stone...he felt guilty...

trying to erase ever memory...

hoping dat this was just a nightmare....

the doorbell rang....
& his eyes flew open again...

kaka opened the door....

aalekh & huda walked in....

"hey guys...it's freezing out here!"
aalekh smiled...

obviously unaware of the trauma in the house...

huda instantly noticed something was amiss...
"kya hua?
tum teeno ke chehre par
baara kyon baje hue hain??"

"shit!!..tehzeeb...tum ro kyon rahi ho??
hang on!!..tum yahaan kar kya rahi ho?"
aalekh asked....

she wiped her tears & sighed...

not having the courage to go
thru the ordeal again...

all three of them in bits &
pieces told the two the entire thing
dat had happened in the last few hours...

how their lives had been jumbled up & down...

both of them ..shocked..
had rushed in..& now stood grieving like the others...

two of the 3 doctors came out....

"the medications are working again..
tension ki baat nahi hai..
atleast her life's out of danger...

in fact...there are chances dat she might recover out of this
partial coma...
she'll need nothing tonight...
so 2 of us are leaving...
ek doctor naina ke saath hi rahenge..
just in case of an emergency...."

they left.....

raj asked..suddenly noticing his absence..

"hotel mein hi hai...
said he'll return after awhile...
shaayad security waale ke saath koi
meeting kar raha tha...."
aalekh answered...

"khaana lagaa diya hai..
dinner kar lo..."
tehzeeb called them in a subdued voice...

"mujhe bhookh nahi hai..."
navin had closed his eyes...

"bhookh to mujhe bhi nahi hai tazz....
u guys go ahead...
main aur navin baad mein kha lenge"

raj added the last line wen he saw tazz
getting a bit upset...

it was rather late at night..
& they'd all retired to their rooms....

raj tossed in his bed....

her visions filling his mind...

he wondered how'd he ever hated her so much??

was it his fault dat naina was in this condition??

maine us ke liye bura chaaha aur wahi hua...

it struck him dat all his efforts to
forget her had been in vain...

he'd been fooling himself wen he
thought that he'd escaped from her....

the reality was short & sweet...although painful..

he was still...
madly & truly in love with naina singh ahluwalia....
& nothing would ever change this fact....

she was his destiny...his desire...his dream...his life....

the doctor was almost asleep but got up
wen he heard the door opening....

"oh..aap..raat ko do baje?."

"ah..doctor...would naina be needing any
thing..koi injections..or medicines..?"

"nahi...dose de chuka hon.."

"i have a request...
kya main yahaan baith sakta hoon..
u can go rest in the next room..."

he smiled...
"alright...i guess even i need a break...
but young man..can i ask you something??"

raj nodded...

"how're u related to naina..?"

"ah..."
he paused..

she still wore his ring...
his heart lifted...

he went away...
