Part 14
Recap-Ranbir shows his playful side. The family have a great time and soak in the sun. Kanya overhears Chunnu and Archie about the bet. Kanya is drowning.
Archie goes off looking for Kanya knowing full well she's upset leaving Chunnu behind. She spots Kanya and doesn't know what to do. She screams for help. Calling Ranbir's name over and over as Ranbir wasn't far off. What is she supposed to do? Go after Kanya or leave her be and let nature take it's course. Without thinking she just dived in. She swam towards Kanya but the current was quite strong and she was getting tired. Archie couldn't help but blame herself. All she wanted was for Kanya to take her blindfold off and see what kind of guy Chunnu is. Ranbir didn't deserve to play second to anyone. Not if Archie had something to do with it. Archie finally made it to Kanya and was swimming her way to shore but couldn't quite manage. She felt weak and out of breath. Archie somehow managed to keep Kanya's head above the water.
Luckily help was on its way. Super Ranbir was on his way to the rescue. Ranbir had heard Archie calling him but disappeared as soon as he reached the location where Archie and Kanya were he swam in Baywatch mode. He could see the two Kanya and Archie together. Both looked as if they were out of it. So he speed dived all the way to them. He didn't have time to think of anything else but to get there. Ranbir held onto Kanya and Archie and just about managed to swim back. Ranbir was exhausted. Carrying two women was harder than he thought. Ranbir looked at Kanya. She was pale. He checked for her breathing and heartbeat. Nothing so he put her straight upwards did 15 compressions and one kiss of life and repeated the process 3 times.
R-Open your eyes. Kanya come on please. Look at me. Say something. Kuchh be. Ghali do maro but say something.
Kanya opened her eyes on cue. Kanya coughed up water and was fine. Ranbir looked at Archie. Her pulse was weak but she would be fine. He pumped water out and made sure she was warm and held his arm round her.
R-Archie are you ok?
He kept looking at Archie. The woman just amazed him. Without thinking about herself she went in even in her condition. She deserved so much more. Archie nodded but didn't have much energy left and fainted. Kanya again in the water. What was up with this girl?
Kanya was upset. Ranbir was supposed to be comforting her not the enemy. Why does he not see me? What is it about Archie is it that she showers Ranbir with affection that he cares so nuch for her. Why can't he look at me that way? Ranbir looked at Kanya sternly.
R-What is it with you and water? Marne ki itna jaldi hai kya? What if next time i wasn't here to save you. You have a fear of water stay away from it. Poor Archie tried to save you thinking nobody else is there. Look at the both of you. I swear you will be the death of me. Mujhpe kya beet rahi thi. Do you have any idea?If anything happened to you? Archie? You guys are important people in my life. What would i have told your parents.
K-Ranbir. I'm sorry. I was upset Chunnu and Archie were talking about a bet. I couldn't handle it and the water was giving me piece. I wasn't looking i swear. I would never endanger anyone's life. You know that.
R-Dekho isse. She wasn't well and now bechari kaap rahi hain. Kanya be sensible. You have your sister Pooja and Shanta the parrot share it with them like you have in the past. Apna kayal rakho because nobody else will. I should know but Archie and Aditya bhai have been my rock.
K-Ranbir. You're not angry are you? Please don't be angry.
R-Kanya look we need to get you dry and Archie needs warming up. Theres some clothes in the mobile. Don't argue against one another. Promise me. She can't talk right now but please be careful with what you say today.
They walked their way there with Ranbir carrying Archita. He put Archie on one of the seats and sat by her. Kanya felt really bad. At this minute she didn't care that Ranbir was tending to Archie but she wanted his hands off of Archie and on her. He looked really concerned for Archie but she couldn't help fight that pang of jealousy that was eating at her. Ranbir found a bottle of water and gave a little bit to Archie and she got up. Ranbir insisted that they both stay there while he got Pooja and his nieces Eva and Ira to care for them.
Archita looked at Kanya with a wry smile. Kanya was thinking through everything in her head. Why was Archie like this? In 2 minds. She couldn't tell what would be next on Archies agenda.
K-Why did you come after me? You would have won Ranbir like that. Me out the way.
A-Then it would be no fun in taking Ranbir off of you Kanya. Have you not learnt anything. All the fun is in showing you that you are no match for me. I don't need you out the way but in the way. Ranbir is already thinking that you are one weak girl. Thats what it boils down to. You are just an immature girl that is taking too long to decide what you want. While you do that he is becoming mine. Today i will make him mine. Already i have his trust, and love that is one thing you can never have and why because your to scared. Chicken to admit your feelings to him. If he doesn't know then your fighting a losing battle already. I am about to confess my love to him bang on midnight.
K-Why risk your life? Are you that sick in the head that you are willing to risk your life for this? Archie love is not a game. Who will win? Who will lose? Either way somebody suffers. I will not allow you to take Ranbir from me. I know he loves me. He just needs to know that i do too and not hide his feelings.
A-Love is a game. Trust me. If theres winning or losing it is a game. A gamble. It's worked a treat so far. I didn't come all the way from LONDON for a cheapskate like you to run away with my prize. That i can guarantee you. As for Ranbir he is worth risking my life for all the money and life in the world. I can stoop so low. I haven't even scratched the surface yet.
K-I accept this duel but i will not lose. Ranbir will be mine and you can't do anything about it. Thanks for trying to save my life. I can return the favour by taking what is rightfully mine. This is no sick bet like Chunnu did with Ranbir. Keep your eye on the prize because he won't be with you for long.
A-Ultimately there can only be one winner and i am not used to losing let the game commence.
Pooja, Eva and Ira came in to the mobile and you can cut the atmosphere with a knife. Pooja hugged her baby sister and asked if she was ok. Ira and Eva huddled round Archie after they gave Kanya a hug.
E-Kanya chachi you have to be really careful. We need to keep you away from water at all expense now. Its true what the say the things that scare you the most are what hurts you the most.
I-Yes Chachi. You were lucky Archita and Chachu were there to rescue you. I bet you're disappointed that he didn't carry you in his arms.
A-Kanya be very careful next time. As there will be no second chances. You can't keep on beating death. (Smiles at Kanya)
K-I will keep that in mind.
E-Archie you're a real dynamite. What if something happened to you. Chachu was coming. Why did you get in? With you not 100% it was stupid. You were both lucky Chachu got to you in time.
A-I knew what i was doing. It's just not good enough. Girls you know you would have done the same.
Eva and Ira gave Kanya and Archita something warm to drink and helped them get ready. Malika and co were unaware of what happened not to upset the mood. Both Kanya and Archie insisted they stay till night falls. As the girls wanted to see the stars. Malika knew this is what everyone needed but Pammi and Anand, Shanta, went home in the mobile. The driver dropped them off and came back with supplies.
Ranbir was in two minds. Kanya had definitely shaken him. Poor Archie so selfless. Despite not getting on with Kanya she tried to save her at her own risk. What on earth? I wish i could love her like she loves me but i can't change my feelings for Kanya. It won't go. What was he to do. Archie deserved love more than anyone but she was still hung up on him. With Kanya not helping matters. He still loved Kanya and this episode reconfirmed what he already knew he still loved her. But for Archie he will keep Kanya out of his mind and be with her.
