Ninaivil ninravan part V

Fearless Caryn runs blindly into the forest towards the source of the distress call to save the 'gentleman in grief' ( eppa paaru 'damsel in distress' solli bore adikudhuppa). Others run behind her cos everyone feels safe in Caryn's company😃.

Caryn finds a man holding a big jack fruit over his head , visibly shivering and tied to a big tree. He is wearing a panjakaccham dhoti and has a sleeveless, button -less cotton jacket. He has kundalam hanging from his ears , silver kanganam on his hands and silver thandai around his ankles. He has fear written all over his face.In no time his ropes are untied – Giri is so surprised at Caryn's speed, when some one angrily shouts,

"yaar ange? Mannar vaettai aadumpodhu kurukkitta andha kayavanai pidiyungal".

She turns around to find that she has barged into a hunting party. She eyes the head hunter & bursts into laughter.

Caryn to other CK makkal –"Hey, look at this Wacko".

Manguni Pandiyan realizes his mistake and starts his jollu😳. Riya massages her back involuntarily😉.

Manguni Pandiyan – "Pulikesi manna, palappazham vettai aada vandha namakku ( corrects himself after a stern look from Pulikesi) ungalukku azhagiya maangal kidaithuvittana".

Meanwhile Pulikesi is already floored by dare devil Caryn and his eyes are ready to fall out anytime.

Puli in a konjal voice to Caryn ❤️– "Azhagiye nee yaar? Unnudan irukkum indha kanmanigal yaar?" At this CK makkal realize they have travelled back to 18^th century & gather closer to Caryn for protection.

Caryn in a stylish voice – " naanga Vienna poittu planela varum podhu, flightla problem, flighta irakka vendiyadha pocchu".

Puli – " Nee solvadhu onrum vilangavillai kattazhagiye".

Caryn points to his dress – "unnoda dress vidyasama irukke?"

Manguni – "Oh adhuva? Inge sendra murai AC Durai enru oruvar vandhar, appodhu avarai parthu mannar adhe pola udai thaithu vittar. Adhe pola oru thuppakkiyum engal irumbu-kollanai (black smith) vaithu seiya sonnar. Thuppakki suda pazhagi kondu irukkar mannar".

Caryn tries handling the gun, but instead of bullets, small arrows shoot out of it.

Pulikesi – "Sari vaarungal, nam aranmanaikku povome".

Horses are brought and the CK makkal ride in pairs. Pulikesi tries taking Caryn with him😛, but she completely ignores him.

At the palace, Puli shows great hospitality and special attention to Caryn.

Pulikesi to Caryn– "ka……ka……ca……po".

Manguni translates – "kandhadhum kaadhal konden caryn-azhagi"

Caryn erupts 😡😡– "ka….ka…..ka…..po – kaalil- irukaradhai kazhatiduven kadangara".

Idhukku mela Pulikesi🥺 is not ready to risk any further and agrees to leave her alone.

Hos, assured that CK makkal will not come to any harm, explains to Pulikesi about the trip and seeks his help. Pulikesi readily agrees to her plan and arranges for a 'suyamvaram' in his aranmanai😉.

NINAIVIL NINRAVAN -Part 6

Pulikesi decides to have an elaborate 'Suyamvaram function'.

Puli – "Manguni Pandiyare, suyamvara vizha patri namakku therindha veerargalukkellam pura moolam olai anuppa erpadu seiyum".

MP – "Vendaam arasae, ungali pola avargalum puravai varuthu thindru vital, indha azhagigal kadhi enna aagum, naam veerargal moolamaga olai anupuvome manna".

Puli – "yaar ange, yaar ange.. adei yarada ange , ragala gula pandiyargala, seekiram vandhu tholaiyungaledah".

Suyamvaram invitations are sent to many brave warriors.

The hall is very grandly decorated and the prospective grooms arrive and are welcomed warmly. As usual CK makkal are glittering.

The grooms' introduction begins

Hos – "Adada , idhenna kootha irukku – mapillaigal orutharum otthu varalaiye".

Giri – "Amaanga, ippo enna pannalaam yosinga. Naan konjam France varaikkum poittu varen. Enna Rathy readya, kilambalama?"

