HELLOOO GUYS!!!

Don’t know how you all will find this one. If it’ll be up to your expectation or not. Let me know how you find it. I planned to add some more moments but couldn’t stop myself from writing these two moments in detail. And it kept lengthening. Don’t know if I was able to convey ShiVi’s thought or not. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to everyone who loved previous two parts.

PART 3

Two months later ,

Raavi walked into the Pandya house early morning lost in her own thoughts only to bump into a sleepy Krish. She frowned at his state but he walked away greeting her. She saw the other two boys still sleeping and went to the kitchen looking for Dhara. She greeted her dear Dii cheerfully and started chatting her helping her in between too. Few minutes later, Krish came there now fully awake.

“ek bat bata Krish, tu itni jaldi kaise utha aur kyun?”,

“Simple!! Bhabi ka haath batane”, Krish replied to Raavi as if it was the most obvious answer.

“Galat sawal Raavi. Isse puch iss baar iss ke kaun sa kand Gaumbhi se chupana hai!!!”,Dhara said mockingly. Krish gave a nervous smile proving Dhara right and Raavi looked at them amused.

“Accha matlab yeh sab hota hai yaha. Dii yeh sirf iss gadha ka trick haiyaa....”, Raavi couldn’t complete her sentence as Krish cut in teasingly,

“Ahhaa,dekho dekho kitna utabla ho rahi hai yeh Shiva ke bare me janne ke liye”, Raavi glared him - it's his life aim to tease her and Shiva! Dhara smacked him lightly,

“Shaitan!!Kitne baar bolu. Bhabi hai yeh tera. Aise nahi bolta bhabi se samjha?”,

“sorry sorry , Raavi BHABI” he teased again stressing the word bhabi,

“usse yaad aaya , Shiva aur Dev nahi utha na abhi bhi? Lagta hai mujhe hi jana padega”, Dhara said leaving the kitchen ,

“Raavi Bhabi ,you are in for treat today. Aaj pani pheka jayega aur tujhko woh haseen lamhe dekh ne ka mauka milega”, both smirked conspiringly. She did hear before about the ‘special treatments’ the boys receive from Dhara for their waking habits. Today she was going to witness it. How she wished it was her who would throw a bucket of water on that Shiva!!! Huh! Sweet revenge!!

Raavi came out of her la la land as Dhara threw a bucket of water on Shiva who was on the first cot. Hearing the splash of water , Dev who was on the corner jumped off his cot and quickly went away greeting everyone with an extra sweet smile. Krish and Raavi hi-fied each other and Dhara shook her head disapprovingly at the three. The actual recipient of water sat up slowly , wiped off his face and gave a gentle smile to Dhara.

“Bhabi aapko nah yeh roz karna chaiye. Fir mujhe roz nahna nahi padega”, His bhabi who was standing by his cot patiently slapped his head admonishing him. But Raavi scrunched up her nose hearing his definition of bath,

“Matlab tu roz aise, AISE nahta hai”, Shiva looked around hearing her voice and glared at her,

“Ae mami ke behan ki beti, tu subha subha aa gayi hume pakane”

“oo masi ke hone wale damad”, Krish gave out a low whistle , “Tu bole toh tujhe kuwe mein chubha ke dho bhi doo kiya?Mujhe toh aab samaj aaya tujhse joh batbu aata hai woh dukan ke vajase nahitera na nah neke vajese aata hai. Mujhe laga tu hafte me kam se kamek baar toh nahta hi hoga nah. Par tu toh...... Chee!!!!”, Shiva suddenly smirked at Raavi which made red alert go on her mind.

“Pata nehi aaj tujhe bohat gale lagane ka maan kar raha, mami ke behan ki beti!!” ,he emphasised on her name and started chasing her around as she shrieked and ran to not get caught by a dripping him.

