It was impenetrably dark.....she opened the window...and the moonlight sifted in through the bars.
She turned around searching...a quest that ended on seeing him standing there. He moved forward...the shadow of a smile darkening his eyes. Her breath was stuck...and came in breaks. His hand neatly rested on her waist and she felt herself engulfed in his arms.

Her senses were still singing a song...that was unquestionably 'HIS'. She placed her head against his chest...try to gauge the pace of his heart. It matched hers....
"We are simply meant to be..." his voice nuzzled her nape...
She looked up at him...his face now clearly framed by the sunlight...those eyes were the most penetrating eyes she had ever seen...they belonged to...
Geet sat up and felt cold sweat trickle down her spine.
"Oye Geet tujhe kya hua??? Kaise bakwaas sapne dekhne lagi...Tu aur Maan?? Chi chi...." she scolded herself.
Those eyes had peeked into her soul...she found it impossible not to recognize whom they belonged to.
She picked up the water bottle placed at her bed stand and uncapped it. She took three wholesome gulps of water and splashed the remaining on her face.
"Work Overload se ajeeb ajeeb sapne bhi aane lage...Pehle Voldemort ke baare mein sapne dekhti thi aur ab Maan ke baare mein....waise toh dono same category mein aate hain..." she told herself.
"So jaa Geet warna Khadoos-ud-din kal tera keema banayega...." she warned herself and fell back to a restless sleep.
Geet loved her work. The past two months had been gruelling but she thoroughly enjoyed working hard and Maan had proved to be a natural Business wizard. Pratham Khurana would have been more than proud seeing Maan's work. Her efficiency had also played a pivotal role in Khuranas success. The whole force working at the Khuranas knew that Maan and Geet were a typhoon in professional ways. The two of them could work miracles together.
But on the personal front they were still frozen. Dadi and Geet had gelled like water and wetness. Dadi wished that there would be some improvement in the duo's relationship but......... none ever came. They stopped having heated verbal showdowns but they maintained an icy distance. The vaccum between them was filled with work work and work. Geet was more willing to try and understand Maan. But he had fortified himself completely with business.

"Geet main zara bahaar jaa raha hoon. Most probably Shah Industries CEO will be here to assess the entertainment package. Make sure they are well attended to and show them the CD. I want no mistakes....This is the biggest deal we will strike. It will be a landmark in Khuranas Records. I have some extremely imporatant issues to attend to...you know the Air Force work. Give me a call and let me know they like it"
Geet nodded vigorously.
"Sir don't you worry....I'll take care."
Maan gave a curt nod and left.
She sighed and flopped back into her chair. The door opened again and Maan reappeared..." Aur haan...See to it that Vivaan creates no trouble while the Shah group is here....I want absolutely no mishaps...You get me?"
"No thank you sir...I am happy without 'getting' you..." she muttered under her breath.
"Pardon?" he looked at her curiously.
"Oh sure sir...Everything will be under control..."
"I hope so.." he looked at her uncertainly and took the air.
Vivaan was a 4yr kid who had been found in Dadi's car. Dev had found him tucked away in the backseat...crouching and scared. They had filed a case in the station but there had been no hints yet as to who were his parents and what he had been doing in the car. The police were still searching and meanwhile Dadi had taken up Vivaan's responsibilty.
He was an adorable child and had taken to Geet instantly. Dadi had a tough time feeding him and making him sleep so she had shifted him to Geet's house. Geet doted on Vivaan and had refused to let him stay at the house while she was away at work. She had got special permission from Maan to get Vivaan along with her to the office. He had been apprehensive about a kid running around in the office but Dadi had overruled his concerns and insisted that Geet be allowed to bring him along.
Vivaan had become a star in the office...His cute expressions and adorable walk had created a frenzy amongst the employees. Every single day from the time Vivaan had come in there was some or the other mishap in the office. Sometimes bubblegum was found in the soup served to the top notch Companies' heads who visited Khuranas...or sometimes Maan found his important papers scribbled with crayons.
Vivaan was a riot!!!!
Geet went to Maan's cabin and searched on his table for the required CD. She had seen him put in his greatest efforts on this package.
She picked up the CD case and removed it from its cover. She had to make sure that it was okay..." No mishaps" he had warned. Geet would take no chances....
