Part 12

Recap-Ranbir and Archita have a heart to heart and decide not to overthink their one night stand. Pooja, Shanta arrive at the Nandas and get working on a way to bring Kanya and Ranbir close and to rid of Archita. Kanya apologizes to Ranbir for her behaviour.

Ranbir is at work not being able to forget Kanya's split personality. What is she up to. She's acting very strange and with Shanta and Pooja there were no guarantees what those three were cooking up. How he missed Kanya but she never misses him. He could tell by the way she acted around him. Now she was even weirder than ever. Ranbir was buried in paperwork and was about to finish for the day and head home with Ayaan. Ranbir really felt for Ayaan but at the same time thought at least he didn't have a worse fate than hin at least Shanaya loved him even though he didn't. Their life mirrored. Ayaan didn't love Shanaya bt Shanaya loved him. Ranbir still had feelings for Kanya but she had nothing but hatred.

R-Ayaan aaj tu Shanaya ko tand mat karna waise bhi bechari roz roz rohti rehti hain.

Ayaan-You know chacu she really makes me want to strangle her. It feels like she's the husband and i'm the wife. Har waqt damkiya mere maa se keh doongi tum mera kayal nahin rakte. Had enough.

R-Well at least Kanya roz tuje tane nahin marti. Mind you she has gone quite mellow but Shanta tai ki saath mera dulai zaroor karegi and i'll be ready for them.

Ayaan-We are a pair. Our wives totally rule our lives and make it miserable.

R-Tu shukar kart era mom tujhe itna tang nahin karte.
My mom bhi don ki tara damkiya deti hain meri credit careds freeze karlegi aggar mein yeh na karo woh na karu. I'm a grown man.

They both laugh at how their lives are shaping out. Totally not the way they'd planned but the opposite. The drive home with Sidharth joining them and Aditya bhai who for some reason was looking pleased with himself.

Back at the Nanda Mansion all was not well with the four ladies. Kanya was too busy giving Archie dirty looks and Pooja just didn't like this side of Kanya. Her sister was not the type to go ape over just anybody. Looks like Ranbir has had more of an effect. Archie goes to the kitchen to check how the food is doing.

S-Woh pate kapra kitchen mein? Meine to socha woh Rewa aur is ghar ki doosre auroto ke tara woh bhi orders deti hain Kanya tu asie kuch karna. Waise bhi ghende kuch khana wana bana nahin saktha. Par use dekh woh Ranbir keliye kuch banarahi hain.

P-Tum yaha raho mein jake pata laga thi hoon waha kya pakrahi hain.

K-D ap waha mat jaye. Uski waije mein raat pe soh nahin sakhti. Bhri bhuri kayal aati hain.

Pooja goes in the kitchen to see what is being made. She sees everything is in control. Archie had made parathas with ghee for Big D and Malika. For the youngsters she had the cooks cut the salads and made the dressing herself and left it to one side. Forthe rest of the family she made Chicken, aloo gobi, korma dishes. Everything was done.

P-I can't believe this. Yeh sab tumne ki?

A-Ha. Rambo loves all these dishes but his favourite is the kulfi. My mother used to make it back in London and Ranbir couldn't get enough of it.

P-Why are you doiung all this. Whats the purpose?

A-I'm a guest in this house but i need to pull my weight and wanted to do something special for Ranbir. Poor guy he's had a tough time. You guys have been totally merciless and the symptoms on him are disastrous. Anyway. This should cheer him up and remind him of the old times.

Pooja felt bad and knew there was truth in what Archita said. Her siblings along with her, Shanta and Chunnu were very ruthless with Ranbir and she could see he wasn't the same playful Ranbir but the old Ranbir was hanging in the surface. She had to do something and stop Archie from getting in the good books. Pooja left to join Shanta and Kanya.

S-Us desi pate kapre kya pakati hain?

P-Woh Ranbir ke liye aur sare pariwar ke liye khana bana rahi hain. Plus she knows what she's doing. I thought she'd be a spoilt girl but she sure knows her thing. She really knows Ranbir in and out.

K-Maine aaj tak Ranbir keliye kuch nahin ki. I'll be damned if i let her do this.

S-Mein jaanti hoon sab ko zeher kila ke woh us ghade ko apnana chahti hain

P-Shantu mazaak mat karo. Kuch karo.

S-Kanya. Mein kuch karti hoon.

