I had posted this Topic...thought of sharing it here in the fabulous Post too....The moon scene which i think is one of the best scenes of Maaneet and Which beautifully used a Metaphor to point out Geet-Maan and how their destines are intertwined was outstandingly done

A)From Maans POV he is the Raat and Geet the Chand
and how much ever she tries the Dark Sky and its vastness is so huge that the Moon can never escape from the sky' in short God has created them in such a way that they complete each other and is lost without one another''...in short he was telling her not to Run coz she wont be able to hide herself from the vast Sky.....

B)From Geet's POV she can interpret the metaphor Maan used suiting her life where she is the Raat/the night which is dark(Relating to her past and her life which has plunged into Darkness) and Maan is the Moon/Chand whose radiance lights up her life'.How much ever dark the sky is it takes just one Moon to brighten it up'..just the way Maan's Presence in Geet's life lighten it up completely casting the darkness away''

Thanks Rickks...love your take too!!

There woudl be broken glasses/ thorns on the path of life- But he would always ensure that he weathers the storm and keep her protected!! - combined NT and the mirror scene 😃
Another beautiful thought that u brought to the table - about reflecting and taking a new course.. Life throws challenges and we would need to hold our fear and courage in our hands and step off the cliff and here for Geet - Maan would always be the safety net and vice versa.. She is the chaand for his cloudy past!!

Vrush, Rev and Nags, do count me in. Am game for sure :) But I do miss, sometimes what with my work, study and all..but I will defly. try and catch up whenever I can.Do remember, If am not commenting, am still reading your posts :) and it's thought-provoking and awesome. Thank you. Keep it going girls. Oh btw, the chiseled bare-chested look of Maan was a visual treat, more like Adonis himself.

The ADONIS and the chiseled chest...yummy!!! I was just telling Rev today, that since HP and Maan has told his life is incomplete without her....and their new friendship....have you all noticed that he no longer wears banyaan or ghanji (or in American...a wife beater) that he always used to wear? He is totally bare under the shirt.....we saw it in the STRIP scene and then again today too. Not that I am complaining...love to see the bare chest....but the question is WHY??? any ideas???

What say gals.............Is there SYMBOLISM here too??šŸ˜‰

@ Nags..

ah..symbolism..is that he is leaving..his inhibitions behind...he now..feels a layer of himself that he had kept under wraps..is gone...due to Geet...

what he kept only for his private moment..now has Geet in them..the strip tease and now this..i so want Geet to run her fingers on his chest..
i did that in one my scenes na..

CVs please oblige?....

Hey Pari!! Yup - today the office scenes between Maaneet was good! I understand from where u coming - Yes at times Geet seems to be younger than her 18 years.. My take on this or my understanding was her upbringing !I cant imagine being a bubbly person being resticted to a life of rigidness where every step was to be accounted. Just not wearing a duppatta could evoke corporal punishment,So with Maan she can let go herself be the vivacious 18 year old who has loads to experience in life..
Yes, she is a mature character - the way she even stood up to all.. But she behaves this way with Maan.. just maan.. I also infer from this is that she forces Maan to give up on his rigid self
So they light up each other life with these sweet little nok jhoks.. Now , coming to her not telling Maan. I can understand her dilema - Here he is talking about entwining their lives and slides the ring so unexpectedly.. what would a woman do ?? How would u feel if u propose someone and then its flung so artlessly back to u.. Here she needs finesse to say what her past is... And the shock of being his true mangetar is yet to sink in!! And , the precap says that she wants to confirm if he thinks of her as a true fiance or a fake one!! So if she does not say about the past in the next two epis, I would be disappointed..
About her being 18 to Maan's 26-27.. I dont see why a business tycoon cant fall in love with a simple girl.. Remember- he a person who hated weakness in women complimented Geet on her bravery!!

Wow! what an episode and what an equally beautiful analysis! I have been through all the comments in this post and it feels like looking at a mountain from different panoramic view points. There isn't much that I can add to what is already covered in this thread.

For me, symbolism in today's episode (espacially thae last chase to engagement scene) seems to be as if Maan is telling Geet that there comes a time in your life when you realize that if you stand still, you will remain at this point forever. Life's circumstances are not always what you might wish them to be. Beyond any understanding, you may at times be led in different directions that you never imagined, dreamed or designed. Yet if you had never put any effort into choosing a path, then perhaps you should let me show you the directoin. Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you now. Shake off the "why's" and "what if's" and rid yourself of the confusion. Whatever was - is in the past. Whatever is - is what is important. The past is a brief reflection. The future is yet to be realized. Today is here. Walk your path one step at a time, keep your head up and cast your dreams to the stars. Soon, a path that you have never imagined will become the most comfortable direction you could have ever hoped to follow. Keep your beleif in yourself and walk into your new journey along my side. You will find it rejuvenating and fulfilling.

OMG..... this sure calls for serious discussion...but more than symbolism i would blame Mumbai's humidity to be the reason...šŸ˜†
