first step to realisation that something is wrong in the head and heart war is ...the color Green
no not the traffic signal variety. the color of jealousy. yep it can be also used to envy but here its Green for jealousy...a little bit of poetic license..
Mann has started to or will after the dance sequence that he is jealous...
Based on today's episode here is what i have fantasised what will happen next between the today and the dance sequence tomorrow.
Prologue ( this has happened)
Mann was looking forward to the party being organised the way he had instructed Geet. He enters the hall and finds Geet doing the last minute arrangement and is lost in her watching do things and give instructions and trying to fit a bauble on the tree arrangement that is too high for her. He in fascination follows her every move with slight move of his head to match her movements like a mental tango they are doing together inspite of being so far apart. He blinks with amusement and tenderness at her attempts to reach as high she could. He literally eats her with his eyes and flash backs to the times when she had tripped into his arms and just like his thoughts she trips from the step ladder she had taken to reach the highest branch and he reaches her just in time to catch hold of her...
gathering her in his arms was a feeling he wanted to never let go..he could not take his eyes off her.. Geet seems to feel the same thing..tho she comes back to earth faster than Mann..
As she says she is fine, Mann, almost reluctantly, lets go of her....
He only then notices the time and reprimands Geet for not finishing up faster and that clients would be arriving shortly. Geet not knowing of any changes blurts out that there is still time and mann says no it has changed. just then Sasha enters and gives false info to mann which makes him mad and he literally tick Geet off. In the heat of the moment Sasha does come to know that mann and Geet knew eachother from hoshiarpur. but that's besides the point. he is so mad that he lets Sasha manipulate him to allowing her to finish up and asks Geet to go change her clothes and stop further deterioration of the situation.
Everyone seems to be waiting for Geet especially Mr chopra ( for good reasons) and his colleague Rahul who loves to lech on women. Mann had noticed him lech on Sasha and understood what kinda person Rahul was but courtesy had prompted him to shake hands with him when actually he would have loved to use the same hand to box him. Mann hated men who disrespect women anyway.
mann asks Adi and Sasha what is keeping Geet after the third time mr chopra asks after her and he almost had closed his hand in fist to hit Rahul when he says that he is all excited with the build up and cannot wait to meet Ms Geet.
Story
Geet hesitantly enters the hall. she had struggled to wear the sari as it looked to flimsy and filmy but Tasha had told her that Mann had given this to wear and well she did not want to invite his wrath further. As she walks she consciousl straightens the saree and then see mann and looks at him to gain his approval, to see ff he liked it that she wore what he had given and finds that mann is staring at her and walking towards her in slow motion and she walking towards him as if being pulled towards him. She did not want anything to go wrong. As Mann started to walk towards her as if a moth being drawn to a flame to be sucked in its vortex and burn up...in a pooff.. sees with the corner of his eye Mr Chopra move up to Geet and says...
Oh aap finally aa gayee... where were you. This party is very well organised aapne to bahut achcha intezaam kiya hai. Now Rahul swoops in like a vulture on dead meat and oogle on Geet while extending his hand says...oh to aap Geet hai! looking up and down with lewd eyes.. Yahan sab aapki itni tareef kar rahe the! it will be a pleasure to work with you he says rubbing his jaw with hand as he leers at her. Mann then kinda shields geet partially from Rahul and says Geet tum ja kar dekho khana ka sab set ho gaya hai. I am sure mr chopra would like to eat now. Geet thanking mann silently almost runs away from there to go look at the food. here she finds that the menu has gone totally awry. there is chole, poori, paneer and dal instead of the Thai and Continental mann had wanted and she had instructed the hotel. But before she could try and find out what has happened
mann bring the clients for dinner and then says babaji sab theek rakhna. mann seeing the food is shocked but in front of clients he does nothing other than glare at Geet as if he would love to murder her at that very moment.
Rahul is still in pursuit of Geet and keeps moving towards and comments on her saree and mann does not like that. he has specifically wanted Geet to wear appropriate dress for party and not this..(she does look delicious he thinks) but that Rahul what right does he have to say..aap bahut khoobsurat lag rahi hai...i like it sab aaj kal western outfit pehante hain..aapne.. ye khoobsurat sari pehni hai. you like to look different isnt it. Sasha then adds who was there as well. Bechari ke paas aur kuch hoga nahi isiliye shaadi mein pehante hein waisi saree sari pehni hai. Rahul still trying to act fresh and maaro line on Geet moves in and starts talking to Geet and being an innocent bholi bhali chori, Geet talks animatedly with Rahul. Mann seeing this is seething with anger clenching and unclenching his hands into fist. Rahul in the mean time asks Geet for a dance and she not wanting to upset the client says i dont know how to dance and tries to refuse but Rahul doesn't take no for an answer and pulls geet on the dance floor to a smoochy number playing.
mann is left on the side lines seething. Rahul and Geet are trying to dance but poor Geet is not very comfortable and when he twirls her her sari gets stuck on one the trees and rahul helps her remove it.. as he is removing it, she darts nervous glances around and finds mann glaring at her in anger and wonders why he is so angry. As her sari is released she makes her escape across the floor away from Rahul and mann comes towards her jacket removed and with dagger eyes full of anger come towards her and saying dance with me. when geet refuses he pulls her to him and says...just dance.. you have done enough for tonight just because i have not said anything does not mean i will tolerate your mistakes. first it was the food now the saree. she says sari...but ye to aap ne pehne ke liye di thi..kyon? kya hua.. he sniggers and says phir jhooth meine koi sari nahi di...and all this conversation while they were dancing...mann could not handle her being looked at by any man Rahul least of all..