A tiny hand snatched the disc from her...
"Vivaan nahin...not this one..."
Vivaan smiled innocently at Geet and gurgled.." Frisbee!!!!"
"Vivaan no...." she screamed in horror as he sent the CD flying right out of the window.
A sense of doom permeated the room and Vivaan's tinkling giggle was the only sound her ears could hear.
"Vivaan...bacchu yeh tune kya kiya????Ab meri Naukri to gayi..." she panicked.
She scooped him up and rushed out of the Office building in the direction of the open window of Maan's cabin. Darn! the parking lot was there.
She hurried to the guard.
"Bhaisaab yahaan pe ek gol CD pada hua hain..Please usse dhoond ke laon..." she begged him.
"Madam..aap yedi hain kya?...Is parking lot mein 120 cars park hote hain...Aap chahti hain main apki CD yahaan dhoondu? Jayiye Madam..Comedy Circus join keejiye...." he rudely told her off.
Geet looked at Vivaan who was staring hard at the guard totally oblivious to the damage he had caused Geet.
She hurried back to the building with Vivaan and marched upto her cabin.
"Ab tum yahin rahoge....warna no Ben 10 tonight!" she threatened.
Vivaan sulked and seated himself on her chair. Geet looked around the office...The CEO would be arriving any moment now. She had too act fast.
She dived into the purse and found the CD she had been carrying.
"This should work for the time being. I will redo the whole package after they sign the deal...."
The CEO and his group arrived soon and Geet welcomed them warmly totally controlling the situation. She showed them into the board room and provided them with refreshments.
"So Miss Geet.....we would like to see what you have got for us."
"Sure sir...Hope you enjoy it..." she nervously smiled.
She dimmed the lights and played the CD.
She crossed her fingers and hoped they liked the movie.
After one and half hours when Maan pushed open the door of the board room he saw all the Shah Industries men sitting on the edge of their seat intensely staring at the screen.
But Maan couldn't recognize the scenes on the screen...that was not the package Geet was supposed to be showing....What the hell was happening.
Geet saw Maan peeking in...her heart beats incresed rapidly...Fear and dread coursed up her spine. He signalled her to his side with his magnetic eyes. She obeyed robotically.
"Geet...yeh kya bakwaas hain? Where is the package I designed?" he demanded.
"Sorry sir...woh CD kho gayi..." she whimpered.
His eyes flashed dangerously..." Kho gayi...kya matlab? Mere table pe to thi..."
"Sir, Vivaan ne usse frisbee samajh kar khidki ke bahar phenk diya..." she supplied in a meek voice.
He balled is palm into a fist and clenched his jaw....
"Aur tum ne usse phenkne diya.....I had worked day and night designing that package for this Company....and with a toss of a hand you let it go down the drain...." he brutally held her arm imprinting his fingers on her skin.
Her eyes squeezed with tears and she heard the suppressed rage in his voice.
"I am really sorry sir....I will redo the whole package..."
He looked at the screen...
"Sir...I put on 'Shutter island' CD instead..." she saw the question in his eyes.
He let go off her...took a deep breath...and said firmly..." You are fired Geet! Get lost....out of my sight and out of my life..."
Geet felt her world drop...those eyes that she had dreamed of were whirlpooling in fury. She knew he meant it...
The lights came back on and the group arose.
"Ah Mr. Maan...I must say excellent Job...this is what you call resource management... Using resources already available for Entertainment. We are impressed...we will surely show this movie to those young men...They will enjoy it. The deal is on...You are a genius!" the CEO shook Maan's hand.
Vivaan stumbled into the room in search of Geet.
"Geet..di...Chachu!" he said looking at the CEO.
The man bent low and scooped up Vivaan..." Vivaan....what are you doing here? Your parents have been frantically searching for you everywhere....."
"Sir he was found in our car. We filed a report in the station and were waiting for some response. He has been staying with Geet since that time...." Maan replied.
"Mr. Maan my brother will be relieved to see his son back...Thank you Geet for taking Care of Vivaan. I hope he didn't cause much trouble...."
"No sir...not at all.." Geet said in a soft voice.
"Okay then Mr. Maan.....We will send the contract papers over to you. Take Care and thank you once again."
They made an exit. Geet followed them out of the room with tears filling her eyes.
