To whom it may concern,
After years of flicking through the tv channels, and avoiding the indian dramas for their disjointed, cringe worthy, cliche storys, i finally found a show i wholeheartly loved, Geet Hui Sabse Parayee. I adore the fact that its on Star One in the UK, and that it is a fantastic story, the characters are real, the actors have remained consistant with the exception of daddi being replaced, the scenes are well written, the concept of the show was pretty ground breaking, and the outfits especially Geets make me want to go buy something similar (Id buy exactly the same, except its kind of impossible!).
However it has recently come to my attention that many scenes written with the vision of the writing team, and the director are being cut to satisfy Star One's TRP goals. I say its the fans that make or break a show, and that in the case of GEET, Hui Sabse Parayee the scenes should NOT be edited, for the following reasons:
1. We want both logic and romance.
2. We do not want the channel editing scenes out, especially to meet so called womans groups expectations, I am a woman and i would not be offended to see the "Roop Mastana" scene. This is 2010 after all!
3. We want to see Maan and Geet having matured conversations.
4. We want the story and characters and actors to stay consistent.
5. We want important scenes to stay in the episodes. For example, character reflections. Such as Maans reflection after being told Geet is pregnant.
6. Geet team knows how to do their jobs; now let them do it their way
Please please please let the show be, and the TRPs will soar! I imagine if the "theres not enough time in the 20 minutes" argument comes up, please id rather watch character progression than Dev's swimming.
