Part.6-Date

The scene opens when Kanya rushes out of her friend Amrita's house to catch a bus. She is planning on catching the bus to go to Pizza Hut to have pizza and after that to go to the theater to go and see the film Jaane Tu……Ya Jane Na. The bus arrives.

Kanya- Bus ko roko sahib!!

The bus comes to a sudden halt. Kanya gets inside.

Conductor- Kahaan jaana hain aapko?

Kanya- Woh Pizza Hut hain na Linking road mein. Udhar jaana hain bhai sahib.

Conductor- Okay ji. Aap sit down kariye.

Kanya- Ticket ka kitna hoga?

Conductor- 10 rupees.

Kanya- Sure. Yeh lo.

Kanya goes down and sits in an empty seat. The conductor also has long hair you know like Ranbir. The song Tumhe jo maine dekha…Tumhe jo maine chaaha………That song starts playing in the background. Kanya looks up at the conductor and thinks that he is Ranbir. She gets up and walks up to him.

Kanya- Ranbir.

Conductor- Kaun Ranbir memsahib? Hum conductor hain Jogru. Jogru Jhingral naam hain hamara.

Kanya- Oh! Im so sorry. I thought you were Ranbir Nanda. Mujhe maaf karo Jogru ji.

Conductor- Arre! Maafi de diya madam. Ab jaake seat mein baitt jao nahin toh seat chala jaayega.

Kanya- Haan ji. Sorry ha. Once again.

Kanya is really embarrassed about what happened. She can't understand why that happened. The bus comes to a halt outside Pizza Hut.

Conductor- Arre Ranbir ki bachchi! Nikal jao. Pijja Hut aagaya. Aapki stop.

Kanya- Haan. Shukriya Jogru ji. Sorry haa?

Kanya gets down from the bus and goes inside Pizza Hut. She sits at a table near the window. The waiter comes with a bottle of Bisleri water and a menu card.

Waiter- Madam what would you like to order?

Kanya- I will just have a look at the menu card and will then inform you.

Waiter- Okay Madam. Take your time.

Kanya smiles and the waiter goes to the next table to take an order. Just then a big car comes to a halt outside Pizza Hut. It is Ranbir's car. The scene shifts to Ranbir. He is inside the car speaking to his mother on the phone.

Ranbir- Mom what do I do now? My car has gotten punctured right in the middle of Linking road. Kya karoon mein?

Mallika- Linking road mein kahaan beta?

Ranbir- In front of Pizza Hut mom.

Mallika- Arre waa! Shaabash beta!

Ranbir- What?? Mom I think you have lost it!

Mallika- Nahin beta. Tu waha jaake khana kha sakte hain.

Ranbir- Mom? Me Ranbir Nanda eating in Pizza Hut?

Mallika- Pizza Hut ke pizza's bahut hi tasty hain beta.

Ranbir- Mom but.

Mallika- No buts! Go and have a pizza.

Ranbir- Okay mom.

He keeps the phone and goes inside. He is shocked to see that all the seats are taken. He is about to leave when he spots Kanya sitting alone at a table he goes over to her.

Ranbir- Hello Kanya!!!!!

Kanya- Mr.Nanda aap? Aap yahaan kya kar rahe ho?

Ranbir- Actually my car's vehicle got punctured and mom told me to eat here.

Kanya- Oh. Please sit down sir.

Ranbir(sitting down)- I've told you not to call me sir.

Kanya- Okay Ranbir.

Ranbir- Waise Kanya aaj bhi tum bahut khoobsurat lag rahi ho.

Kanya- What? Pyaar karte ho meri behan se or flirt kar rahe ho mujhse??

Ranbir- Kanya please understand. I don't love your sister. This is a contract marriage to please my mother.

Kanya- But.......but......she loves you.

Ranbir- I can't help that. Please.

Kanya- You'll have to love her. Ho jaayega. Don't worry.

Ranbir- Nahin Kanya. I can never love Pooja. I can never see her in any other image than that of a person working under me.

Kanya- But aap koshish to zaroor kar sakte ho. Pooja di actually loves you a lot.

Ranbir- Kanya please try to understand me. I'm not in love with Pooja and will never be.

Kanya- Agar yeh baat thi to why did you select Pooja di to be your wife for 6 months? So many girls are already crazy about you.

Ranbir- Are you?

Kanya- Are you crazy???? Never. You didn't answer my question Ranbir.

Ranbir- Coz I know her well and she works under me.

Kanya- Sir you'll have to give the relationship a try at least for Pooja di's sake.

Ranbir- No.

Kanya- For your mom's sake?

Ranbir- No.

Kanya- For my sake?

Ranbir-mmmmmmmm okay I'll try. But listen. I said try. There is no guarantee.

Kanya- Thank you.

Ranbir- No probs.

Kanya starts laughing. The food arrives and they start eating. Kanya when eating her pizza starts laughing to a joke Ranbir said and some cheese was there near her mouth.

