Hosanna you are right, my M.I.Law used to make it for fun with scrapped ice for us. She calls it ice cupoi.
She will drizzle, syrup and evaporated milk on top. Yummy.

Nallu, have some milagu kashayam. Warm milk, add ground pepper and heat till milk gets reduced in quantity. Add turmeric powder, this is called attacking the cold from all sides, some sugar, close your eyes and swallow in one big gulp. Your cold will run away overnight, or at least get reduced in intensity.
