yeah...bolly went all the way but i still don't want kisses on tv shows, cuz they are mostly family shows and movies are almost always rated to whether kids can watch or not....but geet is going good, they aren't NOT doing anything intimate and are not taking it all the way

the TV watching audience isn't ready for it, b/c a film you buy a ticket and then go and watch it, but for TV...it's on and the older generation isn't comfy as the younger generation are with on-screen kisses...that being said..StarOne garners most of their ratings from the youth so they could do a kiss....but i don't see that happening!

On a more serious note... most indian films now have quite intimate scenes.. if you look at some of the recent films they have long and detailed kisses/ smooches... love making scenes.. female actors hardly wearing anything... *sometimes without any reason 😆😆* and these movies are watched by the 'family' audiences... in cinema halls... i dont understand then why cant they show some naturally intimate scenes in the TV shows... Another thing to note... the so-called family channel shows... have so many intimate scenes... than why not Geet.. which is a youth based show...

I have alwys loved the chemistry between Maan & Geet.. it feels like there is this constant current flowing between them... as if they are tied to a string.. and when one side is pulled the other feels it instantly... all the 'intimate' and non-intimate scenes with MaanEet together have this underlying current flowing... this wave thtz just under the surface.. wanting to fight it's way to the top.. some more intimacy... and my-oh-my ... there will be a tsunami... which will sweep all of us away with it..😉😆😆

Typically, given today's day and age, how far an intimate scene can go depends on teh lead's willingness.

In this case, I don't think the lead(s) are willing to take it that far. I believe GC even mentioned this in one of his interviews.

i dont think One shld just assume that GC is not willing to do kissing scene just bcz One wants to believe it ....i dont remember he ever mentioned this kinda thing in any interview

It was a TB artcile I believe, or possibly a video - I can't remember now.

But he clearly said, a while ago, that this is about as bold he's going to get, nothing more.

That was what I was referring to.

My perception of his discomfort stems from two thoughts - 1) If I were engaged/married, I'd be just as uncomfortable to get intimate with someone else, no matter how fake. As our culture is, (and Gurmeet isn't in Bollywood yet, so lets not compare him to bollywood folks who're married and get as intimate as the scene calls for), I totally understand the discomfort there. 2) His body language doing contact scenes. He can do intimate scenes well, but when they have to show contact, his body language changes.

Just my perception. But my comment earlier was based purely on his own comment.

first of all i do not find him discomfortable😳 and above mentioned is ur thinking not gurmeet's😛 ....doesnt matter he is in bollywood or tellywood....its entertainment industry at the end of the day ....and one shld think abt all this before becoming actor and if one is not comfortable bcz he/she is engaged or married then he/she is in wrong profession 😛

and abt body contact u think his body language changes while doing body contact scenes ??? kya yaar kuch bhi hun....not agree 😳

An intimate scene which is a culmination of love is something natural and can be shown very aesthetically like all the other scenes shown in Geet and this will be make the scene more romantic not vulgar.

A kiss or an intimate scene shown aesthetically can look more purer than some of the vulgar scenes and songs they show in movies and television nowadays. And what about the vulgar language the double meaning dialogues or the immoral behavior of the characters in some serials.

For me the Nhok-Jhok & the interraction between Maan & Geet with the strong undercurrent of chemistry or sexual tension between them itself is so intimate so why not show the kiss or the intimacy.

The audience of today has changed, there is only a small percentage of the audience who find intimate scenes distasteful. We cannot please everyone and I watch this show together with my family and so do most of my friends and none of us have any inhibitions about such scenes.

Please CV's the Maaneetians are very eager to see Maaneet take their relationship a notch or two ahead so please don't dissapoint us 😆😉& I agree Maan & Geet is by far the most sensual jodi I've seen so far in either television or movies

That's all fine, to each his/her own. I feel his body language shows stiffness during contact, you can disagree :)

But again, he's said, himself, that he will not be getting anymore intimate than what he's done already. HENCE my comment. Not based on MY understanding, but based on HIS reading :)

Don't get offended by the uppercases - I tend to do that when I'm stressing a particular word or phrase.