Ninaivil Ninravan – Concluding Part

There was nothing else to be done at Pulikesis. So everybody boarded the flight and Pulikesi bid good bye with a really perrrrrriya ekka perumoochu. The next stop - romantic France.

Suram joined the crew in France. She went in search of a good French Comb, hairoil, rubberbands and hairpins for Anniyan and it is reported that Kenny used Suram's gifts for his latest 'Kandasamy'. Riya later told Giri that she along with Hos, Kavitha , Sue, Nallu , Vani, Caryn, Fluid,Rathy and Meli had gone up the Eiffel tower.

Fluid sent an English love letter to her fianc written in Tamil. Hos had gone along with the hope that she might find some Hollywood grooms up there – haven't we heard of Cruise proposing there? Suram's live running commentary in sundara Madras Baashai got broadcast from the top of the tower and hearing this Mrs and Mr.Roja had found them. Jas and Giri were busy with their 9^th round of coffee & missed all this. So it was the others who brought the picture this time.

As Hos was finding it difficult to pull up Giri and Jas from their 28^th round, she instead turned towards Suram. Suram Chennai tamizhla kaadhal paadangal sollithara – Vani, Nallu & Caryn konja neram sirichittu suddena disappear aagittanga.

Hos romba kavalaiya Giri and Jas kitta varanga,

Jas- "Don't worry Hos! Everything will be fine" and she pulls out a pic.

After 2 days Vani, Nallu and Caryn return back one by one with matches found by themselves.

There is a familiar sound and it is none other our Roja who had cut short her holidays – eppadiyum indha CK makkal vidama thoratha poradhugal, pesama naamale thirumbi vandhudalaam nu seekirame vandutaanga along with her hubs.

1)I have just started watching Kolangal. I find some funny coincidences between this and Anandham. I am jus trying something new in which I am at KG level , but Roja Akka has a doctorate👏.

2) I clarify that I have no relation or semblance to that 'Boss boss' Giri😡 of kolangal.😆😆

3) I dedicate this to Suram, Sue , Niti and Eljay whose comments gave me the idea for this kitchadi😉.

Kolangal Thols is in hiding at the 'Kallarai thottam' whose presence has troubled the inhabitants there. Karpagam (hv I got the name correct?) the 'oppaari Queen'( title given by Roja akka) is on her way to 'kilpauk mental hospital' affected by her daughter K-Abi's condition. Dhilla the 'tayir kadaiyara matthu' is on the lookout for Thols and Adhi the 'mike muzhungi' is after Dhilla. Medical school dropout thaadiwala Lingam is in the ICU with K- Abi.

Anandham A-Abi is searching for her mom and China Pecchi KNK has reserved a bed for A-Abi in kilpauk hospital. In return A-Abi has promised KNK a berth in kannamapettai 'kallarai thottam'. AC Durai is currently on a case trying to find the whereabouts of one thaadi/curly 'Murugesh'.

So idhu serials situation – enna nadakudhunnu parpome.

KKK is searching the entire house for Abi and not finding her there, she starts searching for her street after street , calling out her name and reaches kannamapettai.

A-Abi visits KNK in SKPD's house and finding her alone, starts threatening and accusing her that she is a fraud and chases KNK to kannamapettai. At the burial ground, the ghosts are tossing and turning cos of the presence of Thols. KKK is calling out 'Abi……Abi…. Engama irukke?' A-Abi leaves KNK and goes to KKK, "Amma amma… neenga thana en ammava… ithanai naala engamma irundeenga?" They both unite & compete for the oppari title😃. The ghosts come out of their tombs at the intolerable sounds. KKK calls up Anandhi to inform her that she found Abi. Anandhi is shocked to know that KKK is in kannamapettai and repeats KKK's words loudly, so Lingam thinks the next bed neighbour is someone else and follows Anandhi to KPettai.

Dhilla has spotted an anxious Anandhi and follows her to u know where.

Anandhi followed by Lingam reach KKK. Anandhi although first skeptical , looking at her mom's face accepts A-Abi.Thols tries talking to A-Abi- she cuts off his nose . A-Abhi sarithiramla 'friends' appadingara vaarthaiye kidaiyadhu. Thols stand there beh beh beh.

The ghosts take away Dhilla underground with them, thinking he is one of them from his zombie looks , stance and dance.

