Excellent...........Wow, wat an update...........finally i guess one scoop of mystery is soon going to be solved..........is naina seriously just a reporter..... i kinda don't think so......i love ur extra long updates.......they keep me glued for even longer........so tehzeeb's a psychologist.......finally,she is gonna tell raj the Truth.....waiting eagerly for the next update.....and yes, thanx 4 the PM...........bye.

she sighed...

security arrangements tujhe
hi finalise karne hain...
guppe baad mein maar lena..."

aalekh had entered at the wrong time....

tehzeeb stopped..looking away...

it was absolutely clear to raj..
dat she wouldn't go on....

"i'll talk to you in the evening...."

she nodded....

& that was it..
the conversation remained incomplete...

through out their drive raj's
mind whirled with questions....

but he knew he'd have to wait for answers...
patience...he reminded himself...have patience...

"where is everyone else??
hotel yaan ground mein??"

"abhimanyu aur huda hotel mein hai..
aur navin grounds mein hai..
waiting for us..."
aalekh answered...

"fine...."

he brought the car to a stop..

"walkie-talkie ke sets nikaal...
keep 1 with you...ek navin ko de..
aur ek mujhe..."

he got off...threw the keys to aalekh..
telling him to come quickly...

he entered the imperial grounds..

it was time for work.........!

"navin..we don't have much time..
yahaan saari arrangements dekhne ke baad..
we'll go back to the hotel to get the ministers..."

"right..guards se maine baat kar li hai..
told them to keep their eyes open...
gate par strict checking hone waali hai.."

"entry by pass only..specify kiya??"

"haan..par raj..it's really easy to
get fake passes...
kisi ko nahi pata chalega..."

"i know...but then we have metal
detectors all over the place...
koi gun,knife andar nahi aayegi..."

"aur ...human bomb hua to??"

"dekh navin...
terrorists ka target PM..
yaan defence minister hai...
what we have to basically ensure is
dat no stranger can come close enough to them...
hum sab circular protection denge..
& every person is going to be individually checked..."

navin nodded...
"bas...aaj ka din kisi tarah theek se nipat
jaaye..aage to hum sambhaal hi lenge..."

"right...par ek dil ki baat kahoon..?"
raj smiled a bit..

"i have a solid intution ki aaj
kuch panga hone waala hai...
however hard we try..."
he had a far-fetched look in his eyes...

"yup!!...lethal ones!"
raj grinned

an hour was left:

raj clapped his hands hard ..

"alright everone...come up here..
meri baad kaan kholkar suno...
one mistake by even a single one of you..
& everything's over...
sab khatam ho jaayega....

aap logon ko jo morning mein instructions di gayi thi..
about your placement..positioning etc.
main sab change kar raha hoon.."

"because hopefully..
changes at the last minute will cause problems

a batch of soldiers moved ahead...

ek aur baar dogs se grounds check karwaana...

another batch came forward while
the first one stepped back...

"andar aane waali har gaadi...
mind you..spare not even one!..
saari vehicles ki checking
honi chaahiye....clear??"

"yes sir!!"

"& the rest of you..
teams 3...& 4..
surround the place immediately...

spread out...keep your eyes open...
agar mujhe koi bhi soldier....
sote hue..guppe maarte hue..
yaan duty chodkar kuch bhi karta nazar aaya..
den you've had it!!...

i swear tum logon ko main army mein
dobaara kadam nahi rakhne doonga..
clear????"

"sir!"

"march out...aur baaki sab...
dias ko surround kar lena..
the moment PM steps up to deliver his speech....

baaki instructions main saath-saath deta rahoonga...
aap logon ke beech ek distinction bhi
aap sabko provide kar di jaayengi..

so dat i know...which soldier is positioned exactly where...
i want no mistakes what so-ever!!!"

"chal navin..aalekh...c'mon guys...
we're running short of time!"

they rushed out...

raj smiled...

"kya matlab...?"
the Prime Minister asked...

"aap jaante hain aapki jaan khatre mein hai...
we might have to take drastic measures in case of
an emergency...
anyway..baaton ka time nahi hai...
let's leave..."

"fine..captain...
we trust our army men..."
they both smiled...

indeed you do sir...
but do we?????????
raj wondered.....

"aalekh..huda..abhimanyu..
navin...
take up different positons hotel mein...
yahaan bhi khatra ho sakta hai...

i'll walk them out till the entrance...
wahaan se push them instantly into the car..."

he didn't want to take any chances today....

they all went away...

"captain..kuch zyaada hi nahi ho raha?
i mean...is dere really such a big problem?"
the defence minister asked him..

raj grinned..

"i hope not sir..
but usually every person is accustomed to think
that he's safe in this world....
& for people like you...
that could be really dangerous...
turn left please.."

"left...par entrance to right??"

"bathroom mein chaliye pehle..."

he escorted them in...
& handed them some packets...

the arrival till the gates of the ground
went unhindered.....

aalekh & huda had followed on bikes..
while navin , abhimanyu & raj sat inside the car
with the ministers....

"aalekh...huda...dekho andar sab theek hai na?"
he spoke on his walkie-talkie

they went & returned after awhile...

