GAINING TRUST

Naina wanted Rajveer back at any cost and she knew that she won't be able to do it alone. She needed the best help she could get and at that moment only Captain Abhimanyu seemed like giving out a helping hand. She didn't have to give him all the information, just the relevant parts. "Captain Rajveer was taking us on this mission which he was going to tell us about after reaching to the point. But in Nagpur we were stopped by various soldiers. I thought that perhaps this was the mission but when Captain Sir put up his gun against Dr. Ritu I realized that something else was going on. Why was Dr. Ritu attacking Captain Rajveer? I heard them talking about nuclear triggers and how Captain Rajveer wont be able to stop her from taking it. There was a struggle between them for some time. I intervened but couldn't even get closer to them because some other soldiers came and grabbed me. They began to severely beat me. I couldn't catch anything happening with Captain Rajveer. Then I heard a gun shot, I fell on the floor and was able to see him sprawled in his own blood. My eye sight was really hazy due to which I couldn't see anything further". Tears had filled her eyes by then as she remembered that helpless look of Rajveer again. Why couldn't she have been stronger? Why couldn't she save him?

After hearing her story Abhimanyu sympathized with her. He could understand how it could have been being in that situation where you were helpless. "Hum jaante hai ke kaafi kuch guzra hoga aapke dil pe. I assure you Naina that I'll find him and get justice."

"I don't understand one thing Sir. How can you trust me? How can you know that I'm telling the truth?"

"Aapkee yeh jo aankhe hai Naina, wo saaree sacchai bayaan kardetee hai. It has been showing me how much you have regret for not being able to save Raj, when you could've. It is also showing me that you have your doubts against me. You should have them. After what you've seen happening around here then there should be no reason for you to believe me instantly but Naina this is all about gaining trust. I'll have to prove to you that I'm on the right side and I certainly will. What I need from you is your support. I know that you will help me in this mission because your Captain Rajveer believed in you trusted you. Now for his sake I need you to believe in me and trust me.

Did he just say 'your Captain Rajveer'? Naina thought was he also able to read her affection for him. She had to be more careful. "Right now Sir I don't seem to be able to trust anyone. But I'll definitely go along with you in this mission because this is about doing the right thing. We all need Captain Rajveer back in this academy and you're the only one who is prepared to help out.

"To phir milte hai music class main". Abhimanyu put back his earphones in his ears and his tone changed so quickly as if nothing had happened.

"Music class?"

"Yes, I'm your new music teacher. Naina music is all about belief and trust. If you believe in yourself then you can certainly play an instrument very well and if you trust your fellow mates then you can create a successful band".

She took his leave and joined her friends in the mess. She told them about her conversation with Captain Abhimanyu and she got mixed responses.
"Phoolan tujhe kya lagta hai ke yeh lambhe baalo waala is system ka hissa nahi?" Huda was finding it hard to believe anything any more.

"Me jaantee hu Huda that he is just one of them, but right now our main mission is to find Captain Rajveer and save him from this conspiracy." Naina was firm and knew that her decision was a bit hazy but at that moment was the best thing.

"Lagta hai oska network, tere network ke saat connect hogaya hai. Naina if you think that Captain Abhimanyu is doing the right thing then I'll definitely join you, because there's nothing more than bringing our Shahrukh back into this academy."

"Thanks Pooja. Me jaantee hu that you don't know the full truth but I promise that after this is all finished I'll definitely tell you the truth".

"yeh sab me apna talktime waste mat kar. Just concentrate on what you should be doing further."

"Apun ko lagta hai yeh Captain Abhimanyu bohat jald kuch karne waala hai. The way he was assuring Naina really meant that he has a plan already up his sleeve. Per Naina tujhe ospe ziada bharosa nahi karna chaheeye, kyu ke kuch bhi hosakta hai." Alekh had become too protective of her recently.

"I know Alekh, that's why I didn't tell him the full truth." Gave him a look to tell him what she was implying. She was hoping he would understand that she didn't tell him about Rajveer killing Navin or about her true feelings for Rajveer. "Guys I know that we all are worried about what's going to happen now. How we will bring back Captain Sir, but we can't do anything alone. We need a guide and at the moment we only have one person and that is Captain Abhimanyu Chauhan. I'm not saying that we have to trust him immediately but if we all stick together then we'll definitely accomplish this."