Meanwhile AC Durai having heard A-Abi-KNK recorded conversation at the police control room leaves for kannamapettai with JC Vincent. Before Lingam can try anything on A-Abi, AC Durai pounce on him. He calls up Murugesh's wife and forcibly dump Lingam on her as her hubby. JC congratulate AC that he has solved one case. A-Abi & co leave. A-Abi can give a tougher fight to Adhi, especially vocally.

Eljay who has been closely following ACD and his cases prepares 'araichu vitta payasam with lot of mundri and drakshai'. Giri (Jasoda chittu😆) is first in the queue, followed by Suram, Shylock and Niti. Kavitha supervises the payasam and Sue supervises Kavitha😉.

Kitty Party

IF Members Lounge , Friday evening. Men are giving finishing touches to the sets they have erected – artificial trees are put up and 3 ft height foam mattress under them. On the other side dinner tables are laid and 100 chairs around the tables. Locatione allolagapadudhu. Kitty partynnu sonna udane ellarum 2 naala surusuruppa preparation arambichachu.

Kavi and Eljay prepared an elaborate menu👏. Kurumbu Nallu😛 is running into the kitchen whenever Kavitha comes out. After her trip to Mockyo with Roja akka, Nallukku 'dillu' adhigam aagiducchu. Vinu is flying high with her vivid Anandham updates. She has come with her hubby and son.

A 'single singam' stylishly walks and sits next to Vinu😃. Vinu's husband has a jerk. But Vinu smiles and greets our new 'IF Vadivelu'. Soon after, they both go into a serious discussion about 'masakai'. Caryn is busy these days writing CKs👏 and there is a huge crowd around her . She is currently on her project 'Office – Dimikki for Dummies'. Sue arrives with her hubby 'one leg tied up'. Sue chechi, please don't be so harsh on him. 😃

Vani runs in to the lounge ready to ban- ban everyone. She takes communication lessons for wives these days. Netrarama also has come with her husband. She is smiling radiantly – paavam inge enna enna aaga poghudo?😳

Tamil's military uniform is missing, but is dressed in casual jeans and long tops. Her pant pocket is bulging – enna thuppakkiyo?😛 Roja akka is missing.

Hos looks around for Giri and Jas and not finding them sits next to Vani. A sad Pokkiri enters, his head fully shaven.

Suddenly a black pep+ scooter arrives. The scooter has an empty third seat, between and raised above the 2 riders. The riders Giri and Jas arrive singing (Thrisoolam tune)

"irandu kaigal aaraanaal 'x- women' part 4 uruvaagume,

Pagaivargale odungal single ippo triple aanadhe.. triple aanadhe…"

Vinu also starts whistling the tune and much to the shock of her hubby and son goes & occupies the third seat. Circusla vara madiri trio comes around the lounge till everyone's hair starts falling down.😆

Roja akka is yet to come. Kavi invites everyone to have food – it is evening tiffin cum dinner so shall we name it 'tinner'? So both snacks and full course meals are available. Thank you Kavi / Eljay. Giri enjoys the delicious chitrannam with avial😳. Jas , Vinu and Giri end with aromatic Saravanas.😃

Next event - Entertainment

Everyone seems to be enjoying when the lights suddenly go off. Fluidd walks away. There is commotion at the entrance. Tamil helps Roja akka in bringing a group of people into the lounge. They huddle together at the far end.

Lounge is very silent when a figure in white saree, viricha thalai and a candle in hand comes in singing 'urugudhe marugudhe arugile vaa vaa…..' Many screams are heard. Vera yaaru, namma Eljay than. Pramadha performance – she gets a standing ovation.

Lights come on and the If members find familiar faces near Roja akka and Tamil. Anandham makkal is delighted to find their heart-throbs ACD –Priya. Others include Ram- Kasthuri , Aadhi – Usha , Anjali –Ashok, Nithila – Selva ( hope I got the couples correctly!)😳 Roja has a determined look on her face and Giri has a secret smile. The couples look nervous but Roja and Tamil steer the group towards the trees. Giri pulls a lever and ropes fall down from the trees. The couples are asked to do Tarzan – Jane act with the ropes and the couple which last more than 10 mins above the ground will be declared the 'Most Romantic Couple'. The reel couples provide good entertainment by falling down like coconuts. Ennada idhu... oru winner kooda illaiya? The laughter die when there is a yearning lone female voice singing away from the top of one of the trees.

