GC hurt & disappointed by fans:Mod's note PG38 - Page 31

Hello GC,

I read your post. I agree with you that many enthusiastic fans cross the line and become disgustingly prying in their comments. But there are those also who take up a defense for their favorite stars. The blog me and my friends comment on also get posts about who you looks better with whom. And there are a few of us who express our thoughts on keeping the reel and real life of the stars apart.

I can understand that you must really be angry by some of the things you might have read, coz they even enraged me and my friends, and we took up this question on our discussion boards. I do agree that Dexter is one ugly dog but he's yours and you have every right to shower all your love on him, and no one has the right to tell you otherwise.

I hope you are able to look past the horrible comments, and don't get overly disheartened by your fans.

What i admire about you today is that you are standing up for the people in your life who mean a lot to you. Keep it up.

We would like to see you onscreen a lot more in other programs as well.

Why??? Geet became famous cause of team work. Geet should be grateful to all the actors and CVs for making it what it is. Without GC also Geet would not have been the same, so GC does not need to feel grateful for it. If not this serial, he can always get another role.

Also, you guys are forgetting that he did get a lot of fans through Ramayan. Perhaps the fans he got from Ramayan are not as many as the ones from Geet, but they sure are loyal fans who support him and Debina thick and thin.

It was because of us Ramayan fans that Gurmeet opened his blog. He used to have an IF account (confirmed by admin Vijay) where he conversed with us occasionally in Ramayan Forum, and we all wanted an easier way to communicate with him and Debina, so after months of begging they decided to open a Blog for us, so they did not open it just by chance. So if the blog closes down, we Ramayan fans will be veryy disappointed, yes, so I hope for our sake people stop with the comments.

Anyhow, their BLOG is under moderation (as per the wishes of us Ramayan fans) so if people post nasty stuff like they did before, they will not be posted. Only the comments that are mature will be posted, so even if you have criticisms for him, if it is written in a matured manner, it will be posted. However, if you tell him to leave DB for DD or something like that, I guaranteee you it will not be posted.

If you are referring to me when you say "all those who say he should be grateful to Geet" then let me clarify .

I never said GC only should be grateful to Geet or vice versa ! It works both ways. Yes it is team work . Geet benefitted GC as it benefitted DD as it benefitted Nissar and so on ! Likewise , Geet too benefitted from GC and other stars . None can afford to take any of this for granted ! Because if you say he could have got any other role , then Geet too could have got any other actor to essay MSK ! It is silly to speculate what the GC or Geet's fate would have been because these 'ifs' and 'buts' do not matter. GC plays MSK . Period !

All im saying is that in the past too , actors have quit shows and moved on and so have the fans , believe me no one "suffers" really ! Especially not the fans because they always find greener pastures ! The onus unfortuantely is on the actor to turn a blind eye to all these nasty comments and continue doing their job which is acting !

And IMO , interacting on these blogs , twitter etc kind of takes away the star aura around the star and also makes them too vulnerable to criticism. For some reason , I like them a little unapproachable ! But thats just my opinion ! 😊
