Chapter 12

She was shocked, hurt, flustered..oh..lord she had made a mistake a grave mistake as she walked backwards as if in slow motion still not able to taker eyes off the scene in front of her till everything became blurred and she realized, it was her tears, rolling silently down her cheeks, nargis thought she had known pain before'but this this'void was worse than her worst nightmare.

She sobbed and turned and ran out the door and just as she was reaching for the lift, she realized Vicky coming towards her on the trot and she took the stairs'two at a time. She just wanted to get away from there. Anywhere, oh why, why had she come? She was the worst kind of a fool. She had hardly reached down two flights of steps when she felt a hand grab her from behind. She almost fell when she was grabbed in strong arms and lifted her off the ground.

Vicky whispered, Nargis, Nargis, stop fighting, I am not going to hurt you. Listen, listen to me.. Nargis..please, just..come back upstairs..and listen to me'

Nargis was still silently struggling though she didn't have much strength left. She slumped in defeat and Vicky not waiting another minute turned with her in his arms and took the stairs back up to his apartment.

Nargis did not want to face the other woman and hid her face in Vicky's shoulders when she heard her saying to him, I am going, Vicky, call me if you need anything.

Vicky slowly put her on the couch, reluctantly not wanting to let go but he need to see her face when spoke to her. Vicky then went got her a glass of water, made her drink it and then wiped her tears sitting next to her. Nargis had stopped reacting as if going into trance, she could not move a muscle and let Vicky help her wipe her tears, just her eyes following every movement he made.

Then he spoke softly Nargis! I am sorry! I am so sorry! And hugged her. He needed to feel her and he anxiously put his hand in her hair, her back her shoulder moving hands up her back as if to confirm that she was here with him. He then pulled back a bit, cupped her face, and kissed her eyes, licking the tears away, her cheek following the path her tears had traced. He slowly kissed her lips and said. I missed you! I missed you so much! Nargis' eyes fluttered shut and a tear rolled down her cheek.

Vicky groaned No my love! Don't cry! I know I have caused you much heart ache but please Nargis don't cry! With a catch in his voice, nargis I love you! Lord I have been a fool! Don't nargis don't do this darling! As nargis now started to cry in earnest, sobs which raked over her body, Vicky gathered her in his arms cradling her, and whispering endearments that followed out with her tears.

Spent, nargis finally raises her head and says for the first time Vikram Singh Khurana, I am going to kill you! In between her dying sobs But contrary to her words she is smiling. She kisses him on the lips and says you have given me so much trouble I will make you pay for this.

Vicky's sense of humour kicking in asks, by the hour? Nargis laughs and says..oh by the second! You have lot of explaining to do so stop being cute and get on with it'

Vicky says..but first I want to hear you say it!

Say what says Nargis. Vicky then pulls her close, kisses her till she is out of breath and says'what you just said with your lips darling!

Nargis blushes and says softly I love you!

Vicky then went about explaining who she had seen and why. It was a revealing moment for nargis when he said that she was comforting him and was about to leave when you came. She had just clobbered some sense into me to go to India and confront you about Adi!

By the way, what is between you and Adi he questioned. Nargis smiled shyly and said a figment of your imagaination and when he moved to grab her she moved away and said.nothing nothing..there is nothing between us truly it was just you jumping to conclusion all by yourself. I tried to tell you but you were on a different stratosphere.

Vicky laughed at himself, bringing the twinkle back in his eyes, and shrugged oh well! at least he is safe from me now..

Vicky then covered the gap held nargis close and said.. I love you you Garam Masala Zeno! Don't leave me even if I am a fool!

Nargis smiled and said..we'll see!

Vicky said..btw'hamein..wapis jaana..hai'kyon ki bhai shaadi kar raha..hai..par'I want to spend time with you. Show you Paris, take you out on a date. Gosh Zeno, we have not had a date as yet!

Nargis laughs and says well about time you took me out now isn't it..

Wow...great update.....Vrushali...you met all of my expectations....This VSK is going to be the death of my sanity!!!!....but I do love him......😉

So....now our first date.....maybe the Eiffel tower again this time thru the eyes of a different Khurana??😆

pehle meri maddad karo, uske baad eiffel tower jaana! Shaadi ki saari preps adhoori hain, aur devar-devarani ji ko Paris se phursat nahin! Chartered flight to India mein apni saari romance kar lena abhi ke liye! 😆😆😆😆😆

Vicky, Maan tumhari vaat lagayega for running away like that! Aur mujhe bhi shopping mein help chahiye! 😃

Vrushali, are Vicky and Nargis going to announce their engagement as well?😉 Hmm, I think Maan wants to go to the Eiffel Tower since our whole thing kinda took off from there! Plus he wants to stay in the same hotel we were when we initially met! After paris, greece it is for us 😛

I just realized....Maan and Vicky have not taken Dadi's appproval.....especially Maan....jisne Shaadi ki planning bhi karli......hmmmm....

And Vicky...he loves is Dadi ma so much....so would he want her to meet Nargis before he pops the question....or are both brothers so confident in their choices that they are suer Dadima will agree!!! Waisey dekh jaye to in dono ko hum (Abs & Nargis) sey behtar ladkiyaan to milne waali hian nahi😉....so there is no question of Dadima's approval......its implicitly implied!!!!

And Vrushali....I am thinking the Vicky will do something very romantic...and special in anticipation of the proposal......whay say...any ideas?? It should be ZARA HATKE!!!😆

Dadi and spanners??? What she's not going to approve of me! 😕 Haila yeh kaunsi musibat ho gayi!

Yeah, we need to complete the project before we head out anywhere. Don't want work to suffer because of personal reasons!

Demanding hum nahin hain Vrushali! 😆😆 Demanding toh Maan aur Vicky ho rahe hain! 😆Maan ko mujhe pneumonia se bachaana hai, aur Nargis ko Vicky ko zara domesticate karna hai!
