Part 11
In the hotel room Ranbir awakens with the killer hangover and the shock of his life in bed with Archie. He remembered the events from the nightclub to the bedroom but couldn't remember everything that was said. He just looked on like it was all a bad dream. Archie also woke up witha smile on her face as if the cat got the cream. She had succeeded in her own mission now she had to wait a month or two to see if she achieved her goal. They both put their clothes on and got dressed. Ranbir wasn't feeling too good about himself. But kept on trying to make himself feel better by thinking that he hadn't cheated on anyone as you can't cheat on something that you never had but in his heart he was blaming himself and hating himself. It wasn't Archies fault but his own for being to weak. Ranbir thought it was him that probably caused all this.
R-Archie. I'm sorry about all this not sure how we got to where we did but this shouldn't have happened. It just spoils our friendship.
A-Look Ranbir i'm a big girl. Don't worry about our friendship its still strong as ever. Things like this happen all the time when alcohol is involved and i won't go blaming you as it was my own fault for getting you drunk and kissing you and also sleeping with you. Don't blame yourself. Plus don't worry nobody will be the wiser. We'll keep this between us yeah.
R-At least i don't need to worry about world war 3 between us i have enough of that at home. (Has a nervous laughter)I feel really bad. I took advantage of you and that's not my style. I couldn't take it if my best friend were to get hurt just because of me. I'm married and i have just done the worst thing a person can ever do.
A-Ranbir stop this. Self blame does not suit you. If anyone took advantage it's me ok. I wanted last night to happen. It was my idea. I love you dammit and you know that. But i will never get in the way of your happiness. I know you better than you think you would never take advantage and stop trying to apologize. Last night happened and we just move on. We are first friends and that is what counts. You're a great man Ranbir Nanda and don't let anyone tell you otherwise now don't think of what we did it's not like we've never had one night stands. I am not your wife that you need to give explanations to or nor do i enjoy seeing my friend in pain. You needed to forget and i was there and i don't regret it. I'd do it again if i had to for you now stop being dramatic and just smile.
R-I know now. I can't believe you are taking this lightly but if you're ok with this then i guess i'm fine by it. But i am not going to go drinking again who knows what will happen. Archie i'm happy tum mere dost ho. I don't know what i'd do if i lost you. Is waqt i've never felt so alone. I'm sorry that i can't love you back. I know what you are going through when the other person that you love doesn't love you back. (Holding Archie)
A-As long as i'm here never deem yourself alone. You have me. I'm not asking for anything in return. You can't help who you fall for but you can help what you do with your life and make the best of it. I'm sorry for taking advantage of you. Plus i've noticed your confidence has gone down. Your Ranbir Nanda the business tycoon and don't forget that. Nobody makes you feel inferior. It takes a great person to change his ways of living to suit others but you are not a pushover and nor are you soft. Come on enough of this serious talk i need fresh air and so do you? Now smile and bring on that mad family of yours. We are going to need all the energy and strength to face them.
R-We are a right pair. I'm glad i have you. My best friend. I'll remember not to forget my identity. I guess trying to please everyone i forgot my astitva. My own personality. What would i have done without you? (They both give each other a hug and leave.)
At the Nanda Mansion Kanya spends another sleepless night fearing the worst. She knew that Archie would go through any lengths to get Ranbir. Pooja filled her in with what happened. Shanta was still a little miffed that Kanya was willing to fight for Ranbir of all people why did Kanya fall for Ranbir? Jaanwar jaise shakal ek dum cartoon. She'd have given Ranbir a piece of her mind but Kanya made her promise that they would help get rid of Archie and reunite Kanya with Ranbir.
Ranbir and Archie arrive at the Mansion not bothering how they looked like when they got in. The family was used to seeing them arm in arm. Kanya seeing this was totally ballistic. She was only just getting used to seeing Ranbir with females but this close never. Shanta came down and was gob smacked with the view she had. Finally she understood why Kanya was so worried. This girl looked in her mid 30s but was dressing up in patte capre just like Rewa. I guess this family has the money to afford clothes but chose to walk around like shameless people. In this very morning wearing next to nothing.
S-Kyun re gendhe tere ghar mein itne patte kapre hain. Is ko to koi bar mein hona chahiye jaha pe sare ladke uspar paisa pekhte hain jaise khote mein karte hain.
R-I see tumhara poonch yah ape ponch hi gayi mere neend haram karne keliye. Jaise tum kam nahi te. Welcome Shanta. Dekhte hain tum kya pate (Cards) pekhte ho. Is bar ye mera ghar hain. Or rules bhi mera. Us waqt mein bilkul akela tha is bar mere chahne wale hain yaha.