“Dekh Shiva tu mere pass mat aa. Pura gila hai tu. I promise main tujhe agle do...nahi nahi chaar...chaar ghante taak aur tang nehi karungi, okay deal?”, they argued as they ran around the angan. Dhara and Krish laughed at their early morning Tom and Jerry show. Raavi quickly pulled Dhara in front of her trying to hide behind her,

“Aee mami ke behan ki beti, Bhabi ke piche kya chup rahi hai, samne aa”, then he just stopped and stared at the two lady – Dhara laughing and Raavi giving her famous colgate smile – did she think she had won!! He quickly hugged the two ladies together, wetting them as well in the process. Both squealed and tried to pull away but Shiva only grinned and shook his head for good measure, splaying more water on them from his hair. Krish secretly captured that moment in his phone.

“dekh Raavi, tere chakkar mein iss ne mujhe bhi gila kar diya. Main na mafi chahti hu,mujhe tum dono ke bich referee nahi banna”, Dhara scolded the couple. Raavi made a whining face , Shiva just smiled at her smugly,“ aur tu Shiva, pehle jaake nah ke aa. Main khana lagati hu. Fir tum dono mann lagake ladayi karna. Jaa aab”,Dhara literary pushed him out to avoid any further ’entertainment’.

In their engagement day, ShiVi marriage date was fixed after 2 months as suggested by the pandit. Suman and Dhara wanted to find a suitable bride for Dev by then so that the two brothers could get married on the same day. Krish jokingly suggested to get him married along with them stating ‘kitna kharcha, waqt aur shakti bach jayega’- it earned him several smack though. ShiVi waited for Dev to reveal about him and Rishita, even tried creating many chances for him indirectly but not understanding his motives, they decided to let him be.Shiva wanted to confront him about Rishita but Raavi suggested it would be better if they didn’t interfere. Dev avoided all the marriage topics saying he didn’t want to get married now. He wasn’t ready and promised he would tell Dhara when he felt he was ready. For now, he wanted to enjoy his brother’s wedding. It effectively stopped Suman and Dhara’s ‘bahu dhoondo’ mission. Instead they concentrated on ‘bahu lao mission’ that was the wedding of ShiVi.

Raavi initially thought it would be very difficult to forget her childhood love. For she had loved him for so long, ever since she could remember. Yes, it was quite difficult to say. First few weeks, she felt pained at the very sight of Dev. One interaction with him and she would be back to square one. But she was Raavi. She wouldn’t give up so easily. She would gather everything and start again. It became easier with passing times. That fateful day, she heard Dev claim his love with her own ears and it did leave her heart broken. But hearing it so clearly from Dev’s mouth made it easier for her to accept it all. Accept that Dev never thought her to be more than a friend, a relative. Accept that the love she assumed to be reciprocated was one sided all along. Accept that Dev wasn’t written on her fate. Accepting all that gave her more clarity on her surroundings. Slowly she could feel herself falling out of love. With time all pain stopped. Nowadays she didn’t feel all giddy and nervous around Dev like she used to feel earlier. She was passed all those feelings. She had started to see him as Dhara Di’s brother in law. May be, just may be, she would be able accept that he was her 'b-i-l' too. All these thoughts didn’t feel weird to her. So she understood she was moving on.

Shiva to his surprise found himself more around Raavi. He grew quite protective of her. Despite all his ‘I don’t care’ attitude, he started to care for her. May be he always cared for her, only he never realized it. It had become his habit to keep his eyes on her whenever she was around. No, it wasn’t love. Not yet. But he felt somewhere responsible for her. He felt it was up to him to make sure she was doing well. She still was mami ke behan ki beti though. Initially, there were times when seeing her all he could remember was his grudges against her aunt. It was his setback. Then he would get his clarity back and differentiate between Raavi and his mami. Slowly, he was able to see past those grudges. able to see her as she was, not as mami ke behan ki beti only.

