I agree with Nallu - babies are a boon, esp if they stay in one place. It is only when they are crawling and touching everything that they wear the mother out! Of course, babysitting is fine even then, because we all know we can hand over the baby to the mother when we are done! On a serious note, though, I did regret that I could not have any more babies after my second. So enjoy your baby, Rhodes.

Ho, he is 8 now. He was interested in reading but I think he is at age where things are "BORING" for him. My sister tries to instill reading habits as well but he is playful at the mo so we are giving him space for time being. He is more interested in things like cars/robots etc. He take very deep interest in that. He loves watching tv on animals in sea etc. But my 5 years old have interest than eldest. He brain power to remember is very powerful and can quote word from word is excellent.

For eg. this morning we were all taking about Sooran/Murugan saga, and the 5 years old said Shiva had 6 heads, and all the adults were shocked and asked him where Shiva had 6 heads, he went on to bring the book where my sister read to him, and proved us wrong. 😊

It is true HO, you can instill good reading even if they are babies. Maybe he lost interest after I went to work outstation for 2 years, while my sister was in London. He got hooked to cartoons. 😃

Caryn, you are right. I have heard the same things too, so I read to mine when they were still in the womb, hoping they were listening! Even after they were born, we were always in the library, and to date, both of them are crazy about books and reading. They do watch TV games, but still prefer reading.

This is the 4th time iam sitting to write reply to the wishes...everytime i start, Rayhaan calls me..i will go to him..hope today i successfully complete the reply .