"Okay guys I don't know about you but I'm definitely in" Yudi had this strong belief that maybe Captain Abhimanyu was their last choice. He could learn to trust him.

"Hum bhi aapke saat hai. I know that I had my doubts but I also know that Captain Rajveer would expect this from us" Ali had finally come around.

"Apun to haij saat tere"

"Or me bhi hu" Pooja joined in.

They all starred at Huda who still hadn't given his vote. He was still not able to come to terms with the fact that Captain Abhimanyu could be a savior. He hadn't seen anyone else in that avatar except for Captain Rajveer and now when he was gone he couldn't see anyone taking his place.

Naina could understand right then that Captain Abhimanyu was right. It was all about gaining trust.

JOINING HANDS

"What is the further report?" BC was talking with Major Nair over the phone.

"Sir, Captain Rajveer has passed the border and is on his way to Delhi. This could be very dangerous for us".

"You don't worry. As long as we have him doing exactly as we've planned, then nothing is going to stop us from reaching our goal. Not even Captain Chauhaan"

"We would have to keep this discrete sir as officially the case has been removed from our hands."

BC agreed and became a bit tensed. "I know Major. I've contacted the higher authorities to get the case out of Captain Chauhaan's hands. Let's see what the reply is. You keep a constant track over Captain Rajveer and make sure that our agent is very careful and doesn't get caught. Even with his memory loss, Rajveer can be considered quite cunning."

"Aap fikar mat kijye Sir. Captain Rajveer is history now. Over and out Sir." Major Nair cut the phone and then with his binoculars saw Rajveer and Alisha driving on the highway. It was him who had given the last message to Rajveer as now the real game was going to begin. Rajveer was going to get into the place where they wanted him to be.

Captain Abhimanyu Chauhaan entered his classroom full of instruments and organized everything. His first step was to gain confidence of successful cadets. These cadets would be the ones to help him in his mission.

One by one the cadets entered and amongst them were the six. Naina was already, ready to listen but she was worried about her friends, especially Huda because he still hadn't given his consent.

First of all everyone just introduced themselves and Abhimanyu told them all not to be formal with him because the first thing music taught was equality. "When you select an instrument you are actually reflecting you're personality. Like for instance Cadet Huda, you've picked a trumpet. So you're trying to say you're confident and bold. And you Cadet Ali Baig, you've seemed to pick up a flute. Quite a calm and serene nature. So now you guys must be getting a hint of what I'm trying to say. The first thing about playing an instrument is to believe. The person must believe in himself that he can do something. Her insaan ke under ek josh hona chaheeye ke wo kuch karsakta hai, kuch haasil karsakta hai. Sirf oske baad hee a successful tune can be manipulated onto an instrument".

Everyone had begun to think now about what Abhimanyu said. To some extent it was true for all of them. The six cadets somehow remembered Rajveer telling them exactly the same thing but in a different manner. He had taught them to believe enough in themselves before they actually went out there on the field for their drills. It was this drive that had given them success till date so now when Abhimanyu was telling them the same thing, they understood every bit.

"Now, let's see how we can play". He stood in the centre of the room and then guided them all to play their instruments together. It created havoc and a noisy rowd instead of a playful tune. "Stop it! Lagta hai none of you were listening to me earlier. Second thing about music is team work. You need to trust your team mates in order to play in a successful band. Now let's make groups". He organized groups of fours and fives randomly. Then he made them play separately. The changing continued for some time and still Abhimanyu wasn't convinced. At last the six cadets were grouped together and finally something decent came out. The way each individual helped each other in that group convinced him that his search was over.

After the class he joined the group in the mass. At first they all were formal but then he reminded them not to be. Then he sat next to Naina. "All of you have a gift which you should cherish."

"What are you talking about Abhimanyu?" Naina wasn't exactly clear, was he implying about their music or their ability to become an officer.

"Hum aap sabkee ekta kee baat karahe hai. All of you have a gift of believing in each other which is very rare to find. You seem to boast each other when one is down and you seem to give the other a hand in need."

"aap apun log ko kya kehna chahte ho, wo zara khulke kaho, don't talk in riddles and codes" Alekh always wanted to get to the point, even though he knew what Abhimanyu was trying to do with them.

