The following is ONLY my opinion and I am certain , some members would want to throw tomatoes and eggs on me .
Oh GC , Cry me a river , build a bridge and GET OVER IT !
You are not the first actor to be linked with their onscreen co star and you will not be the last . And linked ? where ? Only on a virtual forum ? And that too , they are more like wishful thinking on the fans part ! Somewhere deep down , they too know perfectly well that GC DD will never happen ! He is extremely lucky to have escaped any sort of link up in the media !
But no where have I seen this kind of an outburst ! Married TV actors in the past have been linked with their co stars , I never saw anyone over reacting like this ! He HAS to understand that if he talks about himself and his fiancee in public he has to be open to ALL sorts of criticism and in fact even severe bashing sometimes .
Nowhere am I saying that he should not feel hurt. Of course he should . He is only human ! But then so are his fans . Fans are fans and will wish for everything ! Till date I see members in Bollywood forum wondering if Ash and Hrithik would have made the prettiest babies on the face of Earth had they hooked up or how great it wouldv been of SRK - Kajol had ended up together and so on.......! You all think the stars in question are unaware of all this ? Do they let it affect their work ?
I had to take these names because I remember reading GC's interview where he says he wants Geet to be his last project in Tellyworld and wants to persue films afterword . Well , Good luck GC ! You'l ONLY be facing a lot more wrath and a lot more criticism !
Another example - THE Amitabh Bachchan gets abused on his blog and so does his family ! And when he begins to defend them , he gets abused even more ! 😆 This is how harsh and cruel your profession is GC.
Note that I AM NOT defending or justifying any sort of comments on his blog. I am sure they must have been very offensive . I do not really visit his blog and sit and read all the comments there. To that , all I can say is that like someone here said that in a blog , fans and non fans , both post ! Some are just trolls which he obviously shudnt take too seriously !
Before anyone jumps on me saying "What if YOUR family was abused yadda yadda yadda" - Well , I am NOT an actor / actress , I did not sign up to be a public figure and I certainly DO not have thousands of people praying for me when I fall ill ! (See guys , it works both ways ! ) .
To be in this profession , you cant help but become extremely thick skinned ! Else , you have no business being in this business !
My advice to GC would be if you cannot take any sort of criticism towards yourself or your family , please either close your blog or at least stop updating your vacation / festival pics etc . People will not post only praises , I hope you understand this !
I am actually now feeling for DB because this will ONLY make fans spew more venom on her. Maybe not on his blog but other various forums. Now how on Earth would he stop that ?
Lastly - I am a little ticked off with his 'some serial of mine' words . It does appall me thinking how casually he is taking his success which I credit to Geet also . (Strange , he forgot to mention this "little" detail. His show , directors , co stars , etc ALL played an important role in the status hes enjoying today). Like a couple of members mentioned , if he indeed quits Geet (oh and I know how some people would love that), the loss is only his ! Fans will sulk and cry for a while , then move on to the next hunk , the next better actor and the next better jodi ! (Like I said , fans are also human...... ).
Oh and I dont think that he compared DD to a dog ! So stop bashing him for that 😆 But yeah , I guess the whole thing about mentioning Dexter and the prettier dog was unneccessary because now obviously it has been taken out of context !