Someone is seen kudichu-kudichu running in slowmotion towards the voice, climbing the tree and disappearing behind the branches.

2 ropes fall down and a new couple swinging & singing oblivious to their surroundings.

IF lounge declare them the Most romantic couple – Fluidd and her Viscoelastic would-be. Hos moves towards the reel couples – avanga velai avangalukku. 😆

Time -Friday evening

Time is 4pm – Lounge kaathu vangittu irukku. Innikku than samayal inge illaye – aalukku oru item kondu varanum illaiya – so inimel than Lounge soodu pidikanum. Giri ,"thaniye thanan thaniye naan parthu parthu ninnen"😭 paadittu she is arranging the dais, the path leading to it and tables for veg & no veg 'tinner' and then disappears somewhere😛.

The hall slowly fills up. First entry is dramatic; an angel flies and lands at the centre. The face is very tired and has a white flower – Symptoms of Anandham updatomania syndrome is visible on the face. She has brought Ragada patties. Adha saapittu inge irukkara parties enna ragalai panuvangalo theriyalaiye!!

Next enters a beautiful lady in a silk saree but over it she is wearing a 2 piece bathing suit. She is continously cursing the Vulcan sisters & has brought jalebi, basoondi and halwa.

Aduthadha someone like Laila enters carrying a log. On one side an oonjal is hanging and at the other end is a rope –thooli. 2 sideleyum 2 azhagana pengal irukkanga. The one on the oonjal has a 'V' shape cut on her hair top. She has aloo chat and samosas in her basket. The other girl has murukkus hanging from her ears. Both of them give nasty looks at each other every now and then😡.

Kovai Sarala in an orange saree enters whistling and speaking in a very very clean and punidhamana sundara Chennai tamizh.

Surprise, surprise- Next enters Priya herself from Anandham and the murukku – ears girl runs to her side, hugs her. She acts as if she found a long lost kutti sister (Vulcan sis 3 peru than, but idhu vera track).

There is a lot of salasalappu at the entrance and Vijay makes a grand entrance. But he starts scrutinizing everyone as if he has come for some recruitment. But the moment he talks, it is understood that it is another female IF member who is an ardent fan of Vijay.

Next person to enter the hall is Radhika. She puts her hands forward and joins the 2 thumbs at right angles to the rest of her fingers – camera anglela ellaraiyum parkaranga. Pesa aarambicha theriyudhu avanga oru male university student.

Rhodes with her son enters and sits calmly in a corner. Ellarum kutti Raayhan konja poranga. Rhodes is very beautiful – pudu amma illaiya .

Next a Lamb enters with biriyani – But the lamb is a daredevil koodave yaaru parunga. Achacho ivanga yaarunu theriyudha?

Saroja Devi makes a grand entry in a yellow saree, she looks very tired as if she had jus done a kutthu dance after seeing someone drown in the lake.

Adhuthu rendu peru varanga – oruthar butterfly costume on top of shorts and shirt, naakila jalam oora … innoruthar romance cinema ellam eduthu dappakulla pottu, kuluki, kalaki pudu artistes pottu Lollu Cinema edukaravanga.

Ippo a black saadhu poonai kutty with house coat and a kodali kondai wig enters and everyone claps to welcome Roja akka, but following her, another 5 similar cats enter. Yaaru ivangalem? Atlantisla spacekku Roja ponangale appo , an alien spacecraft had intercepted her. Finding her to be the most sensible person on earth, they had come to earth for more intelligence – their first lesson is to dress up like her and follow her everywhere – looks like they are taking practical lessons – anegama indha aliens bhoomiyai vittu pogumpodhu romba 'vivagaaramana' aliensa than povanganu ennakku thonudhu, what do you all think?

By now all are chatting comfortably and share the dishes they have brought. Some of the other items include masala dosai, adai, avial, chutney, sambar, biriyani, adhirasam, murukku, halwa, poori , pongal, bagalabath etc etc. Almost everyone has recognized everyone else.