"Theek hai Cadet Alekh, hum sidhe point pe aate hai. I've come into this academy with a motive, a mission and I need good hands to accomplish that mission. I know that my mission is the same mission for nearly every cadet in this academy. Jo desh ka dushman hai ose pakar ke bahaar nikaal na hai or jo is desh ke sipahi hai onhe sammaan dena. We all know that Captain Rajveer is one of the best soldiers of this country who is running for justice. We have to obtain that justice for him, get him back in his rightful position. Hum yeh nahi kehrahe hai ke aap sab hum pe aankh band karke vishwaas kijye, but I want you guys to believe in each other, that yes, we can do this. We will bring Rajveer back where he belongs."

The six cadets began thinking separately. Alekh thought that Abhimanyu is saying the right thing. Yudi thought that this guy was definitely on the right tracks. Naina thought that even if Abhimanyu is not completely trustable, they could still work with him to get what they want and then can leave him. Pooja and Ali both had the same opinion that they shouldn't completely trust him, but as long as they have trust for each other then nothing could go wrong. Now only one person remained, Huda. He was still juggling between the possibilities in his head. If he did agree with Abhimanyu then he would also become part of the manipulation. If he doesn't agree with him, then there won't be another good chance of finding Rajveer. After some thought he decided that it was best to get entangled in the web and finding Rajveer than staying out of it and not finding him at all.

Abhimnayu was now satisfied that he had achieved his joining hands.

PROJECT RESCUE

All the six cadets were gathered in Abhimanyu's room where Naina told them all what ?happened with her and Rajveer on that mission. Of course she left out some details which ?she was afraid to tell her friends just as yet because she didn't know how they will react. ?

?"Ab humein yeh plan karna hai ke where to begin". Abhimanyu sat down with a map and ?a piece of paper where he had jotted down everything Naina told him. "Raj had started ?from here, KMA". He marked it on the map. "Then he went towards Nagpur, where he ?stopped". He marked that on the map. "Ab oske aage kaha hai, yeh humein pata lagana ?hai. So our first step should be to go to Nagpur." ?

?"But sir, how would we all be allowed to go?" Yudi seemed confused because as far as ?he knew the rules of KMA, they weren't allowed to just go on any mission of their ?choice. ?

?"Cadet Yudi, I do understand your confusion but you're forgetting something. I've been ?given permission by the higher authorities to take on this case, so that automatically gives ?me authority to take out this mission however I wish. Or rahee baat aap sab kee hamare ?saat aane kee to wo to hum BC…hamara matlab hai Brigadier Chandoke se baat ?karlenge." Then he continued discussing some more points of what they should do and he ?opened his ears to get suggestions. ?

After their discussion Naina and Alekh sat in the mess alone and talked. "Alekh tujhe kya ?lagta hai, kya Abhimanyu kayaab honge?" ?

?"Apun ko to sirf yeh maloom hai ke you will definitely achieve your goal. Abimanyu's ?techniques and way of going about things is definitely different than Captain Rajveer but ?I can sense some truthfulness in his talks." ?

?"I can also but somehow I'm still afraid of what will happen when he will find out the ?truth about Captain Rajveer. What if he will also decide to punish him like I once had?" ?That thought terrified Naina because now she couldn't imagine loosing Rajveer like that. ?Even though he was lost some where, she knew that he was alive. Her heart assured her ?of it. ?
?"Truth has to come out one day or the other. You don't worry about that right now. Or ?wese bhi agar aisa huwa to yeh 6 dhaal karhee hongee Rajveer sir ke aage. Nobody will ?be able to even touch him." ?

?"I don't even know how all the rest will react when they'll get to know the truth. Kya wo ?yeh accept karsakhenge Alekh? Ab Pooja ka to mujhe pata hai that she'll support me or ?Yudi bhi samajh jaaega. Per Huda? Already many times he has gone against Rajveer and ?now what if he decides to do the same? Yahi baat Ali pe bhi lagoo hotee hai." ?

?"Tu phokat me tention lerahee hai. Chal samjhle ke aisa hoga to kya? I'm going to be ?there with you till the end. Agar 6 nahi to 4 sahi per yeh 4 dhaal bhi kuch kam nahi ?hongee." Alekh was aware of the consequences and he also knew that the events could ?turn around in an opposite direction. But at that moment he wanted Naina to only believe ?in the positive side and leave the negative for later. "Or ek baat, apun ne tujhse kaha tha ?ke tera yeh dil jo hai, wo itna musboot hai ke her larai larsakta hai. You can accomplish ?this by yourself. Per hum sab tera saat denge tereee himmat barhaane ke liye" ?

