INTRODUCTION: DES PARDES (Combined KYPH and Khwaish characters)

Main Characters:

Zaib Khan & Kripa Patel: Our main leads (Yes I changed his name again from Salim to Rehaan and now back to Zaib as it is best identified with Angad's character from KYPH).

Zaib Khan lives in Mumbai (India) and is 25 years old. He is a poet/singer/composer and also a painter. Basically he is an artist, who sees art and beauty in everything nature has to offer. He is a dreamer, is still single and strongly believes that his dream girl or his 'pari' will appear out of nowhere in his life and he would be swept off his feet the moment he sees her. He is extremely well read- articulate in Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati and English. He is a very sensitive and respectful towards elders and women. He prides in his culture and religion. He has an image of his dream girl in his mind- she would be an Indian, traditional, very beautiful, coy, sensitive, caring and respectful! Needless to say that Zaib himself is a very tall and handsome man, often mistaken for a movie star, especially with a name like Khan!

Kripa Patel lives in Chicago, USA. She is 21, only child of her parents, and is a Junior in college at the University of Illinois. She is the only daughter of Indian immigrant parents. She has always been in awe of the American way of life. She despises anything Indian-whether it is the language, the culture, the food, the people and has no desire to visit her parent's homeland. The last time she visited India was when she was 14, but since then has shown no desire to go back there. She is very disrespectful towards her parents and culture. Kripa herself has been blessed with extreme beauty; she is slim, fair, and petite, with thick long hair, light brown eyes, thick eye lashes and LOADS OF ATTITUDE!

THEIR FAMILIES (brief introduction)

Shahnawaz Khan:

He is Zaib's father. He is a famous diamond merchant in Mumbai and has the famous 'Khan Jewelers' store in Mumbai, and now with branches in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Calcutta. He is a very religious and generous man and loves his family a lot. He has two sons, Kabir Khan and Zaib Khan, and one daughter, Aaliyah Khan.

Zareen Khan:

She is Shahnawaz's wife. Zareen is a very kind hearted lady who dotes on all her three kids. Zaib, being the younger son has always been the apple of her eye. She is a full time stay at home mom and wife.

Kabir Khan:

He is 28, and the older of the two sons. He works with his dad and helps manage their diamond business. He is married to Sanya (Kanan of KYPH):

Aaliyah Khan: She is 21 and the youngest sibling of the Khan clan.

Suryabhan & Gayatri Patel:

Kripa's parents. Suryabhan Patel is a hard working man, who had immigrated to the US 25 years ago. He had migrated from a small village in Gujarat in search of a better life. Like many Gujarati immigrants in the US, he runs a motel business and is content at being a member of the coveted 'Patel Motel Community.'

Gayatri is a God fearing lady who is very traditional and helps her husband with his motel business. She is very 'Gujju' at heart; still speaks in a thick accent, cooks Gujju dishes, wears saris, sings bhajans, and a very active member of the Gujarati samaj of Chicago.

Suryabhan and Gayatri live in a small 4 bedroom suburban house in Chicago; most of their neighbors are also Gujarati. Essentially they still live in Gujarat even though they are thousands of miles away from India.

OTHER CHARACTERS:

Afreen: Daughter of Shahnawaz's best friend and is being considered as a prospective bride for our hero, Zaib Khan.

Azaan: He is in college with Afreen and secretly in love with her. He is hesitant to express himself as he hails from a poor family.

Rest of the characters will be introduced as the story progresses.

i cannt!! lol YAY Zaib!! i can bet u that until ZK dont fall in luiv, kripa is gonn abe in my bad books... i know ur gonna potray her as a desi hater really well, after all i read all ur FF's they were awsome.. this one will be too...i am also mourning over AK 😭

Zaib, love it!!! nd Kripa's from a gujju family, nice... i picture her mom and
dad like Rohit's mom and dad from Kal Ho Naa Ho, lol... i like Kripa's
character so far, coz it unique, but i doubt i will like her when the story
starts!!! i like how u pulled in Khawish too!!! dying to read more, continue

awsome intro......i also noticed that in your lateset ff's u have had many diff ethnic backgrounds...which is really intersting....like in tumhari amanat AK were our bale bale punjabi's ( i am a punjabi myself so gotta have pride) 😆 ....and in this one its muslim and guju's....very unique...Thats another fact that I like about ur ff's because it gives us a chance to learn more about other cultures and their customs and stuff....which i find quit interesting....continue soon....cant wait till the two poles meet 😉 ....and keep up the great work 👏

cool ...i m so waiting for the next parts. the characters seems to be very interesting to me...i think i m going to have fun nad wonder when zaib's expression will know that his pari is actually devil...looking forward for sweet fights...lord di itd going to be so much fun
