Kripa blushed after the kiss, she didn't know if she should be happy or upset., but at the moment she knew she was happy. Angad also smiled, in high school he never would have imagined six years later he would be dating his best friend Kripa Sharma, but now he knew he wouldn't want to be with anyone else.

Angad- Kripa, look!
Kripa- Where?
A- Shooting star, look there!

Kripa looked at where Angad pointed, but missed it.
A- Darn, it's gone
K- Angad, don't waste time, make your wish
A- Wish? Come on, don't be silly, that stuff is for kids
K- Why? When you get older does the outcome of seeing a shooting star change?
A- Of coarse. When we're young you see it and make a wish, when you're older you see it and enjoy the view, nothing more n nothing less
K- Whatever, I don't believe that at all. I think we should never miss a chance to make a wish, because that's the only time you get to ask for anything you want and one day.....you'll get it.

Kripa stood up and folded her arms. She gave out her hand to Angad and he took it and stood up as well.

K- It's still not too late, make a wish
A- ........fine

Angad looked at Kripa smiling, he wished for her smile to never go away, he loved to see her happy, and for some reason, when she was happy then so was he.

K- Did you make your wish?
A- Yes boss, I made it, happy?
K- Very! Come on, let's go home
A- Already? It's only 10:30
K- I know, but Suman aunty could only baby-sit till eleven, you know she's old and can't stay up this late....
Angad laughed.
A- So Suman aunty is responsible for cutting my date short, I see.
K- So shall we go?
A- I don't think we have a choice, lets go

Angad walked Kripa to her house door.
K- Thanks, I ...I really had a lot of fun tonight
A- Of coarse you did, you were with Angad Khanna after all
Kripa rolled her eyes.
K- Angad!
A- Just kidding, I had a good time too

Angad lightly kissed Kripa on the lips and winked at her, which left Kripa breathless. He turned around and started leaving until she called out his name.
K- Angad

Angad turned around and looked at her.
K- Call me
A- Don't worry, I have you on speed dial
Kripa laughed and shook her head. She waved goodbye to him as he walked away smiling.

As she entered the house, she didn't know what was happening to her. She wanted to see him again, date him again, be with him more. When Kripa came Suman aunty left.. The kids were asleep and Kripa also went to her room and changed into her pajamas.

She wondered if she was doing the right thing by wanting to meet him more. What if he did find out about Rahul? But there was a big chance he wouldn't too. If they did end up together then her guilt about not telling Angad Rahul was his son would also lessen because Angad would be with his son and at the same time so would she.

While thinking through this all, she slowly fell asleep.

The next morning Angad woke up early. He made himself a cup of coffee and sat down on the dining table, before he knew it, Riya came and sat next to him.

A- What are you doing this early?
R- Nothing.....so tell me dad, how was your date!
A- Ohh, I see, you want the inside story, well I suggest you go back to sleep
R- Oh dad, please! Come on tell me, did you guys kiss?
A- I'll tell you when you're twice you're age
R- That means you did! Now you can get married and we can be a big happy family!
A- Wow, you move fast, I'm going to have to keep an eye on you when you're older
R- Dad! Anyways, when are you guys going on your second date?
A- Very soon, but for now, I have to go to work
R- But your always working
A- Well someone's got to pay the bills, right?
R- I guess...
A- Bye, tell the maid when you're hungry
Angad kissed Riya on the head and went to work, while Kripa was at the airport.

Kripa hated waiting for Prithvi. But Payal wanted to see Prithvi right away, so Kripa had no choice.

Rahul- Mom, when's dad coming, we've waited for forty-five minutes already
K- Well, his fight was delayed, but he should be coming any minute now
Payal- Oh, I just can't wait!

Kripa watched the people from his flight come out, slowly the last of the last even came out, but now Prithvi.

Rahul- Where is he?
Kripa- Erm...come with me

Kripa went towards the security gaurd who was the last one out of the plane.

Sec. Gaurd- Yes ma'am?
Kripa- Did everyone from that flight come out?
Sec. Gaurd- Yes, everyone did, are you guys waiting for someone?
Payal- Yes! We're waiting for my daddy, but he isn't here, can you check in the plane please?
The security gaurd looked at Payal and back at Kripa.

