What inspired you to write EGK?
What's your most favorite scene from the FF?

Thanks madiha!

I was requested long back by jenny to write about cousin marriages. I was inspired to write one with all south Indian traditions by Pallavi...with her bhalobhasha... bengali story.

Many fav scenes through out the ff..but most loved one and close to heart is "kripa's fear for earth worms and millipedes." I still get goosebumps when I imagine them.😡😆 too scary espelly when it rains in the villages...uuuuffff. my grandmother used to remove the whole bunch with her hand and make path for me😆 but I was still scared to step there😆

Even in US I see them and get nightmares😆 I think we have some 'last birth's relationship"😆

Congratulations Vallanki... 👏 👏 👏

I know ur busy with packing and stuff but quick question:

Why did Kripa's family and husband not support her decision to work away from home? May be if they had, she would not have been so adamant and neglected her poor kid in that process 😕 In other words, why does society always want the woman to sacrifice her career and aspirations?

Thanks sangeeta!

First of all, Kripa's career was not the main source of bread in the family. Angad and his family wanted a girl who can stay with them. There were no talks about her career from the beginning and kripa was taken as per their wishes.

Angad knew her interest in music and he himself liked music and her singing, so he wanted to build a studio exclusively for herself. But as a city grown kripa wanted to pursue her career in Mumbai than living in a village. She should think about her ambition before marrying Angad, who was more keen on his family and property care.

Now your second question in this thread....Women are meant to be more patient and understanding from ancient days. Men are meant to be bread winners in the family. Men cannot give birth to children and hence never dealt with their brought them up directly. So, men expect women to take up the responsibility of taking care of family personal needs instead of worrying about career and earnings.

When Kripa met her son after few months of seperation.

Are you planning to write any other storys with detailed traditions?

I do have a thought of showing some old traditions and customs which lot of young generation never came through it. I would work on it in my vacation and come with a new ff after I come back.

If this story is your favourite then why?

First reason would be the chance of presentation of cousin marriages which still exist in our culture and new to others.

Personally who do you think was right when kripa started working in mumbai?

Hmmm, None. Every relationship set some expectations and responsibilities. Leaving family to pursue her own career is not right unless it is the only source of earnings.

Was angad right to stop her form working?

As a husband he is right since she never discussed about her career and ambitions with him before. They never had any understandings before. And he already cautioned her about it.

have a nice holiday vallanki di 😊

ThanQ Faiza!