"sab theek to lag raha hai..par
bheed kuch zyaada hi ho gayi hai...
press has turned up in a rather large number..."

aalekh spoke to him through
the window of the car dat was marginally pulled down...

it was bullet-proof.....

"shit!!
...a....sorry about the jargon sir..."
raj instantly apologised to them..

"c'mon captain..
hum itne bhi old-fashioned nahi hai..."

"right sir...
theek hai aalekh...seating arrangement ka jo panel hai
on the dias...
wahaan tak inhe cover dete hai...

surround!"

as these 5 men led the ministers to the podium..
encircling them from all sides....

hands in their pockets..
holding on to their 9 mm pistols...
fully loaded.....

a man smiled....

"kitni bhi koshish kar lo captain...
jab tum mein se hi ek gaddar hai....
humaari madad kar raha hai...
to humaara yahaan pahunchna to bachon ka khel tha.."

he stood there in the army uniform...
an automatic rifle in his hand....

he waited for the right time.....

raj'e eyes never stopped scanning the place...

he was sitting next to the defence minister..
as the PM got up to make his speech....

he approached the mike...

"alert guys..."
raj spoke on his walkie-talkie...
putting everyone on their toes...

"you're a good soldier..."
the defence minister smiled...

"soldier ki asli pehchaan to
maidaan-e-jung main hoti hai sir..."
raj replied...modestly....

"kashmir ab yahin hai captain..
a war-ground..."

raj looked in his eyes...

saw the true nationalism reflecting from it...

he was rather old...someone who'd probably
been through the traumas of partition...

"i agree sir..
but yeh peace-talks ek optimistic step to hai...
it'll turn out to be a success hopefully..."

"aatankwaadi yeh kabhi nahi hone denge.....
they're against the notion completely..."

it was then..
dat raj noticed a sudden flash of movement...

his eyes hovered at a certain point..
but he couldn't manage to see anything there...

he stood up...
& his eyes fell on a man....

sum-one from the army ....
his gaze instantly shifted to the man's wrist

he wore a black band in his hand...

"black band??..
par woh to sirf outer circle mein
khade soldiers ko pehnaaya
gaya tha..wat d hell is he doing....."

oh hell!!!...
this could only mean.........

it was at dat instant..that raj saw the
man raise his rifle a bit..

he'd stepped back...
probably hiding himself from everyone's eyes....

& his target was ...the PM!!

"guys...i have our man...

north - west...40 degrees
from the dias...

he seems to be working alone...
par ho sakta hai ki uske saathi bhi ho...
get ready..."

raj raised his revolver...

his target clearly in view...

but then...sudenly he felt
sun reflecting in his eyes...

someone was deliberately dividing his attention!!!

& just dat second made hell lot of a differece....

the man fired...at the PM...

a huge sound was heard..
& the PM was thrown off balance
due to the impact of the bullet with his chest.....

"thank god!!"
raj sighed....
& shot down the terrorist...

thank god..maine last minute par
inko bullet-proof jackets de di..
warna aaj.....

no matter what...
in raj's eyes..this had proved to be a failure...

but he didn't have the time to be disheartened...
coz duty called....

all 5 of them rushed to the ministers side...

encircled them again..guns in their hands...
& roughly carried them to the car....

a panic had encompassed the place..
& due to the stampede it became difficult
to escort them.....

however among all flashes of the cameras...

questions being thrown at them by the press &
the mad-public...

raj managed to roughly escort them all to safety....

inside the car..
he heaved a sigh of relief...

"sir..aap theek to hain???"

"absolutely...thanks to you...
your jacket did it!"

"i'm so sorry sir...
we almost failed out there..."

"no u didn't...relax...
hotel chalo.."

they were put to rest in their
respective rooms in the hotel...

after about 3-4 hours..
wen everything was over..
& the guys were returning home...

raj's cell blinked...

he recieved the call....

"haan tehzeeb bolo?"

navin was surprised...

tazz raj ko kyon phone kar rahi hai????

"wat??!!.."
his face paled....
he stood still...
& then almost trembled....

"par aisi haalat mein bhi...?
kyon?"

"i've no clue raj...
do something ...please"

an urgency in her voice....
she was crying......

"main jaata hoon.."
he disconnected the phone...

"k..kya hua raj...
nia..is she alright??"
navin knew something had gone miserably wrong..
again!!

raj shook his head..

"nahi nanoo...she's not....

she's ...under..... arrest...
police usse le gayi hai...."

"wat??!!!"

Hi.....are u yourself an army officer or what??????....how could u so well strategise the whole update.....see,i am an army officer's daughter and papa keeps telling me how all they practice the war time situations during mobilisations....(it truly intrigues me).....though both don't have a common grounds,yet i feel as if your mind works in that direction..........hehehehe..........it was seriously awesome.......all the plans and absolutely everything...........WOW.......just feel like keep on reading this one as well as ahead........so quickly update the next one plzzzzzzzzzz.........and yet another mystery......hehehehehe......

And u very well justify the title of ur fic time and again....... 👏👏

omg, so naina is right!! there is a traitor....is it huda? 😕 but not fair gazal, we couldn't hear what tezeeb told raj 😭 now we'll have to wait for the next part....so do updte sooon and plz don't let raj or naina get hurt again . thanx for the pm 😃
