The minute their TRPs went up; the second they became No.1 show on Star One; the hour they realized that their show has hit the top notch, THE SHOW started to develop it's boredom factor.

Oft repeated scenes of falling/catching, eye locks, dupatta scenes, Geet saying some not-so-nice dialogues against Maan when he is within hearing range.

Damn it man, they are killing the intensely beautiful love story and making it so contrived with their formula (successful formula).

They ought to realize that this show got here because of it's uniqueness and not because of the falling scenes, dupatta scenes or the eye locks alone.

We saw the characters flow from weakness to strength (GEET) and strength to vulnerability (MAAN) and it is this journey that keeps us hooked.

They have to think up new and novel angles to the story and some unusual scenes. Please stop the FORMULA that we see in every other serial. You are losing the freshness and the beauty of what makes MAANEET so sweet and charming.

So true...I recently moved from DMG to Geet because it has a proper storyline along with an intense love story. We will not be tired of the Maneet chemistry ,but the CVs have to come up with new ideas to sustain the viewership.

I really have to agree with this part...the eye locks are getting a little too much and pretty boring...same with the the falling/catching scene...CVs become a little creative n come up with new scenes

hey brigette you are on a roll...

i really really feel that even this show will meet the same fate as so many others...call me cynical if you will but the first jhatka comes at 3 month mark...that we have, they have started using the formula..now.the 6 month mark will come up with so out the box twist that they are highly improbable, not palatable ones..then..by one..year...end..this forum will have the haunted look/feel about it...

with strewn skeleton of the days gone by...of Maaneet moments that were and could have been...of love..and freshness that died at the altar of TRP...it is so cliched...

i dont know.how these serials run for years...after the first year...it is same crap different day...
almost all serial run on the same formula...
one dies in one serial you will see the same..happening across the board....and this from just watching..the promos on various channels..
i would have been in some institution if i had actually watched any of these serials past their initial few months..

my pov...of course...people may disagree...

Guys I am enjoying the storyline . . . Because one the angst comes there will be no love blossoming MAANEET scenes OH NO! It's going to get angsty and teary and UGHHHH and the GIRL WILL CRY! So therefore, I want developments before that dreadful chapter opens. LOL

i kind of disagree.. the eye-locks are not that bad and besides the cvs are doing their best to entertain us.. we should not complain all the time i am sure they have some thing in storer for us.. we should appriciate all the hard workk and goo with the flow.. maybe they will comeup with something new.. and also its an indian drama so its kind of predictable that these eye-locks are bound to be repeated.. :)

true asma...i agree one should not bring baggage from other serial to Geet and i hope we are proved wrong..really wish that...

i have not watched, DMG, MJHT or most serial running...i catch a couple of episodes a week of couple of others and once in a while...of some old ones...like Choti Bahu...where i loved Dev...
not much of hindi serial watcher and you may say that a look at promo does not give you the right picture again i may stand corrected and will apologise to everyone...if the other serials are not the same.. there are examples galore...the eyelock, hand touch, dupatta/saree hold, the rain sequence, a dance sequence, a dream sequence where the main protagonist profess love and forever but somehow..somethings always come in the way.

even i felt when this serial started, that Maan would be her pillar but it will Geet and Geet alone fighting the big bad world. now it seems the serial has been sidetracked and of course the reason is maan and geet and their chemistry..the cvs probably did not anticipate such a wild response from us...the audience..we love it...we want their love story...but we are all forgetting..

Geet has lot more to achieve...her fight for her rights, her child's rights, a right as a woman, a mother, a wife, a daughter...she has to raise her voice for all that has happened not just with Dev but from childhood she has been treated as a second class citizen just because she is a woman...
with such a strong storyline..how we get sidetracked by petty office games, jealousy, lechers like rahool, maan should be her strength not her weakness...

even he should be taught a few lessons for judging Geet before he knows exactly what has happened...the old Geet would not fight back..it is his ministrations that should be tested on him first..
love is a by product of their interactions not the main subject....that is why i agree with brigette when she says..CVs have lost it...

oh my i have rambled on...but i really feel this show..can be a path breaking serial that will bring a revolution in how serials in india can work...a bit of fantasy but real issues..

i have heard of Balika Badhu doing well because of the cause it took up...

can Geet not be on those lines..again..i mean story..cos i have not seen Balika Badhu at all.

After all Geet.....hui sabse parayee....agar maan ki ho gayeee..to sabse kaise parayee rahegi...

Sacchi mein yaar, we all like these falling, eye locks, and all that BUT the main story is getting sidetracked. We have what 22 minutes of an episode and every 2 days we have a her falling/him catching scene, and every day twice (or more) we have an eye lock, every three days once we have a dupatta scene?

I am not saying we should not have romance. What I am saying is please let us have other situations, other angles, other ways and means of showing this romance rather than the contrived scenes and formula of falling/catching, eye locks, dupattas flying...etc.

Why can't we have them simply working together, smiling at something together, sharing a chai, working in a group together, solving some problem together etc., type of things --- all these also create love and love track can be developed in so many different ways not just by repeating some 20 times the falling/catching scene which is happening right from the time of Hoshiarpur, the eye locks are okay for some time but what about looking at a common thing and sharing amusement or something? The dupatta flying scenes, or the papers flying scenes ~ we can have something else. The pen or file falling - bumping their heads, staring ~ change that too.

We need new ways to develop the romance

Rush you are so true. Even Bri....I think in some of the posts I have mentioned the same thing. I remember in DMG I loved the original AR love story but after that I always thought the directors have gone for a trip with handing over the serial to the trainees. Believe me...

And am feeling the same thing here...I doubt that if the CVs are really paying attention to why we all are so glued to this serial. Are they even trying to understand why we have almost reached 200 pages in this forum within a short span of time. I still don't think so otherwise as Bri said they wouldn't be using the F.O.R.M.U.L.A..

One question to CVs is that "What is the use of falling, bumping, dancing or eyelocks if Maan and Geet's story doesn't move forward? And where are the aftereffects of all these actions? Are these the only tricks to make them fall in love?"

They are thinking that ppl are liking these stuff so drag it to the end and when the TRPs start falling they'll wake up from sleep and by the time they wake up the contracts of Gurmeet and Drashti will be over and then they'll leave...reason being the story is not moving forward ...Wah I never knew I was so fed up with the repeated scenes....You all may disagree with me also...but its the truth...CVs are really losing it...
