse maan in front of the press that he was marrying her so that dev goes unpunished....he was using her to save his bro....
maan's reputation, his principles, his character got blemished because of geet.....
later on wen geet learns the truth she goes and apologises to maan....he on the other hand burns with guilt for being related to geet's perpetrator...
but as geet tells him that she and her baby need him....he forgives instantly...he forgets the pain that she gave him by not trusting him....by questioning his principles...for tarnishing his image in front of the press...for maan the only thing that matters is geet's happiness....
geet now forgives dev...he says a few words of apology, he expresses remorse for wat he did with her....he even found the guts to hold her hand which geet does not find necessary to jerk away....
she forgives dev for everything he did to her....geet's life, her body, her soul was tarnished by dev but he received forgiveness from geet....maan sees this and is shocked....he cudnt believe that his wife can forgive a criminal...
she forgives him because she doesnt want anyone to feel guilty for her....she forgives him because after losing the baby she doesnt hv strength to lose further....
she forgives him so that she can move on in her life with maan as she told maan in amritsar bazaar....here my question is how come geet did not feel the necessity of "moving on" wen she formally told "i love u" to maan during sonography...or wen she got married to maan....
here too i wud like to highlight one sentence that she told dev "tumne jo kuch bhi kiya hai wo maafi ki layak to hai nahi....magar tumhe eu tadapta hua dekhkar...pashtatap me jalte hue dekhkar maine tumhe maaf kiya"
dev and darji...one destroyed geet's life by robbing her izzat...the other made schemes to kill her....both hv been forgiven by geet....
maan sees geet forgiving dev...he sees dev putting color on geet...he sees geet putting tika on dev....everything he sees as a mere spectator....geet took the decision of forgiving dev whom he hates from the bottom of his heart without even discussing with him....
maan was like a raging lion...wen dev asked him y he cannot forgive him wen geet has already done so....maan's suppressed anger took the form of words...words which shook geet to the core...he used the words "beigairat" and "white blood"....she asked geet what jaadu dev has done on her that she is playing holi with the man who once spoiled her life....
his exact words to geet were "dev ne aisa kiya kar diya tumhare liye jo aaj tum sab kuchh bhool kar uske saath holi khel rahi ho"
maan did not question her character...even in his anger he can never question geet's loyalty....he asked her how cud she forget the past and let a criminal like dev play holi with her....
after this geet left maan and KM....
from then on maan realised the grave mistake he has done....he cud feel the pain that geet felt and his life became void without her....he goes to amritsar to apologise to geet....
he genuinely repents for his words and he told her so....he admits his fault widout any inhibition....but geet refuses to forgive him...
maan goes to geet's maasi's house in the guise of a driver....he goes thru humiliation in the hands of her family, stays in servants' quarter, eats meals like a servant, carries loads, washes cars....he leaves behind his company, his ailing dadi, his mansion and all luxuries of life only to win geet's heart....
but geet's heart doesnt melt....it melted for dev and darji but not for maan....for him she has only 4 words "i cannot forgive u"....
now let me focus on the highlghted sentences of geet....
"agar aap yehi chahte the (dev's bail) ek baar mujhe kahkar to dekhte"
geet told this to maan wen she thot he had bailed dev....she was angry and upset because maan did not confide in her before bailing dev....
but of course we all know wat was the actual fact...maan never bailed dev....it was all a MU on geet's part...
but today geet actually went on to forgive dev....and maan who is her husband was not even told....
"tumne jo kuch bhi kiya hai wo maafi ki layak to hai nahi....magar tumhe eu tadapta hua dekhkar...pashtatap me jalte hue dekhkar maine tumhe maaf kiya"
geet told this to dev after forgiving him...now my question is dev ka kaun sa tadapta hua roop geet ne dekha....only in one scene dev apologised....he told her that he is burning with guilt and she instantly forgave him...she actually used the words that seeing dev burning in remorse she is forgiving him....
dev gave blood to maan....he sympathised with geet after the MC....r this enuf to heal the pain and suffering that geet had to face because of dev....
then wat is maan's crime....is his crime even bigger than dev...maan is going thru hell for her everyday...he changes his identity for her....but geet remains adamant....
how come maan ko "tadapta hua dekhkar...pashtatap me jalte hue dekhkar" bhi geet cannot forgive him....
i wont raise any doubt on geet's love for maan...i know she loves him immensely....
but i wonder wat else maan has to go thru to prove to geet that he is in pain....that he is genuinely sorry for wat he said....
