Chapter 2:
"kripa, here on this paper write all the digits one through 100 on this paper, now!" she quickly grabbed the pencil and began writing, but then she saw her brother and sister run out the door to play. "daddy, daddy, I want to go play, I don't want to do this!" suryaban looked at her and yelled, "do it now, I don't have all day!" "but daddy, I don't want to, I want to play NOW!" Wackkkk, he slapped her, tears ran down her eyes, it felt as though the lightning struck her, he had just slapped her. She cried and continued working, an hour later she was done. Her tears had dried but marks of tears were left on her cheeks, she went upstairs hugged her teddy and fell asleep.

"dad, can I have a birthday party, I am turning 10, please dad!" "suryaban looked at kripa and said, "no your not having a party, I don't have all day and I don't want to deal with all this party crap, so NO party!" kripa quietly walked away and thought, "its not fair, its never fair!" they cut the cake all five of them, but she didn't get a hug from her parents, birthday wishes or a smile.

She walked into her room thinking how life had been so awkward with her, why wasn't anyone fair to her, she shed tears that night, and fell asleep crying. She got ready the next morning and was off to school without a "have a good day at school!" or "love you!"

Later that day, kripa came home with her grade report, she had gotten all A average grades. Suryaban went through all the assignment grades and found a bunch of C's. he looked at her, anger rose to the tip of his nose. "what is this kripa, cant you do anything right?" "dad, those are just one or two assignments, you should be glad I got all A's even with failing one or two assignments." "no, go back tomorrow damn it, and redo the assignments, im fed up with all your mistakes, your so damn annoying!" and walked away.

The next morning kripa went up to her teacher and begged to redo some of the assignments for her fathers sake, even though she had passed all the subjects. "of course kripa, you can redo the assignments, but what is the point your doing an excellent job in school!" kripa just stood there silent.

Josh's birthday had come near and it was time to party! "josh, we are having a birthday party for you tonight." "thanx dad," said a very happy josh. Kripa stood there eyes wide shock with anger and disappointment, and she mumbled to herself, "I turned 10 once, and he turned 12, he got a party but when I begged I didn't get one, why is life so unfair?"

FOUR YEARS LATER
Anjali came home and showed her progress report to suryaban. He was very happy. Kripa took a look and found lots of C's and F's, and he didn't yell at her, what was happening, was it a SIN TO BE THE MIDDLE CHILD? Kripa looked at suryaban with anger in her eyes, all those years of pain and anjali got nothing except for a good job hun, "dad, she got a lot of C's and F's and you didn't tell her to go back and change any?" suryaban looked at her, "well they arent the average grade he smiled," "I had told you the same thing and you used to yell, scream and hit me for getting a bad grade on an assignment and anjali here gets a "job well done" how come you don't yell at her and go make her make up for it?" "okay fine, anjali don't get anymore C's or F's," he said while laughing. Tears burst in kripa's eyes, she couldn't take it, and walked into her room, looked the door and cried her heart out.

Chapter 3:
"dad, can I go to the water park, please bhai got to go and I want to spend my last day with my friends, please." "no kripa you are not going, you are too old to go and do these childish things, and you will be going for five days, which I do not approve of." "lekin dad, …fine I wont go, happy." kripa left but with a broken heart she felt so jailed up at times, that it was unbearable.

A few months later, dad can I go to the amusement park with my class for my graduation class, even bro went and he came back perfectly fine and he only was gone for a few hours, so can I?" "no kripa, you can not go, go and read a book or something don't bother me I have work to do. Kripa left with yet again another broken heart, "hello hi ananya, actually im sorry I wont be able to make it, our family has other plans for the day, we are going for a picnic," she lied. "oh, its ok kripa, see you around, bye."

2 YEARS LATER***
Anjali went up to suryaban and asked, "dad, can I go to the water park, please bhai went and it was perfectly fine." "I…(is cut off). "surya, let her go naa, she is young and needs to explore the world." "okay fine my little princess, will go to the water park, happy now?" anjali smiled and said, "very!" kripa stood by the stairs out of sight as tears ran down her eyes, the same thing had yet happened again with her.

A few months later, anjali went up to surya and asked, "dad, can I go to the amusement park its my last day at school, and I wanted to go have fun, and plus im graduating from 6th grade so I should go?" suryaban smiled and said, "of course beta anything for you." tears ran down another girls eyes, this time the pain was too unbearable, her heart began aching, she wanted love she begged for love and sometimes she wondered even kids who were less fortunate then her were luckier, they at least had people who loved them, and here she was stuck in an house like an orphan, and then it hit her, she began wondering if she was an orphan or not. She walked into her room, closed the door and sat by the closet, thinking, "am I an orphan, that was adopted?"

Chapter 4:
She looked at herself in the mirror and then pictures of her parents, josh and anjali. She didn't look like them not one face feature matched, but josh and anjali looked alike. Her fear had come true today, she was an orphan, from the looks of it. She began getting depressed and thought of suicide a way out, but couldn't do it, she just couldn't.

Kripa went up to suryaban and began talking with him, when he got on her last nerve she had enough and stopped listening to him. She ran upstairs to her room and then heard him come upstairs. She closed the door but then he opened it. "what the hell is your problem, cant you let any of us live in peace?" he yelled at her. Tears started forming in kripa's eyes, as anger got the bit of her, "why the **** do you care, huh, even if I were to die, you wouldn't notice, you would be happy if I died?" he walked away and yelled, "go ahead and f***** die, I don't give a damn." she closed the door with a bang, locked it and fell asleep crying.

Tears ran down her eyes, she couldn't take it anymore, she got out of the bed and ran out to the balcony, and grabbed the bars for support. She felt a strong pair of hands on her waist, she wiped her tears and turned around. "um, angad tum, what are you doing here, you were sleeping?" angad looked at her red and weary eyes, "how can I sleep when the love of my life is in so much pain?" "kripa I will teach you the true meaning of life, I have had enough of your parents, and this is it!" he hugged her and calmed her down.

"hello kripa, yeah im angad, meet me at the park I have a surprise for you!" angad spoke. "okay angad im coming, let me just get ready." kripa turned around walked into the bathroom, got dressed and left for the park. She got out of her black BMW, and started walking towards the park when she saw her parents, she stopped dead in her tracks, all those moments were fresh again. when suddenly a truck came out of no where, hit her, and flipped her around and she landed with a thud on her back, blood began dripping from her body, her body was in such a position that it looked like she had broken all her bones. Angad watched in terror, his kripa was lying in the blood of pool, because of him, but when he turned around he saw them behind him, he had specifically warned them not to come out until she crossed the road. Anger rose to the tip of his nose, his kripa was dying because of her own parents?