?"Thank you Alekh. Tu her baar mujhe yeh sab kehke meree himmat barha ta hee hai. I ?know that you all will stick with me till the end. We will definitely find Rajveer". &nb sp; ?

BC's office, KMA

?"I'm afraid this time I won't be able to stop him. Political reasons" A higher authority ?told BC over the phone.?

?"Sir, you know how dangerous this can be for all of us. Agar Captain Chauhaan, Captain ?Rajveer ko doondne me kamyaab hogaya then we all will be exposed." ?

?"I'm also aware of that Brigadier, but right now my hands are tied. But that doesn't mean ?that I'll just sit back and watch the action. I won't be able to take away the orders from ?Abhimanyu but I will be able to prevent him from finding out anything." ?

Then there was a knock on the door so BC excused himself and cut the phone. "Come ?in!" ?

Abhimanyu entered and saluted. "Sir! I have a request"?

?"At ease Captain. How may I help you this time?" ?

?"Sir, I've monitored this case and so far the information I've gathered requires proper ?assistance and strong hands."?

?"What are you suggesting Captain?" ?

?"I would like to gain help from the cadets of this academy. This would be part of their ?training and will also be an action towards fighting for this country." ?
?"I had warned you Captain that don't do anything to abuse your power. You can't just ?pick up these cadets to go onto such a dangerous mission. I'm responsible for them all." ?

?"Permission to talk freely Sir!" ?

BC agreed. ?

?"The cadets have come here only for this reason sir because they want to become the best ?soldiers of this country. We teach them to tackle such situations about life and death. ?That's what they have to keep in their minds all the time, so how can this situation be any ?different? Yeh bhi wahee hai. We're teaching them to fight for justice, make sure this ?country becomes a safe place for everyone. Through this mission sir, they will be able to ?develop those skills." ?

?"The cadets have not even passed through the dangerous drills as yet and you expect me ?to allow you to take them on a task where anything could happen?"?

?"An army life is lived on the edge sir. This is essential for them and you also know that." ?

Abhimanyu had not left much choice for BC. BC was aware of which cadets Abhimanyu ?would choose because there were only those six who really cared about Rajveer. He also ?knew that if they will join hands then they'll definitely succeed in finding Rajveer. At ?that moment he couldn't refuse because then Abhimanyu might get a hint of something ?being fishy somewhere. BC decided to agree for the time being and then he and Major ?Nair would make sure that their plan is not foiled. "Alright Captain Chauhaan, you may ?take the cadets on this mission." ?

?"Thank you sir!" he took his leave and then returned to all the six cadets. "Get ready for ?project rescue!" ?

FINDING CLUES

Ali and Alekh were getting ready in their room whilst Yudi and Huda did the same in their room. Abhimanyu had given them strict orders that they all had to appear in civil clothes on this mission because if anywhere someone from the army recognized them then the corrupted officers would become alert. Whilst packing their bags they all looked around the room and remembered old times. Huda remembered his first night in the KMA of how he had gone into Naina's room by mistake and then he had slept on Yudi. Ali remembered seeing Alekh drinking all the time and Yudi remembered their fun days with the guys and how many times they had sneaked out of their rooms after lights went out. The reason why they were getting flashbacks was because they all knew how dangerous this mission was where anything could happen. They didn't even know that who will come back and who won't.

Naina sat on the bed with a letter which Abhimanyu had handed her after their meeting earlier. It was a letter from Rajveer addressed to her. This letter was written after he had come out of the solitary confinement after the mentorship camp. Rajveer had hesitated to give it to her earlier because then what they had been denying would become true and he couldn't risk that. Naina's life depended on it and he cared too much for her. Abhimnayu had found it in Rajveer's drawer and thought of passing it on to Naina since it might have some new information. It certainly did have new information in it. Something she found quite surprising.

"Chal Naina, Abhimanyu ka SMS aagaya hai ab hamein jaldee se oske network ke saat connect karna hai" Pooja didn't see the letter in her hand because she quickly hid it under her leg. She wasn't ready to tell Pooja the truth about her feelings yet because it was too early. She had decided that as soon as she would find Rajveer, everyone would find out automatically.

