Continued Naina ran towards the door. But Neelu had already opened the door and greeted Huda inside. Yudi came forward and hugged Huda, followed by Alekh. But Huda's eyes were searching for Naina. There, he saw her, standing beside the hallway. She has gone frail, her skin had lost the slight pink glow it always had. Instead, it was white - pure white now. Her hair was tied in a neat knot. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved pink t-shirt. She was looking beautiful – his Phoolan was a beauty.
" Phoolan – I have got the Ch-," Huda stopped mid-way as Naina indicated him to stop by putting her index finger on her lips. Huda fell thrilled. So he and Naina share a secret which others don't know. He felt really special.
After a delicious lunch of biriani and dahi, all the cadets and Neelu went outside in the garden to stroll around. Naina sat on a swing and unconsciously began to sway a little. "Phoolan , ye le ," Huda handed over a piece of paper to Naina, " There were two chaubeys , so I wrote the numbers for both. "
" Thanks huda, tere help k liye, I will always remember this help. " A flicker of a smile passed through Naina's face.
"Phoolan main………", Huda stopped as Naina abruptly got up from the swing and walked into the house. . He quickly dried a drop of tear from his eye and proceeded towards Neelu to flirt with her in his usual ways, burying the pain of unreciprocated love deep down in his heart.
It was decided that Huda and Alekh would leave for HUda's home next morning. Naina requested Yudi to leave his cellphone with her for that night as she wanted to ring her parents.
It was 9 in the evening. All were engrossed in the cricket game showing on television in the living room, Naina went up to Neelu's room. She took out yudi's cellphone and the chit of paper that Huda had given her. She keyed in the first number,
"Crnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng," After sometime a voice came from the other side, "Hello".
" Main Naina bol rahi hoon. "
"Kaun Maynah……. Kahan se bol rahi hai tu, dadijee kaise hai , tera bacchcha thik to hai…….."
Naina pressed the disconnect key of the cell hard enough to break it.
It was an imported set and endured the wrath of Naina's anger.
Naina inserted the second number.
"Hello, who is speaking," came from the other end.
"Naina"
There was a pause of 15 seconds
"18"
"57 " replied Naina
"White"
"Black" her heart started to beat faster.
"red"
"Box". Naina held Her breath
"code"