K-Shanta tai leave him. I'm not in the mood for a fight. (Thinks i'm in the mood for murder aur woh be us Archie ki)
R-Will wonders never cease. You and not in the mood to fight. With me your always ready to bite my head off i would have thought you'd be jumping for joy. Anyways mujhe faltu baton mein time nahin hain. I need to get ready for work.
A-Rambo ab akela nahin. He has me. Do what you will. Waise bhi numbers barabar hain tum teen aur hum teen. See you. (Smiles off and shows Kanya 6 fingers.)
P-What the hell was that?
K-She's warning me i have 6 days left before she makes Ranbir hers all. D if she continues this way he will be hers in no time. I can't let that happen. Its taken me a long time to figure out what i want and i'm not giving up without a fight. Aap ne deka na Ranbir thinks so low of us. He was expecting a fight.
P-We must have really hurt him. Uska aankhen dekha tune he looked like something in him has changed like he's changing back to the old Ranbir. No wonder us Archie is pulling her strings round him. Its all my fault Kanya. Na hum use itna tang karte naa yeh din dekh na par tha hume.
S-Tum sach bhole. Us ghade ko sher ki avatar mein dekha hain pehli baar aur woh ek dum kadak. Rukha huwa. Jald kuch karna parega hume aggar tujhe yeh ghenda ko paana hain.
P-Humme abhi se sguru karna chahiye. We can't do anything to Archie in front of Ranbir just in case he defends her. You should have said something to Ranbir Kanya. He looked directly at you. Expecting you to question him.
S-Chunnu kho bhula or is paagal ko itna jaala ke woh apne ap jaal jaye.
K-I don't know if that's a good thing D. Woh waise bhi Chunnu ko nafrat karte hain aur aggar usko yaha pe aya to qayamat ajayegi. He gets mad.
P-I think he's your solution but we need to play it differently. Dekh you only found out tu Ranbir se pyar karti hain Ranbir ko Archi ke saath dekh kar. Right.
K-Right.
P-It's simple the same happened with Ranbir except the way you two were carrying on it looked really bad aur tune apne shaadi ki bare mein bhi Ranbir ko kehdi ke tu Divorce ke baad tu Chunnu se shaadi karegi. That made Ranbir fight for you and he started changing tere liye. Well from all my soap storylines jealousy is always the key to achieve the maximum affect. Chuunu ko yaha bhula ke hum Archie ko uske saath set up karvate hain.
K-Tumhari plan mein do problem hain D. Pehla Ranbir mujhe pyar to kya nafrat karta hain after all i've done. Aur doosrie Archie bhi Ranbir se pyaar karti hain.
S-Tu problems ko maar gholi. Archie ko hum dekhlenge aur raha ghende ki sawaal aggar pyar nahin karega to hum karwa denge na. Itna chinta kyun karti hain?
P-Kanya dekh pyar marta nahin hain. Ranbir still loves you i can see it jab woh tujhse baat kar raha tha. He looked in pain. I really feel sorry for him. Waise bhi becara humara paagal sa ghar mein itna kuch sehen kiya no wonder he's in a state of madness himself. We've totally confused his mind but we will get him on track. Archie seems like she knows what she's doing. Itni bhuri nahin lagti. I have a gut feeling woh jitni bhuri dikhti hain itni bhuri nahin hain.
S-Tu pagal hogayi hain kya. Bhuri kya dikhegi bhootni laghti hain. Na jane Ranbir ko kya khilrahi thi.
P-Tu abhi se Ranbir ko teri us side dikha jo woh pasand kartha hain. Us naughty but fun side. Hitler side mat dikhana waise bhi he's seen that side enough to last him a lifetime.
K-Mein abhi se planning karthi hoon. Hum sab picnic pe jayenge. The whole family. Unka koi kaam nahin paanch din baad. I will start making arrangements and make sure Malika mom ko bata thi hoon. That way nobody has a way out.
Ranbir gets down and sees the three all laughing and immediately starts thinking what the hell are they up to. Mujhe kya? I have to get to work. He gets down and sees Kanya. When will i ever be over her. Why do i think of her all the time. Kanya gives him a smile and he just gives her a puzzled look. What the hell was that all about. They are cooking something.
K-Ranbir i am really sorry. Tumhe itni tang kiya.
R-Is this another mindgame? Kanya kya chahti ho?
K-It's not right going out like this to work. Bad vibes ke saath.
R-It never stopped me before and tum kabse yeh belive karti ho.
K-Its the new me. Kaan pakar thi hoon. Maafi dedo. For all that i've done.
R-Yeah whatever. And leaves. (This is too weird. Brainwashing ya phir she's really genuine. then leaves)
Archita comes down and smiles. Good. She has her posse with her. She's going to need it if she wants Ranbir. Its good seeing her want Ranbir. If only he wanted me instead of her. They can help her get Ranbir while i continue to do what i do best with Ranbir.