Outside near the flame all the six gathered and before going out to meet Abhimanyu they all had a small chat. "Guys, I'll definitely remember this academy wherever I am" Yudi had a bad feeling that maybe he won't be returning.

"hum jaha bhi rahe, we all have to make sure we stay together. That's where our strength lies and if these foul players succeed in dividing us then there won't be any hope left."

"Pehlej baar yeh Huda theek kehraha hai. Right now all of us have the same opinion about Abhimanyu that he can't be completely trusted. That is the reason why we have to stay even more firm together, so even if he is on the wrong side, all of us will be enough to save Rajveer sir. Apun sab ne kahi baar Captain Rajveer kee jaan bachaee hai so we'll succeed this time too." Alekh put his hand out and waited for the rest to put theirs on his. One by one they all did and gave each other promises of keeping the bond very strong.

Abhimanyu sat on the bonnet of his car, completely relaxed. He was listening to music and humming it silently. When the six cadets saw him, they were surprised to see him so relaxed as if they were going on a holiday. "Humein to yeh Captain Samaj me hee nahi aate". Ali spoke lowly to Pooja who just shook her shoulders.

When Abhimanyu saw them he got off the bonnet and straightened up, just like an officer and ordered all of them to get into his jeep.

During the journey everyone was into their own thoughts. Alekh noticed Naina constantly looking at a letter and was lost. He became too curious as to what it was that was making her so uneasy. "Kya huwa tujhe?"

"Alekh aaj mujhe ek aisee baat maloom huwee hai jiske baad I'm finding it hard to breathe."

"What new information have you received? Is it connected to Rajveer sir?"

She handed him the letter for him to find out himself. "Yeh letter Rajveer sir ne tub likha tha jab onhe meree wajese solitary confinement me jaana parha tha."

Alekh read the letter:

Janam dekh lo mitgayee dhooriya. Me yaha hoon, yaha hoon yaha.
Kesi sarhadein, kesi majbooriyah. Mein yaha hoon, yaha hoon yaha.
Tum chupa na sakogee me wo raaz hu, tum bhoola na sakogee me wo andaaz hu
Goonjta hu dil mein to hairaan ho kyu, me tumhaare hee dil kee to awaaz hu.
Sun sako to suno dharkano kee zubaan, me yaha hoon, yaha hoon, yaha hoon yaha.
Me hee me ab tumhaare khayalo me hu, me jawaabo me hu, me sawaalo me hu
Me tumhaare her ek khwaab me hu basa, me tumharee nazar ke ujalo me hu
Dekhti ho mujhe, dekhti ho jaha, me yaha hu, yaha hu, yaha.

Yeh mere dil kee awaaz hai Naina jo me tum tak pohochana chahta hu. Yeh khat to tumhe de nahi sakta per apne dil se tumhare dil ko awaaz de sakta hu or me jaanta hu ke tum mere awaaz zaroor sunogee.

Alekh didn't want to read any further because it was just too emotional. He could feel Naina's pain at that moment because she had just found out that Rajveer had been in love with her for a long time and she had just realized recently. That too after losing him. "Tujhe to khush hona chaheeye because now you know that your feelings for him are mutual".

"I'm not upset about knowing that he loves me too. I'm upset because I could never see what he had always been trying to tell me, not even when he was lying there on the floor helplessly. Alekh, he was trying to reach out for me. Even when he was in serious trouble he was trying to help me, protect me." Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Bus Naina, tune bohat aason baha liye. Now it's turn to become strong and fight back. You've to fight back to get back your Rajveer."

She smiled at the sound of that – my Rajveer. It sounded almost as if she owned him. If he was her possession then it was on her to possess him forever.

It took them a few hours before they reached the point where Rajveer was stopped by Dr. Ritu. Naina showed them the exact spot.

"Okay guys, this is our first task. We have to find as many clues as possible. There has to be some here which would tell us at least something about where Rajveer could have been taken from here." Abhimanyu looked around whilst passing out orders, just to make sure no one else was around. He had a feeling that there won't be much to find in the deserted area, but he was training the cadets into searching for important and less obvious clues.

The task began of finding clues.
