I never said I haven't heard of 'eh'. I have heard of it a lot on t.v., which has led some people to believe that it is somehow a universal saying of Canadians. What I was merely saying was that though it is used by an actor/actress on t.v. playing a Canadian person...I have never come across its usage in everyday language. Now, 99% of ppl around u may use that word in everyday language, but that does not necessarily mean that the rest of ppl in Canada also end their sentences in 'eh'.
Similarly, I was basing my opinion on what happens around me...in my town/my province. Out here in the West, we don't say 'eh'. Maybe the usage of 'eh' in the 99% of the people around u is something special for ur province. Could be...just like the French spoken by people living in Quebec is quite different than the French learned by the rest of us living in other provinces. There could be regional differences. 😊
