My 2 cents .except that I am a mahiii fanatic ...which by now everyone knows why ....well the below lines say it all abt todays epi i guess

nice post! Haha, i just loved how yesterday, Adi followed geet in "Babaji!!!" and today geet laughed like adi...

i'm finally back.

Ok, so...... I think that Maan is acting sort of cowardly, almost as if he doesn't want to admit his feelings first, so he doesn't have to worry about her rejecting him, though he knows that won't happen.

Lol, poor girls, Maan completely ignored them. But moving on, i just loved how Geet was like, "sabse handsome, sabse aamir, sabse khadoos(her expression was😆). And it was cute how Geet dropped whatever was in her hand and Adi caught it. Speaking of Adi, he hightailed out of there once Maan came forward. He prob. wanted to live to see tomorrow. And he didn't wanna be kabbab mein haddi😆😉. But hai, Maan's line about Geet was shooo sweet, and Geet looked shell-shocked. Why can't she realize though, that he doesn't want to marry because none of the girls are her! When Maan was leaning to Geet's sides and telling her that she should get a girrl for him becaus she knows when he gets mad..blah blah, it actually looked cute because they both had their arms in similar positions.

Uggh, this Naintara. I really hope that if Dev finds Geet/finds out about her pregnancy, he doesn't become latoo. Its nice that he feels bad, but thats all he should feel. Actually, he should either help his bro with Geet without knowing its her, or stay out of the picture until Geet herself tells Maan the truth. But NT is going to be very problematic.😡

Lol, daadi is really desperate to get Geet as her grandson's dulhaan. And she had very convenient timing. She steps out, Maan steps in. complaining, which i thought was very childish but funny. I think Maan was already imagining his shaadi😆😆.

Uh-oh...Dev. I really hope geet and Dev don't meet until things have setttled down between Maneet, and they confess both their feelings and about their past(the second of which is prob. going to happen with Samira's entry*hopefully*).

About the promo- I actually think that Geet and Parineeta will kinda be friends. Well, Geet will be a little jealous because Pari will be Maan's (fake)"Dulhaan", but they both seem similar. Although at appearance they're both really different and Pari is less conservative and more outgoing, they both have a bubbly, defiant, and sweet streak.

My Take on Last Night's episode:

Technical Issues:

Script: I give a 2/10 for the first part and for the repetitive dialogues. Overall I give a 3/10.

Background Score: I give a 2/10 for the decibel level and for flogging a dead horse twice too often. Go for more subtle tunes, and find a signature tune for Geet since Mahi is Maan's signature tune

Direction: I give a 6/10 for holding it together despite the bad scripting

Editing: I give a 5/10. It was fine!

Acting: The only redeemable feature of last night's episode who held it together is Gurmeet. He underplayed in that first part and that was really a fine subtle performance.

Other Story/Character Delineation/Script areas:

Maan when he questions Geet on finding a girl and tells her that she is the one who is perfect for him, meant it and was questioning her audacity in searching a girl for him despite knowing or having an inkling of his feelings for her. The way I look at it, he was angry with her for her lack of trust.

Secondly, when he is trying to find out about her feelings, it is more to do with his doubts if it is love she feels for him or if it is mere infatuation and I think here Maan is pretty much aware that she is young and impressionable. [and that is rational since he does not know her past history except that her family tried to negate her existence, which is grounds for care and affection, not grounds for love]

Last night's episode for me was redeemed ONLY BECAUSE OF MAAN and nothing else not even the jewelery scene despite its relevance.

Here you have to understand that Maan had already accepted in his heart that she is his and that is why he remembers that scene of the Dupatta on the Chopras day. He is sure of the depth of his feelings but is not at all sure of the depth of her feelings though he feels that he is reading them right from her eyes but he also is not sure if that is an illusion.

So any attempt to get to the truth is well worth the effort he feels because he cares a hell lot for her even though he may not say it. He has already seen her and accepted her as his wife in the real sense or the soul mate!

Note: I know I am being very stingy today in my ratings and being very cutting in my analysis, but i am not ready to cut some slack this time around as I think it is not necessary to overlook what could have been well executed with more care. I don't think that the excuse of sick actors and sick directors should impact us in our analysis - ref

Postscript: I will also add this bit from my post in Page 6

The Rose scene also proves that the guy is scared of rejection and being ridiculed when he thinks she will blast him for giving her the rose and imagines his whole office staff laughing at him! Ahem! Lingering shadows from the past? May be!

But seriously I think it is typical of such a successful man that he would want to confirm his suspicions before he proceeds full scale making a fool of himself in love. Who knows if this has something to do with history not repeating itself or if it is a case of such a supremely arrogant man not being able to take rejection and fearing it because at some complex level he feels he is not worthy of being loved and all his ego is to hide his insecurity.

The veil on the insecurity is the ego and the only thing that can puncture that ego is the truth. So he is searching for truth and is afraid if his mind will fail him in finding out the truth. He wants to trust in his instincts on the one hand while on the other he fears that he may be wrong.

It is this human conflict of the mind over matter that is interesting in Maan's character. I would do the same if I were in his footsteps.

He is trying to be as rationale and as logical in drawing his conclusions and finding proofs to sustain or reject them.

Addendum

I have one more grouse and that is against Drashti! I like her comic timing, she is fantastic! I like her emotional display!

BUT I am not liking one aspect of her acting. I am not liking the fact that she is not showing the subtle play of emotions and is not able to display the subtle shades of emotions in her eyes and in her face.

Might be she is overtired, but she needs to get her act together and fast as she has immense competition in Gurmeet.

Guru is the epitome of subtle displays and he is revealing himself to be a performer who is excelling and raising the bar every day with every single emotion. He makes it worthwhile to watch.

Virgo girl I was going to write this and jyoti wrote it for me. U see Maan is not atypical guy, he has a huge ego and for him to confess he needs some solid affirmation about Geet's feelings for him, so he is merely testing her.

Thanks Jyo for your post and opening the Den!!

The first scene was indeed the highlight!! Nonsensical for sure but hilarious nonetheless.

I didn't get the sense that Maan was doing all this to test her. He had stated even to himself that he did not want to marry now. But I suppose that pushing her buttons can be the only reason for this. I also didn't understand why Geet was upset at all this especially knowing it wasn't a real wife he was looking for. Maybe she wanted him to directly say he wanted her and no one else?? 😕 I definitely did not understand why he thinks its fine to torture Geet when he can't express himself either. This whole seen really confused me.

Dev is not a saint and never will be. All I can say is he isn't as bad as he seemed before but still he slept with Geet out of lust knowing full well that would ruin her life.

The jewelry scene was nice and I can see the whole wedding/Parineeta thing in it but otherwise I wasn't a fan. She did look good with them on so of course he would stare but it didn't do anything for me.

I kept wondering if I was falling out of love with the show because nothing really pulled me in today but then I remembered yesterday was fantastic so.. all in all not bad. I would agree with 6 - 7 out of 10.

Maybe I will post this on the first page so my post isn't too faltoo there!! 😆