Ranbir- There is some cheese near your mouth.

Kanya- Oops! Sorry! Arre! Where is it?

Ranbir- See, near your mouth.

Kanya- Where is it?

Ranbir- Okay I'll remove it for you.

Kanya- Thanx!!!

He removes the cheese for her and even after removing it they stare into each others eyes for like 10 mins lovingly. Then Ranbir's cell rings and he picks it up. While talking on the phone he still stares at Kanya's eyes.

The song Bakhuda Tumhi Ho from Kismat Konnection is playing in the background like Tum Se Hi plays in KIT.

Ranbir (onto the phone)- Yes Pooja what do you want?

Kanya- You don't speak to your fiance like that Ranbir.

Ranbir- Arre! What do you want?

Pooja(on the phone)- Sir.....I mean Ranbir my parents are saying that we should be going for a date.

Ranbir- I've no time for that!! And yes call me Sir not Ranbir.

Pooja- Where are you sir? I'll come and meet you?

Ranbir- I'm in Pizza Hut.

Pooja- I'll come there.

Ranbir- You don't have to come here.

Kanya- Use aane do na Ranbir.

Ranbir- Tum chup raho Kanya.

Pooja- Kanya? You are dining with her????

Ranbir- Yes, so what's your problem???

Pooja- Sir we are getting married. You can eat with Kanya but not with me.

Ranbir- Don't question me Pooja.

Kanya(grabbing the phone)- Pooja di actually I was eating here and Ranbir came and didn't find a place to sit so he sat here.

Pooja- Oh Kanya. But Kanya call him Sir not Ranbir.

Kanya- But he told me to call him Ranbir!!!

Pooja- Kya????

Kanya- Haan di! Yes.

Ranbir(grabbing the phone from Kanya)- Bye Pooja. Keep the phone.

Kanya- Why are you asking di to call you sir?

Ranbir- She is still working under me.

Kanya- But you told me to call you Ranbir.

Ranbir- You are different.

Kanya- Huh?

Ranbir- Nothing!! Well where do you go when you are bored?

Kanya- I never get bored. Yes, but in the early morning when I'm not able to sleep I go to Lover's Park!!

Ranbir- Oh!!

Kanya(looking at her watch)- Oh no!! I've to go for a movie!! I'm getting late. Okay Ranbir bye. Nice to meet you.

Ranbir- I'll drop you?

Kanya- No need. There is a theatre at walking distance from here.

Ranbir- No formality I'll drop you.

Kanya- Yeh formality nahin hain. I love walking!!

Ranbir- Okay go ahead. Bbye.

Kanya- Bbye Ranbir.

They shake their hands. Kanya rushes out and goes running down the lane. Ranbir just stares at her and thinks- What a beauty!!!!!

Pre-cap for part 7- This part is again a sort of date between Kanya and Ranbir. Kanya isn't able to sleep and goes to Lover's Park and is shocked to see Ranbir there!!! Well this part also promises some sweet moments between Ran-Kan.

Part: 7 At Lover's Park

It is early in the morning at 5:30 am approx. Kanya is up so early coz she isn't able to sleep. She decides to go for a walk in Lover's Park. She goes into the bathroom washes her face and brushes her teeth. Then she changes into her favourite track suit and goes down to tell her parents about her plans to go to the park. The place is the hall of Kanya's house.

Kanya- Good Morning Papa! Good Morning Mama!

Anand- Good morning Kanya beta.

Pammi- Good morning puttar. Kahaan ja rahe ho tum?

Kanya- Mama mujhe na actually neend nahin aa rahi isliye mein Lover's Park mein thoda jogging karne jaa rahi hoon.

Anand- Jao beta.

Kanya- Bbye guys!!!

Saying so Kanya goes out of her house. Then she starts jogging along towards Lover's Park. While jogging she thinks about all her encounters with Ranbir-

Kanya- Na jaane kyun mein Ranbir Nanda ke baare mein soch rahin hoon. Woh meri Pooja di ki hone waala pati hain. Woh ek acha insaan toh hain par thoda zyaada hi arrogant hain. Mujhe who sweet toh lagta hain lekin who di se bahut rude hain. Woh mere saath to bahut sweet aur humorous hain par di ke saath to bahut hi strict aur rude. Unhone mujhe use Ranbir bulane ko kaha par di to use sirf sir hi bula sakte hain. Na jaane kyun? Arre! Lover's Park aa gaya.

She goes inside Lover's Park and starts running.

Scene shifts to Ranbir's house

Ranbir is tossing and turning in his bed. He isn't able to sleep. He finally decides to sit up. He smiles when he thinks of the dream that he dreamt of last night. The dream went as follows-

It was Ranbir's wedding. He was dressed in a red sherwani. He is waiting for his bride to come. He is really frustrated to get married and has a very scowling and angry and disgusted look on his face. Then his bride dressed in a maroon lehnga comes and sits beside him. His mother asks him to open the veil of his bride. He removes the veil and lo behold!!! He sees Kanya dressed up as his bride instead of Pooja. The disgust, anger and scowl on his face is replaced by a cute smile. He is very happy and takes the mangalsootr to tie it around Kanya's neck when he wakes up!!!!