Shanta goes in the kitchen and Archie goes out for a rest. Shanta gets chilli powder from the cupboard and puts it in all the dishes and stirs them really well. She gives her devilish grin and escapes. Archita spots what Shanta did and transfers her dishes on to plates and serves up. Just then Ranbir comes in and smiles at Archie and gives her a hug. With Pooja, Shanta and Kanya looking on.

R-I can tell you've been busy. Kya kiya tumne?

A-I cooked for you guys as a thank you. You know me. I don't like putting you guys out.

R-Please tell me tum ne kufi banaya mere liye.

A-Yes. Just the way you like it.

R-Thank you. Your mum used to make the best kulfis and now you. I could eat it up now.

A-No. Gives him a slap on his hand. Pehle haat mu doke ao aur khana kalo.

Kanya rolls her eyes. Archie notices this and gives her a smile.

A-Tum bhi kuch kiya karo Rambo ke liye like good wives do. Or do you not love him.

K-What i do or don't tumse kya?

They all sit down and start eating the meal apart from Kanya, Shanta and Pooja as they knew what was in the food but everyone eats the food without making any dramas.

R-This is gorgeous Archie. Maybe we should hire you as our cook.

A-If you want i'll accept.

R-You flirt.

M-This is really good beta.

Pooja and Shanta look surprised no wonder Kanya is so jealous. They start eating their meal as does Kanya and and feel the heat. Archie looks at them and just smiled. Kanya's face went all red as did Pooja and Shanta. They go for their water and start drinking it. They didn't make a fuss as they knew that Shanta would get in trouble and then Ranbir would start hating and cussing them all.

M-Kanya beti kya huwa. Khana achcha nahin kya?

K-Ji. Mom. Mujhe i mean book nahin hain.

Ranbir goes to Kanya. Seeing her face go red and her panting. He looks at Kanya who is staring at her food and Pooja. He feels her head. Then he tries her food. Yeh to bohut spicy hain. Wow itna mirchi. Archie must have done this but then again he didn't blame her as his friend he knew she wanted the best for him but that was not on.

K-It's not spicy really Ranbir.

A-Its not Kanya Ranbir aur maine kuch nahin ki. Yaha ao mein tumhe kush batana chahti hoo.

Ranbir and Archie whisper to each other and just glares at Shanta and looks at Kanya with disappointment. He should have known better. Shanta up to her old tricks. Archie told him it's not Kanya's fault but Shanta. Shanta just looks guity as sin and looks away from Ranbir.

R-Dekha. This is my friend she didn't once shift the blame on you. She told me it's Shanta and that Archie knew she did something so she'd already hid our food and tasted a little and knew she added chilli. What else can i expect from Shanta but this. You guys leave Archie alone or mujhse bhura koi nahin hoga.

K-Ranbir......

Archie goes in and brings the kulfi out. Everybody tries it and are lest wanting more.

A-Kanya it's best tum aur tumhara gang kuch na kare because outcome yahi hoga. You will look the bad guy in this not me. Here try something sweet. It doesn't have poison in it or anything bad. Apna medicine chak ke andaaz kar chuki hogi ke meri saath panga i don't take lightly. Ranbir ko aggar pana chahti ho tho be natural and beat me at my own game. Usse dikow ke woh tumhare liye kitna maina rakhta hain. How special he is. He just wants to be loved. By the way you just have 4 days left. Enjoy the kulfi.

Kanya is just left with her mouth open. Archie actually giving her advice. Why is she helping me? Probably thinks she's won but the war has only just started its not over. Damn this kulfi was great. Oh how i hate you but Ranbir ko pane keliye i will have to start being myself. Show him myself but how?

Part 13

Recap-Kanya and Pooja plan a picnic.

The day of the picnic finally arrives after 2 weeks as it took that long for everyone to reschedule their busy workload. It was two weeks of hell for Kanya seeing Ranbir with Archie was killing her inside. She was no longer the cheery girl that thrived on making Ranbir's life a misery. Ranbir tried to get his way out of the picnic as did the rest of the Nanda's. Malika had finally put her foot down and demanded some family time or they would all have to pay by their bank balance being frozen. Archita was feeling her mood swings but felt sorry for Kanya. She knew the only way Kanya would really genuinely accept her love is if she went through some hard grind and fight for Ranbir. At the same time Archie felt a sadness that Ranbir would never be hers as he was never hers to begin with. Archie gave Kanya an extention to her 7 days as she felt Kanya was in pain. She'd vowed that Archie would do something major on the picnic with Ranbir that would shock the whole family. This time there were no backing out or extensions. Nothing. Ranbir would be Archie's forever which made Kanya on edge.

