"Naina being a Journalist with Times Group, began her mission courageously. Usne Raj ko dhoondh bhi liya. Lekin jab Raj ne mujhse, Naina ko bachane ke liye madad maangi…….." Aalekh stopped as he knew the further would hurt her a lot.

"To kya hua??? Tum gaye vahan??" Ritu enquired.

"Haan gaya tha, but vahan, Raj….Raj akela nahi tha!! Us terrorist group ke kuch aadmi bhi the!!"

Ritu closed her eyes to gather courage to listen to more, "Tum bolo…"

"They tried targeting Naina!! But Raj didn't let them do that….he was shot instead!!"

"What!!! Raj theek to hai na???" She became hyper at that.

"I don't know Ritu…..he may be, he may not be…..aur Naina ki khamoshi ki wajah bhi shaayad yehi hai."

"Ho sakta hai!! Ek civilian hokar itna violence bear karna aasaan nahi…." She had tears in her eyes while saying that.

"She was with Raj for over six months Ritu. Sirf violence uski khamoshi ka kaaran nahi ho sakta!!"

She knew what Aalekh meant but it was difficult for her to admit that as she loved Rajveer. She tried changing the topic, "Chalein andar??" She hurriedly rushed out of the car.

Aalekh smiled inside, "I know it hurts Ritu….but sach to maan na he padega na….jaise maine ye maan liya hai ki tum meri kabhi nahi ho sakti!!" He smiled again and followed her to the reception.

"Naina tum hosh me to ho??? Jo tumne karne ka socha hai uske consequences ke baare me socha hai?? Do you know what it implies to support a person who is supposedly a traitor in the eyes of the administration??" Rajveer literally shouted at her.

"You're right!! SUPPOSEDLY a traitor!!" She sounded confident.

"Is supposedly ka matlab unke liye confirmation hai damn it!! If you're spotted with me anywhere then……"

"Zyaada se zyaada kya hoga??? We'll be hanged till death???" She retaliated.

Rajveer could see deep through those determined eyes. He was astounded to see a civilian like her talking about death fearlessly.

"To tum nahi maanogi??"

"Mai jeete ji apne bhaiya ko khushi ka ek bhi pal nahi de paayi Captain Shekhawat!! Ab mere haath me jo mauka hai mai use nahi khona chahti!!"

"Iska matlab samajhti ho?? Jabtak saare sabot humare haath nahi lag jaate, tumhe mere saaye ki tarah mere saath rehna hoga!! You'll have to be fast and strong as well."

Naina's smile said it all. She was ready to do anything and everything for her brother's mission now.

"Welcome Captain!!" Nandini greeted Aalekh.

"Nandini, meet Captain Ritu Mishra, my friend!!" Aalekh introduced.

Nandini acquired a confused look. Aalekh especially told her that Naina's identity was to be restricted to Aashiyana, but now he himself was allowing the secret to flow.

"Don't worry, I TRUST HER!!" Those words had weight.

Ritu smiled at him and Nandini just indicated him that Naina was in her room only. They paced up the stairs and as Ritu was about to open the door to Naina's room, Aalekh stopped her.

"Vo tumhe jaanti nahi hai…..let me go first!!! Actually vo…."

"I understand…" She smiled, gesturing him to go ahead.

Aalekh encountered complete darkness as he opened the door. There was no trace of light until it was allowed through the door. Naina was sitting on the floor with her back resting against the wall. The sudden light disturbed her concentration.

"Naina…." Aalekh called out. "Someone is here to meet you!!"

Naina stood up as Ritu entered. She stepped slowly towards her while Naina showed no reaction. She just kept looking at Ritu. Though unfamiliar, that face wasn't a complete stranger for her.

"Finally, kahiin to refuge mila!!" He sighed.

"Haan, par chaiin nahi!!" Explained Naina.

"Maine tumse pehle he kaha tha ki it's not gonna be easy!! Pat tum maani he nahi…"

"Acha hua nahi maani!!" She smiled.