Sec. Guard- Ma'am, the plane is empty, we've checked, perhaps your husband missed----
K- He's not my husband.....but anyways, what were you saying?
Sec. Gaurd- I'm sorry, but I was saying maybe he missed the flight
K- hmm, thanks, ...I'll call him, thanks a lot
The security gaurd smiled and left.

Rahul- I'm not surprised, he probably never planned on coming anyways
Payal- Yes he did! He told me he did!
Rahul- You're so gullible
Kripa- Keep quiet Rahul

Kripa dialed Prithvi's number. He picked him.
Kripa- Prithvi, where are you?
- he's right here, but who are you?
Kripa heard a girl on the other line. She swallowed hard and spoke.
K- This is Kripa, give him the phone please
- Kripa? Kripa who, I mean----
Before the girl could speak further Prithvi took the phone from her.
Pr- oh, hey Kripa, I was just going to call you
Kripa got away from Payal and Rahul a bit so they couldn't hear their conversation.

K- How much are you going to lie Prithvi? You told the kids you were coming today, you promised.
Pr- I know Kripa, I'm sorry. But stuff came up.....you know how it is
K- Stuff? Stuff came up or a girl came up?
Pr- Oh, shut up Kripa, that was just a....friend
K- You shut up Prithvi. I'm sick of this. If you don't want to come, then you don't have to, but at least don't give my kids false hopes. You know, I was the one that was stupid, I should have known you were going to do something like this, but I thought maybe this time you changed and you would actually live up to your word, but me, I came with the kids to the airport to get you since Payal wanted to see her dad so bad---
Pr- Kripa, I said sorry, I can't fly half way across the world for a vacation when I have a multi-millionaire company on my shoulders
K- Then why the hell did you tell the kids you were going to?
Pr- Because then I thought I'd be able to make it, look, we should both just calm down. I'll mail them the gifts they wanted and just tell them an excuse or something, and tell them I'm trying my best to come next week or some---
K- Shut up, I'm sick of lying for you, and I'm not going to today, Just......urghh!

Kripa hung up and Payal and Rahul came to her.
Payal- Where's daddy? Why isn't he here, when's he going to come and---
Kripa kneeled down and looked into Payal's eyes.

K- Payal, Prithvi didn't come because.......he couldn't make it......he's stuck doing stuff
Payal- But he promised right?
K- Yes, but.......the truth of the fact is he's not here, and we can't change that
Payal- ..........mommy
K- hmm?
Payal- I really miss daddy

Payal started crying and Kripa hugged her.
K- Aww baby, don't cry. Look, you have me and you have Rahul. We love you a lot
Pa- So daddy must not love me
K- Don't say that, of coarse he loves you. Tell you what, let's go get some ice cream
Pa- No mommy, I don't want ice cream, I want my daddy
K- Payal stop it. Prithvi isn't coming, and I can't do anything about that!
Pa- I want daddy!
K- I said stop it Payal. How can I bring Prithvi to you when Prithvi himself doesn't make an effort to come? huh? Tell me
Pa- Can we go to daddy then?
K- What? No
Pa- Why?
K- Because Prithvi doesn't even stay in one place, he travels from one country to another daily.
Pa- why can't we travel with him?
Kripa stood up.
K- Come on, we're going home

Kripa took the kids home. Rahul wasn't too much bothered that Prithvi didn't come, but Payal was, but a week or so later she was back to normal. Kripa and Angad continued dating for a while. Angad fell in love with Kripa and Kripa's love for Angad also came back to life. Alliya and Josh had gotten married and went on a long honeymoon.

Angad called Kripa at work.

K- Hey
A- Hey, I'm going to pick you up from your house at 7 tonight, stay ready
K- How are you Kripa? Oh I'm good Angad, thanks for asking
A- Sorry, so how are you?
K- Angad, where are we going tonight?
A- You'll see
K- Another surprise?
A- I guess. But remember, 7 pm
K- Alright....7 sharp, but what should I wear, at least tell me that
A- Anything you want
K- Angad!
A- I love you, see you tonight
K- But Ang----
Before Kripa could speak further Angad wasn't on the line anymore. She sighed.

K- What?!
A- Will you marry me?
Kripa had tears in her eyes. She smiled and hugged and kissed him.