Everything was going in full swing. Kanya had taken in Archies advice and decided to have all of Ranbir's favourite dishes in the picnic hamper and a special treat. The picnic was based near a local beachside and had beautiful weather to compliment the scenery. Kanya wore Ranbir's favourite colour White. She just hoped Ranbir would notice. Chunnu was making his way with the Godboles she just wished their plan didn't backfire like everything else did. Pooja made sure that although it was a family outing that there were plenty of chances for romance.

Ranbir and his brothers didn't want to go to the Picnic. He knew Chunnu would be there. Every time he saw the smug luck on his face he wanted to smash it in against a brick wall. How could Pooja do this to him after he confessed his love if anything she was adamant that Kanya and his marriage would be null and void. Aditya bhaiya wasn't helping matters at all if anything he was telling Ranbir to move on with his life with Archie. But Archie deserved someone that would love her. She didn't deserve to be second best to anyone. Ranbir also knew she loved him and Ranbir loved her back but it wasn't the sort of love that set Ranbir on fire. He loved her more like a friend and for the strong person she was. Ranbir saw Kanya and saw beauty in its simplest form. She looked so hot in her White Kuta that he bought her as a present when he first fell for her but it was time to go. Kanya just headed straight out looking pleased with herself.

Everyone goes on the Nanda mobile that was used only for the whole family. Everyone had their own seating arrangements but Kanya chose to sit near Chunnu hoping that Ranbir would get insanely jealous. Big D demanded she sit with Ranbir but Kanya was insistent on sitting with her friend. As there was on seat missing Archie sat on Ranbir (just like in the show Kanya did.) Ranbir didn't have time to be jealous. He was too busy looking at Archies pale face. She didn't look too good and thought it was best if she stayed behind Archie wanted to go with the whole family to the picnic.

R-Look Archie if you feel any worse tell me yeah. I will move away and throw you off this bus. Joke.

A-You joker. I'm ok believe me. It's probably nothing. Don't be so worried. You should be thinking about Kanya over there next to Chunnu.

R-Don't spoil my mood. She wants to marry the American monkey she can do what she likes. You're my priority right now.

Ranbir stroked Archie's hair and made sure she was comfortable. He opened some windows and kept on pestering her every 5 minutes how she was. Malika looked at her son. He truely had changed. He actually cared for people. Granted it wasn't Kanya but he made sure that Archie was ok. Kanya was hating every minute of the ride. She should have been sitting next to Ranbir and not Archie. It should be her hair he is stroking. They were awfully close. Damn this plan.

They had arrived at their destination and Archita ran straight out of the vehicle and just threw up. Ranbir rushed out to support her head. Kanya just looked on. How could Ranbir not once look her way. She thought he'd be floored by what she was wearing but Pooja explained that he's side tracked with madam over there. Chunnu was concerned for Archir as were the rest of the family but Archie explained that she was fit as a fiddle.

Shlok, Arth Eva, Ira went straight out and started playing on the beach. Chasing each other and egging the other on. Looked like a picture perfect family. Shanya made Ayaan on and he had to catch all of them. Harpal joined in the fun as did Simran. They kids were having a blast and thourought took in the sun. Rewa just sunbathed while Sidharth applied sun cream. Astha was too busy making Aditya see that he had to be close to Ranbir to get any portion of his property otherwise he'll give it all to Kanya. Rewa did the same with her husband. Malika, Big D, Pammi, Anand and Shanta just sat round and spoke to one another each praising the other for Ranbirs changes. Pammi and Malika bonded so well. Pammi told Malika she'd raised a fine man.

Ranbir stayed close to Archita. Kanya was with Chunnu but giving Archita the evil eye. What was it with that woman and Ranbir. Ranbir looked at Kanya and saw Chunnu holding her nad. He tightly sqeezed Architas hand accidently not realising what he was doing. Archie let out a scream. Ranbir apologized. Pooja came by and invited both Archie and Ranbir to join in the fun. Kanya was looking all hopeful.

R-I can't come Archie ka tabiath. Uske saath mujhe rehna hain. Waise bhi it's not like anyone is missing me.

A-Jao. Ranbir. For me. I'm not in the mood but i'd love to see you have fun. Dosti kis kasam jao.

Chunnu came over and challenged Ranbir.-Tum ghedaro ke tara ladkiyon ke beech kyun. Humare saath khelo. Dekhte hain kismet hain dum. You still haven't managed the first challenge i set you. Kissing Kanya. You call yourself a man. I guess it's up to me.

R-Do as you please i don't have time for this.

