Maan wants to call geet who is sitting at the reception table, decides against it-for once he is the one who is more lost and distracted than she is-Geet on her part tells herself that she should stop behaving silly and act as normally as possible-she thinks its just a matter of few days now-there is an envelope in her hand that has been sent byu dadi-she wonders if she should open it-she is almost about to, when she thinks, why do I care, let me just show it to him-otherwise maan sir kahenge, geet zaroor tumhine kuch kia hoga ⌠she looks at him staring at her talking to herself and is suddenly embarrassed-she pretends to get back to work-Maan calls her up and asks her to come to his table-she goes confidently-he tells her she looks distracted and he cant have her behave this way-geet once again goes into her trance and snaps out as maan calls out her name and tells her he thinks she should move her table close to his as its becoming a problem for him to call her every time he needs something-Geet says, sir, you are behaving as though I am your biwi and you cant live without me-once again a blunder-she turns away! Maan is like geet tum pagal ho gayi ho kya? Tum mere shaadi ke peeche kyun padi ho? Geet is like its not just me, sir, there are other people who want you married as well-who asks Maan? Geet is like dadi .. and she has even asked me to help her- and you agreed he asks her as though stabbed by the thought that she may not feel that way about him-she feels the pain herself-again she says, haan, I did, after all I am your secy and I know you well enough-let me show you those pictures-but as geet reaches the table and gets hold of the envelope, and starts walking towards the table, she notices maan's gazr fixed at her and she is embarrassed-she looks away-she comes to him and gives it to him- he opens it still looking at her.
Meanwhile, outside office, everyone is talking about Maan sir and Geet-Sasha and tasha are really jealous-Sasha says geet is smarter than she thought she actually was-for Maan sir to stand up for her and to cancel the deal, there has to be something that has happened-otherwise Maan sir is not the sorts who would behave this way-as they are talking Dev comes there and wants to know who they are bitching about-Sasha blurts out, Maan sir's secretary! She says from the time she has come she has been only a pain in the neck, and everytime she makes a blunder, I wonder why Maan sir sides her-dev is like, well I have noticed this too-but hadn't she left? Well that's what we thought says Sasha, but she is back now, and from the looks of it, she is here to stay!dev tries to flirt with Sasha and tells her, no matter how many secys maan has, no one can replace her, Sasha.. Sasha blushes-I wonder what sir see's in that stupid miss hoshiarpur, geet, she has no class, no sense of style, neither does she do her work well⌠at this point while we think, Dev would have heard them, we see he has gotten a call from nainatara who wants to know where he is-he tells her I am outside the outhouse I had just come to see how the work was going-NT hears women talking at the backdrop and she summons Dev to return immediately-she says, now is the time, you must gain foot hold at the office as no one else would be around to see what he is actually doing. Dev has no option but to leave.
In the meanwhile back in the office, Maan holds out the picture of the girl, but actually looks at geet and says all the things he does in the promo! Geet is really mad at maan for saying all that he did and she comes away and says to herself-ab inke liye aasman se pari kahan se laau-aur agar main use laungi bhi toh woh 2 din-nahi-2 ghante-nahi nahi⌠2 second main bhaag jayegi⌠Maan sir ko jhelna koi aasan kaam thodi na ha⌠Dusht Daanav!! Main ek kaam karti hoon she thinks, abhi ke liye main rest le leti hoonâŚ! Maan turns up there, and asks her what she is still doing here, wasn't she supposed to be on a mission, he reiterates all the points that he doesn't want in a girl deliberately⌠to which she retorts back asking, whats wrong with a girl like thatâŚhe says, a girl with long hair would mean she would waste too much time combing it, some in salwars would not look nice in any other clothes, and a chote shehar waali wud not have the brains! He stresses he wants a girl, who doesn't have all the three qualities as though stressing and leaves.
That night Geet while changing into her clothes, looks at herself in the mirror-and remembers all that maan had told her, she tries not to think about it, but the very next minute, she examines the length of her hair, takes a scissors and chops off the sleeves of her night suit, looks at herself in the mirror, she removes her salwar neeche se, making it look like a dress-she feels odd and akward-she wonders how women could wear clothes like that-then she looks at her hair and folds it up to half its length-and then she remembers sasha and imitates her voice and calls her sir M.K! unknown to her, Maan who had come to ask her something observes all of this amused⌠he is smiling to himself, when Geet see's him and is shocked-awkwardness creeps into her-she hits her feet to the bed and falls off and hurts her head as well-maan jumps the window rushes to help her-again a moment of awkardness as he looks for her dupatta and stops the blood from oozing-she grips his hand real tight as the pain intensifies and he assures her ke, jab tak main tumhare saath hoon, main tumhe kuch bhi hone nahi doonga-an eye lock follows-and both of them realize they are really close, as their lips are perhaps a few centimeters away from touchingâŚ
On the otherhand, dadi ma lets dev into her plan and tells him about the secretary and says, she thinks she is the best girl for Maan-dev is pretty sure that his bro would never agree-Dadi says, I have already laid the trap, I just want you to make sure its all going the way I had planned-Dev says I am going to cooperate-and dadi lets him into the next part of the plan-once he is done, dev thinks to himself, who is this secretary! And why is it that I never get to see her-I am sure she is in the outhouse and bro is also no where around-if not bro, I think I will have to take this secy into confidence and teach her ways to get close to bro! he starts walking towards the outhouse and as he reaches the out house he starts looking and finally reaches the window, that's lying open, and from there he can see Maan real close to someone and it is the back of the girls head he can see.