As discussed earlier Eljay starts her 'Lunu' classes and Jas😡😃 is every now and then sharing some Lunu jokes with her much to the 'erichal' of the rest. For most part of the evening Priya had been doing nothing but smile sweetly. Giri also had given her company most of the time – company appadina enna? Chumma avala parthu ivalum punsirippu😊.

Priya –"Giri emandutiya? Naan unmaiyile Priya illai… naan…"

Giri – "Ungala ennakku theriyadha? Eppo Raayan kuttikku paper vaachichu kamichingalo appave kandu pidichiten". Giri gives her a plate of vadai😳.

Vinu calls up Giri to join her in learning new lessons. Vinu eats the murukkus from Giri's earrings and Giri pulls the jilebi pendant from Jas. Hardly had Giri put the jilebi into her mouth when she starts "mnu nmu umn mmu nnnu….."

Jas- "Hey idhu enna pudu languagea irukke? Ennakku theriyadha unakku mattum eppadi theriyum?"

Giri –"Mannangatti… en enoda kaalai midicheenga?"😡😃

Vendudhal Niraivetral

It is just 5 in the early margazhi morning. The control tower has never been this busy in the history of Chennai airport. The flights are landing just metres behind each other and the runaway is already full and no more parking available. Flights have come from all over the world and one from the moon as well. The long awaited & promised Sriperumpudur airport is yet to be sanctioned, instead a temporary runaway and parking bay has been setup at such a short notice of 10 hours & the newer flights are diverted there. There is general happiness and excitement around. Special passes and badges are being issued to the passengers who have come for the big event. At the exit, a 12" x 8" brown paper packet is given along with another bundle. Elaborate arrangements have been organized for transporting the people from both the airports to the venue.

"Function ethanai manikku?"

"Sayankalam 5 manikku Marina beachla than function, but ippo naama ellarum straighta Vandaloor porome. Ange irundhu than aarambam".

Huge tents have been erected at Vandaloor just opposite to Chennai Zoological park. Inside there is sandhosham but no over- rejoicing until all prior tasks are completed. The last of the transports had come and gone. There is an announcement outside that the event will be flagged off in the next half an hour. Everyone freshens up and changes into the new dress taken out of the paper bag given at the airport. The bundles are unwrapped. Kavi is struggling with her juicer, but Giri gifted her with 5 more new juicers. Outside fresh orange juice from the big andas are distributed in plastic cups to each and everyone coming out of the tent. They hurriedly finish the drink. Giri is very serious, looking forward to finishing her vendudhal. Yes, ACD has cracked a big case and Giri is geared up to walk the GST road bare footed in yellow saree and vepillai in hand. All her Anandham friends – Roja akka, Eljay, Caryn, Vinu, Fluidd , Jas ( although she has no clue about who is ACD, she has still come with tamil novels edhukku?to take on Giri 😃– Giri edhavadhu vai vittu ippadi than maatippa. 😭) Meli, Kavi, Nallu, Pat, Hos, Usha, Netra, Pokkri, Bon eating pumpkin pie and kesari and many others have come. Most of them have come to show their love and support.

The procession begins at 10 AM, passes through Perungalathur, Tambaram, Sanitorium, Chrompet, Pallavaram, Meenambakkam, Guindy, Saidapet , Teynampet and through Mount Road after Thousand Lights take a right turn towards Marina Beach. A huge pandal is laid on the beach. It is almost 4PM. What happened was there were thousands of others outside the Forum who also had similar vendudhal for the big case of the day. So the procession had grown bigger and longer and slower. Eljay had symbolically carried a pot of araicha vitta paysam , to be shared by close friends later on. But Giri learnt that Eljay had forgotten her earlier promise😆 (amam indha vendhudal offer seidu ethanai naal aagivittadhu?😉 ) and instead had handed over paysam section to Kavi and she was carrying something called Baklava. Girikku idhellam enge theriya poradhu?😕 Giri climbs on to the dais and thanks everyone for helping her in completing the vendudhal but not before a kolavisattham – 'lubu lubu lubu lubu' and echoed by the thousands below. They then proceed towards the beach and throw the neem leaves into the sea. There is an urgent announcement from the dais. It is the Chennai Commissioner of Police, asking the present participants to vacate the area as early as possible, becos there is another procession towards the beach –viewers of Kolangal.😃 The Anandham makkal wait to cheer the others.