A-Chunnu. You are shameless and here i thought you wanted me. Oh well i guess it's you're loss.

R-Archie tum bhi uske saath!

A-Joke. Look Ranbir you really have to decide what you want. I know you don't love me but i love you. I know you love Kanya but you need to show her. She's not a mind reader. No good telling her sister Pooja. Jao na aur wapas ao. Show Chunnu who the real man is.

Chunnu goes and plays with Kanya and they throw water on each other. Ranbir comes by and almost leaves the two when he gets wet by Archie from behind. Kanya gets really angry and gets a bucket of water and chucks it at Ranbir. Ranbir lets Archie go with a warning.

R-Archie you're not well. This is why i am letting you go. Kanya you will pay.

K-Come on then. I dare you.

Ranbir for one let his guard down and chase Kanya up and down the beach. Ranbir bumped into Ayaan who was panting so much he looke like he was about to pass out.

R-Are you ok?

Ayaan.-Chachu us Shanaya mera jaan le kehi rahegi. Main mera zindagi main itna nahin bhagi jitna aaj bhagraha hoon.

R-Pyar mein sab kuch karna parta hain. Biwi ko khush karne keliye zulm sehna parta hain. Mujhe dekh. Main tujhe khush dikha hoon kya. Jabse shaadi ki hain lagta hain pasi ki saza mili hain. Hum dono ki kismet main yahi likha hain. At least Shanaya tujhse pyaar karthi hain meri wali ko dekh mujhe itna rula thi hain shayad koi mard hi itna rohne ki shakti hain. I feel like i am the helpless woman in an unloved marriage.

Ayaan just looked on confused. Ranbir got another dose of Kanya wetting him and this time Kanya couldn't escape anywhere as she was too busy staring at Ranbir's shirt clinging on to his body. Every muscle was outlined and she couldn't keep her eyes away. Ranbir took this opportunity and returned the favour this time both were so lost into eachother they couldn't hear the oldies calling them for dinner. Aditya bhaiya came running by to relay the messge. He clicked his fingers and had a big smile.

Aditya-Food is set out come on. (Walks away)

K-Ranbir. Tume kuch badla badla nahin lag raha hain?

R-A little. Aaj tum Chunnu ke saath itna chipak nahi rahe the.

K-Come on Ranbir. He's just a friend. Tumhare Archie ke tara nahin jo tumhe pane ki koi had thak ja sakhti hain.

R-Kanya stop it. We were having fun. I'm not planning on marrying her like you are with Chunnu.

K-I changed my mind. I don't see Chunnu in a romantic way Ranbir. I never did. I jist sait that to p—s you off.

R-I love Archie Kanya. She's my dear friend but not as anything else. Archie understands this and despite that she is my champion and fights for me. Only me. Nobody has ever done that.

They both go to eat and look at each other reflecting on what they said to each other. Chunnu sat bedside Archie feeling her head. Kanya wasn't one bit bothered as long as Ranbir wasn't with her. Kanya overheard the conversation between Archie and Chunnu about the bet of Ranbir kissing Kanya and how he failed numerous times. Archie looked at Kanya and smiled on purpose knowing full well that Kanya was eavesdropping.

A-Chunnu. You are too mean. I can't belive tumne aisi ghatiya shart lagaoge. Kanya ko meine sirf itna kaha ke mein uski pati ko chinungi. That is what i will do.

C-I know Ranbir will never be able to do it. He's not man enough to do it.

A-Trust me Ranbir is all man. He's a great kisser and so passionate. Shame Kanya is missing out on all this. She is too high strung to know what it fels like to be held by Ranbir in the most intimate way ever.

C-Did you and Ranbir?

A-That's for me to know! A lady never reveals her conquests. We don't brag. Kanya will definitely lose this round. Ranbir will never be hers. She doesn't have the siren in her to take Ranbir.Besides Ranbir tried and failed because he knows Kanya is just a little girl. He needs a woman. Why do you think he's given up on her. Their marriage is so weak that anytime now they will break apart. Ranbir is already looking for somebody new.

C-You do! You are really forward.

Kanya can't take anymore of this and runs to the beach. She eats nothing and looks at the waves. Chunnu her best friend had betrayed her with this sick prank. No wonder he was all over me back then and i thought he was sick Chunnu is the sick one. I can't let Archie take him away. Kanya just looks on. Not knowing what to do. Kanya seems drawn in by the waves and keeps going further and further really upset. Suddenly a she realizes she's in too deep and can't swim and screams out for help. Nobody comes.