In this two month, the dynamic between Shiva and Raavi changed a lot. No, they didn’t stop fighting, not at all. Instead it only intensified. But what changed in those fights was -Shiva’s insults were replaced by mere teasings. His heavy wordings changed into harmless taunts. They had slowly developed mutual respects for each other. Shiva observed her adoration and respect towards Dhara and his family, that made him respect her. Also they now started to share their thoughts with each other which they couldn’t tell anyone, not even to Dhara. She trusted him with all her inner turmoil on the current situation. He shared his doubts and concern regarding them and their family. In plain words, she was becoming his tree and he her diary. They were found together more and more. They still felt alien to the idea of being married to each other. But they had to accept it someday, both really hoped that someday would come sooner. What they did accept was each other. The fact they had to be together and be with each other in every situation from then on. You could neither call them friends nor enemies. They were companions who chose to stay by each other despite their differences.

They had two weeks to ShiVi marriage. So ,that day they were to start the wedding preparation officially. Dhara and Raavi were to go to shopping that day and Krish accompanied them. By late afternoon all three had returned home utterly exhausted. Krish promised to never accompany Raavi again for shopping , for she had driven him mad with her antics. Dhara went to check her mother in law while Krish went to watch TV. Feeling sleep was the most essential for her now, Raavi just sauntered to Shiva’s cot and fell asleep. Shiva was home early as he had to check on the progress on the room that was being added on the upper floor for him and Raavi. They planned to add two more rooms following ShiVI’s wedding for Dev and Krish. When he came down bidding the workers for that day, he found a lump on his cot. Frowning he pulled the cover up and saw Raavi there sleeping with an open mouth. He shook his head at her antics, dropped the blanket on her again and sat down on the step there.

Krish came there literary bouncing up and down. He gave a bright smile to Shiva who in return frowned receiving another all toothy smile. Now suspicious, Shiva turned to him fully and raised his eyebrow. Krish excitedly asked him,

“Shiva,ek bat batana. Kisiko agar pyar ho jaye toh woh kaise samjhega??”, Shiva scowled at his question, what kind of question was that? why he was asking him?? What to answer?!

“tujhe koi aur nahi mila yeh behuda sawal karne ke liye!”,

“le..”, Krish let out a exasperated sigh making Shiva scowl at him some more,

“kya le”,

“ghar mein tu hi hain ek lauta jiska love marriage ho raha hai. Aab main yeh tujhse na puchu toh kisse puchu? Dev se!!”,

“usi sehi toh puchna chaiye.Uske ke chakkar mein main kaha fas gaya” , Shiva muttered under his breath

“kuch kaha tune?”,

“nahi aur apna yeh bekar sawal ka pitara utha aur jaa yaha se” Shiva tried to push him away to save the situation. But Krish was also his brother, an adamant mule like him,

“kya shiva batana, tujhe kaise ehsaas hua ki tujhe Raavi se pyar hai!!”,

“ Iss ladke ki toh.....”, whatever he was going to say was left incomplete by Raavi, who suddenly immersed from the depth of his blanket, startling krish and peered at the boys curiously

“pyar??? kisse kahase? Krish tu pyar ke baare mein puch raha tha na??”

“yeh kaha se aagayi?”, Krish nervously rubbed his left eyebrow,

“zindagi mein pehli baar iss nautanki ke entry pe khushi aa rahi hai”, Shiva said under his breath relieved,

“kya tujhe kisise pyar ho gaya hai!!! Aur tu itna jaruri baat mujhe ya Dhara di ko batane ki jaga iss masi ki hone wala damad ko bata raha hai”, Shiva turned to glare her but she ignored him, “ tu rukh main abhi Dhara di ko bata ti hu”, she sat up to prove her point,

“ arreh nahi nahi Raavi Bhabi, aise kuch nahi hai”

“Accah!! sach sach bata ha,varna jaa rahi hu Dhara di ke paas”,

“nahi nahi ,suno, par tum dono yeh kisi ko nahi bataoge”

Shiva rolled his eyes as the two excitedly gossiped about Krish’s latest crush. Even though the situation was well controlled still he couldn't help exhale a sigh as he listened the duo- Where did he get stuck!!!