"Vo kyun??"

"Vo aap abhi nahi samjhoge Captain!!"

"Tum samjhaogi to shaayad samajh jaaun!!"

"Ye sab chodiye!! Pehle bataiye ye kya hai??" She enquired showing him a small photograph.

"Ye tumhe kahan mila??"

"Aapke kitbag se gir gayi thi!!"

He smiled, "Ye humara gang tha!! Mai, Navin, Aalekh and Ritu!!" He stated while pointing towards the respective. "Tum muskura kyun rahi ho??"

"Dekh kar acha laga ki aajkal bhi aisi dosti exist karti hai jiski mehez yaad itni tensions ke beech bhi aapki muskurahat ki wajah ban paayi!!"

"Navin theek kehta tha!!" He smiled mischievously. "Naina tum bahut bolti ho."

"Hi Naina!! Mai Ritu" All this while, her thoughts had taken over her, so Ritu had to repeat. "Hum dost ban sakte hain??" She smiled.

Naina stepped aside and pushed out the curtains.

"That's better……even I was thinking of doing that!!" Said Ritu.

Naina looked at her and gave a faint smile.

"Kya mujhse do minute baat karna pasand karogi??" Ritu was constantly attempting to befriend her. Naina just came and sat beside her.

"Aalekh, kya mai kuch der……"

"That's ok!! Mai bahar wait karta hun" Saying this, he went out, pinning all his hopes on Ritu.

"Tum yahan bore nahi ho jaati Naina??? It has been more than a year!! Tumhe akelepan se darr nahi lagta??"

Naina still remained still……absolutely expressionless.

"Acha theek hai!! Bahar chalogi?? Let's go for a walk naa!!" But this attempt of hers too went in vain as she could sense Naina's clear disapproval.

After making a few more attempts, Ritu stepped outside, where she found Aalekh waiting eagerly.

"Kya hua?? Kuch kaha usne??" He enquired desperately.

"Nahi…" She answered in a low voice. "Itna aasaan nahi hai Aalekh!! She is still under a state of shock" She tried explaining it to him, but seeing his disappointed expression, she came up with something, "But one thing can be done for sure!!"

"What??" He still sounded hopeful.

"Hypnotism…..That's the only way to let Naina's feeling flow out!!"

"Tumhe lagta hai this could be of any help ensuring her mental status will not be further disturbed??"

Ritu remained quiet at this.

"That means it's risky right??" He enquired.

"Agar hum Raj ko innocent prove kana chahtey hain aur Naina ki haalat me sudhar lana chahte hain to itna risk to hue uthana he padega naa!!" She exclaimed.

"But I definitely won't suggest you that!!" Came a third voice.

"Aap??" Ritu wasn't too happy at her interference.

"She's Dr. Shalini Singhal, Chief Medical Consultant at Aashiyana" Explained Aalekh.

"And may I know the reason for your disapproval??" Ritu doesn't seem interested in the introduction.

"We've tried it out…..about 3 months back. And at that time, Naina went hyper out of her wits. She had to be injected down to calmness!!"

"WHAT???? And nobody bothered to ask for a permit???" It was Aalekh's turn to get hyper.

"May I explain this Captain??" Came Nandini. Aalekh gave her a stern look but she continued, "Agar aapko yaad ho to us waqt aap yahan the he nahi. Naina's health was deteriorating day by day and our physiatrists suggested on letting her speak her heart out. Humne bahut koshish ki ki Naina kuch kahe but her quietude persisted. We had to try all ways to ensure her well being. Aur sab kuch theek ho jaane ke baad aapko batane ka koi matlab nahi banta tha."

Aalekh was still angry but was convinced by Nandini's explanation. He cursed himself for his absence.

"But I still want to take the risk!!" Came the most unexpected comment from Ritu.

"Have you gone mad or what?? What the hell do you think you are doing??" Raged Aalekh.

"Trying my best…….which you didn't!!" She went foreward after saying that, not knowing how much it pinched him.
