"Ye Naina kahan reh gayi!!! Maine kaha tha is se ki kahiin jaane ki zarurat nahi par………" His thought process was interrupted by a knock at the door. "Thank god!!"

But as he opened the door, he was shocked to see her left foot bleeding. "Ye kya hua??" He yelled as he took her in.

"Maine tumhe mana kiya tha Naina phir bhi tum………"

"Please Captain!! Mai yahan aapka saath dene aayi hun………and you told me it's gonna be difficult didn't you??"

He kept staring at her as she gave that curt reply, "Naina……tumhe darr nahi lagta??" He asked.

"Nahi……Ab to bilkul nahi" She looked straight into his eyes, completely forgot about her wound. Their vision deepened and so did its intensity. Suddenly Rajveer realized her pain and began providing first-aid.

"Kaise lagi??" He sounded concerned.

Naina was too busy looking at him to reply.

"Naina mai tumse…………kya hua??" He asked as he noticed her stare.

"Aapne kabhi socha hai, bhaiya ne mujhe is mission me kyun involve kiya??"

"Haan!! Kyunki vo pagal hai!!" He chuckled.

"Please Captain!! Step down to a serious note!!"

"I seriously mean it Naina………use tumhari jaan khatre me daalne ki bilkul zarurat nahi thi!!" He commented while continuing with the dressing.

"Ya shaayad vo chahte the ki…………"

"Ki………"

Their eyes locked again and Naina's smile said it all.

She was sitting outside her room with that memory spreading her lips into a beautiful smile. This new day seemed a usual one since she was totally unaware of what was to come her way. Within a matter of few minutes, Nandini approached her.

"Good Morning Naina!!"

She gave a faint smile in return.

"Tumhe pata hai, aaj hum sab picnic ke liye jaa rahe hain!!" Exclaimed Nandini. "Mai, tum, Captain Aalekh and Captain Ritu."

Naina's reaction wasn't a happy one but Nandini hardly noticed her frown.

"Tum taiyaar ho jana……bahut waqt ho gaya hai Naina, you need a change now!!! Aur please mana mat karna….."

Naina just nodded in affirmative.

"Good…..abhi mai chalti hun. Mr. Sinha hain naa, aaj unka beta unhe vapas lene aa raha hai, I need to help him with his packing."

Naina was happy to hear that news and Nandini went off.

Aalekh was sitting in his room……disturbed to hell. Sleep didn't surpass him last night and all he was thinking was, "Did I really not try to help Raj??" Just then, he heard a knock at the door.

"Come-in" He replied faintly, but finding Ritu on the other side was least expected.

"Hi Aalekh!!" She said while not being able to look into his eyes.

Both of them remained quiet for a while and complete silence prevailed.

"Vo mai…." Their words crashed as they started off together.

"I'm sorry Aalekh……kal mujhe tumse aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi." Confessed Ritu.

"Kuch galat bhi to nahi kaha tumne!!"

"Galat kaha…..please forgive me."

"Done that!! Tum bas taiyaar ho jaao. Yaad hai na aaj Naina se…."

"Aalekh…….tum is baat ko lekar naraaz to nahi ho na??" She interrupted.

"Mai naraaz nahi hun Ritu, it's just that I'm not sure of the consequences!!" He explained.

"I'll take care of that…."

"To chalein??"

They smiled and Ritu left to get ready.

The four of them boarded the car and started off for their day. They knew that this day was either to make it or break it. Naina could sense the unseen but her mind and soul was still too occupied with the past to react to the present. She remained quiet. They reached solitary house, located amidst the lap of nature. The calmness of the place was strikingly similar to Naina's quietude. She felt peaceful being there.

"So Naina, how's the place??" Asked Ritu.

Naina's lips gave way to a smile as she adored the beauty of the place. Nandini and Aalekh stepped up to the terrace of the cottage to escape Naina's sight whereas Ritu began building the right ambience to get the truth out off her.

"Come Naina!! Let's sit" She suggested. At the terrace, Nandini's eyes closed in a prayer that may help Naina get through all this.

"Naina, close your eyes for once!!"

Naina's smile disappeared. She perhaps got the hint of what she was being subjected to.

"Please Naina!!" This time, Naina gave in to her request.

"Kya dikhaye de raha hai?? Kya hua tha Naina??? Kis wajah se tum is tarah….." She stopped as she sensed Naina sinking deep into her past.

"Go Naina!!! Bhaag jaao yahan se!!! Aalekh take her away…………" He shouted.

Sweat began to take over as her heart became restless.

"Aalekh chodo mujhe…let me gooooo……" She yelled.

Her hands began clutching the grass in despair.

The terrorists shifted their target to her……and fired. But due to Aalekh's quick response, they missed it. Rajveer was raged to limits by the shot and there began his struggle to save HIS LIFE………NAINA!!!

Her restlessness grew and it was getting difficult for her to relive the most dreadful moment of her life.

"Aalekh Naina ko yahan se lekar jaao!!" He shouted at the pitch of his voice while cracking those racketeers.

She saw her love indulging in all that all over again. The violence and her past was getting on her nerves.

Aalekh didn't listen as he too stepped in to help. Naina too tried her best to contribute.

Just then, another of them held Naina on the gunpoint due to which, Rajveer and Aalekh had to stop. But as he tried to shoot, Rajveer interrupted his target and was shot!!!

"Raaaaaaajjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj" She yelled at the pitch of her voice. The birds fluttering in the vicinity flew off. Aalekh and Nandini came down and he held Naina by his side. Tears began flowing incessantly as Naina relived the biggest loss of her life. She clutched Aalekh tighter and cried hard. Ritu took the initiative and patted her. She too was down to tears at that sight.

"Sambhalo apne aap ko Naina….I know it's not easy but….." He didn't know what to say.

"Tumhara Raj tumhare paas vapas aa sakta hai Naina…." Ritu's statement came as music to Naina's ears. Her hope was strengthened.

"Mujhe khushi hai Naina ki ab tum bhi mera is mission me saath de paaogi. Tumhe koi andaaza nahi hai hum sab kitne khush hain tumhari aawaaz sunkar." She smiled.

It took sometime for Naina to regain her composure. Ritu suggested that she should be left alone for sometime and all did exactly the same. Naina sat beside a pond, not alone……but with the memories of her love!!! It was raining……….the heavens were crying too…..

"Captain………aapko baarish pasand hai??" Asked Naina.

Since she didn't receive any reply, she came and sat with him, "Kya hua?? Mera sawaal itna mushkil bhi nahi tha!!"

"Tum meri subordinate ho??"

"Nahi to………" She sounded confused.

"To phir kya tumhe mera naam pasand nahi??"

Naina smiled as she understood what he was trying to say, "Hey bhagwaan!! Mujhe laga tha army wale straight foreward hote hain!! Mujhe kya pata tha ki itna ghuma-phira ke baat karte hain"

Rajveer too smiled at her innocence.

"Ok so RAJ…………ab tum please bataoge ki tumhe baarish pasand hai ya nahi??"

"You know Naina, har vo insaan jise pyaar ho jaata hai, use baarish pasand hoti hai!!" He said while trying to suppress his smile.

"Haan but………one moment!! Did I hear the right words??" Said Naina mischeviously.

"Absolutely…"

"To ab ye bhi bata deejiye ki vo ladki kaun hai!!!" She said while getting up. But Rajveer held her hand back and took her into his arms……