Ranbir wonders what the meaning of his strange dream was. He decides to ask his elder cousin brother Aditya to interpret his dream.

Ranbir- Mein jaake Aditya Bhaiyya se poochoongi ki mera dream ka matlab kya hain.

Saying so Ranbir goes to his brother's room and wakes him up.

Ranbir- Aditya bhaiyya uttho!! Please wake up!!!!!

Aditya- What is it Ranbir? Why are you waking me up at this hour of the night?

Ranbir- Night nahin hain. It is 5:30 in the morning.

Aditya- So what go away!! I want to catch some sleep.

Ranbir- I've a problem.

Aditya- Come to me later.

Ranbir- Bhaiyya suno to sahi. I won't let you sleep if you don't listen to me.

Aditya- Okay baba tell me what happened.

Ranbir narrates his dream to Aditya. Ranbir has this really cute confused sort of expression on his face. After telling his tale Aditya looks at Ranbir and smiles sheepishly.

Ranbir- Why are you smiling? What is so funny?

Aditya- Nothing. I can't believe you Ranbir Nanda had such a dream.

Ranbir- Why?

Aditya- Do you know the meaning of this dream?

Ranbir- What is it?

Aditya- That you are in love.

Ranbir- Whatttt?????

Aditya- Yes Ranbir. You are in love with Pooja's younger sister Kanya.

Ranbir- C'mon bhaiyya Ranbir Nanda can never fall in love.

Aditya- But you have this time Ranbir. You have fallen in love with Kanya!!!

Ranbir- But it is impossible.

Aditya- Nothing is impossible Ranbir.

Ranbir- I......

Aditya- I understood this since the day of your engagement when you kept on speaking about only Kanya. You were like Kanya looks like the moon, Kanya has a beautiful voice. And even after your lunch with her at Pizza Hut you were only raving and ranting about Kanya.

Ranbir- But bhaiyya is she in love with me?

Aditya- That I don't know. She will try her best not to fall for you coz as you said Pooja loves you.

Ranbir- I guess you are right bhaiyya. I guess I'm in love with Kanya Godbole.

Aditya- Good!!!

Ranbir- I want to tell her that I love her. Right now itself!

Aditya- She must be sleeping dear!!

Ranbir- No. She told me she often goes to Lover's Park early in the morning. If I'm lucky I might catch her there. Bye bhaiyya. Wish me best of luck!!!!

Aditya- All the best Ranbir!!!

Ranbir runs down the stairs, grabs the car key and jumps into the car. He starts driving along and he thinks about what he should give to Kanya. All along the drive his mind is occupied with Kanya and only Kanya. Finally he arrives at Lover's Park.

Kanya- Wow!! Lover's Park is the most beautiful place in the world!!

Ranbir- Where is Kanya?

Kanya- Why do I feel like Ranbir is here?

Ranbir- Arre! Yeh Kanya kahaan hain?

Kanya- What has happened to me?

Ranbir- What is this? Kanya did you get this day only to not come to Lover's Park?

Kanya- Whatever. I may as well get going.

Ranbir (seeing her walk towards the entrance)- Kanya????

Kanya- Ranbir?? What are you doing here?

Ranbir- Actually......woh baath yeh hain ki.....

Kanya- Bolo Ranbir. Baath kya hain? Tum itni tensed you lag rahe ho?

Ranbir- Actually (She is so beautiful.....so pure and calm like the moon.)

Kanya- Kuchh kahaan?

Ranbir- Actually Kanya.....

Kanya- Ranbir tum actually se bad hi nahin rahe ho. I'm no robot. I cant read your mind.

Ranbir- Kanya par I want to tell you.

Kanya- Then why don't you?

Ranbir- I dunno what has happened!!! Once I saw you I forgot everything that I was thinking about.

Kanya- Ranbir please don't waste my time huh. I've got to go home. Why don't you drop in home? Pooja di will be extremely happy to see you.

Ranbir- No I wont come.

Kanya- But Ranbir I'm sure you want to tell her something.....You are just using me as a medium to get through her.

Ranbir- But I wanted to tell you something.

Kanya- And you aren't saying anything.

Ranbir- Forget it. Bbye. See you later.

Kanya- Okay bye.

KABOOM!!!!!!

Kanya goes running to Ranbir and leaps into his hands.

Kanya- What is that?

Ranbir- I dunno Kanya.

Kanya- I'm sorry.

Ranbir- My pleasure!!!!

Kanya- Kya????

Ranbir- See you later Kanya.

Kanya- Bye.

They both turn otherwise ans go away. Ranbir into his car and Kanya starts walking.
