Neither do I have any idea...I'm from a family of mixed religions lol...I've never witnessed a hindu wedding as such...dunno...

chhodo na...kya fark padta hai! Humein nahi pata...all that matters is that Geet gets justice for what Dev did to her.

Anyways getting back to your post, I completely agree with you! Im dissapointed and disgusted by Devs behavior towards an innocent girl like Geet and his own wife Nayanatara . Its hard to believe such men exist like him but sadly they do in the real world.

Its also very dissapointing to see Geet still denying that Dev betrayed her.. I understand shes a simple village girl and her marriage means everything to her but still the truth is right infront of her but i just wish that she sees it.

Im waiting for that day when Geet like you said becomes a strong inner and outer person. I want her to stand up for herself as a women and for all the other women in the world. This issue raised in Geet is very realistic in the world today, so I want Geet to be a role model for those other girls who have struggled with the same issue.

Anyways i dont wanna make my reply any longer but hope all you guys got the point!

@Fuzz....haha I know I wrote a monstrous post, but couldn't help it...I just vented all the pent up anger at Dev in this one post...thanks for the views! And yeah it is really hard to digest the fact that Geet still hasn't accepted Dev to be a cheat...I hope she gets it soon!

lol but the sad thing here is that after learning the devastating news of Dev's dhoka...the Darji's immediate concern was for his family's honour, not the fact that Geet has been emotionally scarred for life.

he has no regards for the fact that what a tremendous shock and sarma Geet must be going through now, instead of providing her emotional support, he bluntly ORDERS her to forget the marriage like it was some game!!!

really sick but such mindset exists even today in remote villages of the Northern States.....where people are even murdered for family honour's sake....

PS if you have seen the newspapers lately...theres been an awful lot news about couples being killed for marrying inter-caste....e.g ongoing case of journalist Nirupama

That's the very point of this topic dear! That's what I'm so agitated about...that for daarji and the others, all that matters is the family's pride, not the turmoil that Geet is going through! It is so PATHETIC!

And yes, I'm up to date about these honour killings...they're simply cold-blooded MURDER in my eyes...

its horribly CHILLING how the blindfold of the drug called "honour" can make murderes of Parents..the very people who gave biorth and nurtured their children ...its disturbing, highly disturbing.

and the sad part is that the instances of honour killings show no let up despite the fact that some honour killers were sentenced to death by Supreme Court.

Gotta agree with the points your raise 👏

But one technical yet fatal flaw in your post has to be referring to dev as her "HUSBAND" when their wedding was fake - a sham. Either than the fake pundit, were marriage certifcates even signed? She is NOT HIS WIFE, she was trciked to think so. I would like to say she will be getting revenge for her honour, dignity, intelligence and emotions that were so badly insulted in this scam. Not because some "husband"cheated her but because some strangers with disgusting intentions manipulated her clueless family and she was slaughtered in the crossfire!

To an extent her family especially Daarji have to bear a large portion of the blame esp when Geet didnt even want to get married. I think they're having A LOT of trouble handling this situation cos it's probably the first time wheren ALL THE FAULT LIES WITH THE MEN IN THE HOUSEHOLD and there really is no way they can put any blame on the women so they're probably doing as much to minimise the damage as they're trying to find a way to blame anyone in that house with oestrogen!
