Chalo, in some alternate universe, there is no pandemic and people are enjoying without the hassle of masks, social distancing and all.

I had a big smile reading about Viv enjoying the NYE.

Raanav and his friends cheering her while she was dancing surely made me happy.

Lekha is just plain jealous that her "middle class, nerdy, plain " SIL is getting so much attention while she probably not.

LOL who told her dancing is "Middle class thing". Has she not seen Nita Ambani dance on her kid's weddings?

Raanav watched her watch the drop

Raanav is looking at the world now from her perspective. Earlier too, when he was talking to Naina, he thought how he looks at journalists or photographers differently than earlier, all thanks to his wife.

What does Raanav have that belongs to her, apart from her dil? ❤️

PS: Did Viveka wear the saree which Chachi had gifted her on her wedding day?

Chacha coming back to the picture reminded me of Chachi and the saree.

Viveka, being an economist, has always imagined raanav to be an elitist, someone who hates being with the working class.

She fails to see Raanav , for the person he really is, maybe because her judgement is clouded due to smrita.

But though raanav has been a mamma's boy, he has been educated outside of india, had middle class gFs and is mostly more open-minded rather than behaving accordingly to dos and donts of how wealthy should behave.

Always thought Rakshit would stand out like his father, but its Raanav despite being his mom favorite, that stands out stellarly as the Satyen's apt son.

Though in many instances, I may have clouded judgement for Raanav, he does shine brighter than Rakshit( despite being Satyen fav kid) in putting his forthrightness (just like Satyen!), be it proposing Viveka hand to her parents, in telling his mother off and in putting Viveka in spotlight for not telling him about the rejection. Silly of me to think just like vi that he will have a big office with glass table and a lion sculpture at his feet.🤣

Oh yeah, the heart is definitely with him. Is he talking about the lost earring? When did he figure out it was hers?

Lekha could not stand seeing Rakshit complimenting Viveka. Ignore the jealous jabs Viveka. Lekha can't compete with the likes of you.

Nisha, you portray events of day to day life in a unique canvas. You have a specific place and culture that you set each story:/character .The characters you sketch are human , never larger than life. I have tried to check if there is a viveka Mathur in DU . To me your writing is so relatable. The aah moments , the humor, the irony , the poignant moment are all a treat.

Even though I don’t know anybody , it’s insightful to read others reactions to the events as well.

After every update , there is always the “and then” to wonder and ponder.
