o wait over there was getting painful more than that it was getting endless. All of them had to keep their hopes alive. They all knew that Naina will be fine but somewhere deep down there was an apprehension….what if…………?????? No one even wanted to think beyond that. Hours felt longer than usual….infact they were like ages. It was getting unbearable. All of them were pacing up & down, roaming here & there, walking to & fro & making desperate attempts to kill the time…..but the time over there seemed to be killing them.No one had anything to speak, none of them had anything to do, it was getting over them…..all they wish was if they could do something for Naina but there was nothing they could do….infact there was only one thing they could & actually they have been doing that for the past 24 hrs now………………wait & wait & wait & wait…………but doctors deadline still had 12 hours to go.

Eventually all of them dozed off while sitting on their chairs………..all of them except one…..Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat. He was in some other zone. The slow pace of Time didn't seem to affect him….something else was going on in his mind……something that he was not able to decide upon. Bt he knew a decision has to be taken.

He heard some footsteps & looked there……It was the doctor who has come to check Naina's condition. The doctors of the army hospital & Dr. Shalini were closely monitoring Naina. Rajveer shaked Shalini & she woke up. Rajveer told her that the doctors were inside & she also went in. She came back after 15 minutes discussed something with the doctor & then the doctor left. Shalini came to Rajveer & shook her head…………no good news yet ……..she is not showing any signs of improvement. Its not a good sign Captain. She is not even responding properly to the medicines……her condition is as it is & if it continues for a while things might worsen. Rajveer was worried…even he expected her to fite back……..but she was not doing dat.His heart was sinking & a fear was rising inside him……………..all he knew was that he didn't want anything to happen to her. He wanted to see her safe. He sat there for about half an hour thinking about Naina & seriously hoping that she recovers fast but something inside him was making him restless. Shalini noticed that.

"Captain, why don't you go inside to see her once……. you will feel better"

"U really think I should, doc"

"Of course Captain….please come with me."

Shalini rose but he didn't even move……..Shalini came back to him

"Captain…..lets go"

"I can't see her in that condition doc…..I wont be able to stand that. It hurts"

"No Captain, aisa kuch nahin hoga…infact you'll feel better if u sit next to her for some time"

"I m still not sure"

"Trust me Captain….just come inside"

Half-heartedly Raj followed her inside. She was right. He felt better to see Naina closely. He sat on the chair next to Naina's bed………..Naina looked so calm…..No tensions, no worries she had. It was good to see Naina so relaxed & a smile came on Rajeer's face. He sat there for a while just staring at her face…..then he took her hand in his own. A tear dropped from his eyes & he didn't cared about that. He need not hide that from anyone at that point of time…there was no one else than his best buddy & confidant who already knew everything…..he was at the luxury to be himself. He sat there like that for some time.

"Captain I think we should go outside……let her rest."

"May be you r rite……..she has been fighting for a very long time now….she must be tired. She does need some rest" said captain while holding her hand with one hand & wiping his tears with the other.

He finally got up about to leave……….he slowly tried to place her hand back at the bed & took a step but couldn't take another. He was shocked…something had happened but his senses denied accepting that………………………
