Chapter 7:

Ranbir's Home

Ranbir returned home and immediately tried calling Aryan, but the call went unanswered. Concerned, he decided to check on Aryan himself. As he entered Aryan’s room, he was shocked to see him wrapped in bandages.

"Bro, what happened?" Ranbir asked, alarmed.

Aryan tried to downplay it. "Nothing, just a minor accident on my way to college today."

Ranbir frowned. "How is that possible? Prachi’s best driver had an accident? Were you not paying attention?"

Aryan’s mind flashed back to Priyanka’s words about Shahana’s engagement with Rishi. His grip on the handlebars had loosened at that moment, and he had lost control. But he quickly brushed off the thought. "No, nothing like that," he said, avoiding Ranbir’s eyes.

Ranbir wasn’t convinced. "Wait a minute! My bro is upset… which means he likes someone, and she’s ignoring him. That’s why he’s in this mood!" He smirked. "Awww!"

Aryan groaned. "Just shut up! First, you filled my head with all that nonsense about heartbeats, and then—" He stopped abruptly, realizing he was about to say too much.

Ranbir’s eyes widened with curiosity. "Tell me! Tell me! Who is she? Who is she?"

Aryan looked away. "There’s nobody. Now stop bugging me. Let’s talk about you instead. When are you going to take things forward with Rhea?"

Ranbir’s face fell. His thoughts drifted to the past few days—how his heart had raced in Prachi’s presence, how they had been stuck together in the office, how they had laughed and played at the dhaba, and how he had been mesmerized when he draped the dupatta over her. His voice was quiet when he finally answered, "Soon."

Aryan narrowed his eyes. "Dude… is there someone else in your life besides Rhea?"

Ranbir hesitated, but then firmly replied, "No."

Aryan gave him a knowing look. "Ranbir, I think you're confused. Look, don’t rush into any decisions. I know Rhea is the most attractive girl you could ask for, but before committing, ask yourself—do you really want her in your life?"

Ranbir didn’t respond, lost in thought.

Prachi and Shahana’s Room

Shahana huffed in frustration. "I don’t understand what world Aryan was in! He didn’t even see that huge pit in front of him, and because of him, I got hurt too!"

Prachi smirked. "I thought someone wanted to impress Aryan. Someone even asked me to lend my clothes for that."

Shahana blushed. "Prachi! I never wanted to impress Aryan! I just… He’s a nice guy, that’s all. I mean, he stood up for me against those rich, spoiled brats Dinky and Shaina at his parents’ anniversary. But that doesn’t mean I like him!"

Prachi raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you thinking about him now?"

Shahana crossed her arms. "When did I say I was thinking about him?"

Prachi giggled. "When you miss someone, you say their name without realizing it. And today, the moment I walked in, you didn’t even ask me how my day was or if I was doing okay. You went straight to talking about Aryan."

Shahana quickly changed the subject. "Okay, forget about me. Tell me, is everything okay between you and Ranbir now?"

Prachi’s smile faded as she recalled her past conversations with Ranbir. She nodded. "You were right, Shahana. Ranbir is a good guy. I misunderstood him a lot."

Shahana grinned. "See? I told you! And I think someone has started liking Ranbir."

Prachi shot her a glare. "Shahana, there’s nothing like that, okay? It’s just that… Ranbir has become more bearable for me now."

Shahana smirked. "Ohhh, ‘he’s bearable now’?" She teased, dragging the words out.

Prachi grabbed a pillow and playfully hit her.

"Ouch, that hurt, Prachi!" Shahana whined dramatically.

Prachi’s face turned concerned. "Are you okay?"

Shahana burst into laughter. "I was just kidding!"

Prachi rolled her eyes, and soon, both girls were laughing together.

Next Day – Mehra Mansion

Priyanka walked into Abhi’s room with a serious expression. "Chucks, I need to talk to you."

Abhi looked up from his work. "Yes, Priyanka? What is it?"

Priyanka’s voice trembled. "Chucks, I think we need to bring Rishi back into the company."

Abhi’s face darkened. "What? After everything he did to you?"

Tears welled up in Priyanka’s eyes. "Chucks, Rishi called me. He said if I don’t help him get his job back, he’ll make the news about my molestation public." She sniffled. "If that happens, my life will be ruined. I don’t think I can handle it… I might even—" She paused dramatically. "I might even end my life."

Abhi’s protective instincts kicked in immediately. "Don’t say such things, Priyanka!" He exhaled deeply. "Fine, I’ll reinstate him, but you’re not doing any more internships in our company. Understood?"

Priyanka quickly wiped away her fake tears and nodded. "Yes, Chucks. And there’s one more thing."

Abhi sighed. "What now?"

"I assigned the costume designing project for the international concert organized by Fusion Beats to a designer named Sunil Sharma."

Abhi looked stunned. "What? Priyanka, you didn’t even ask me before making such a decision!"

Priyanka defended herself. "Chucks, he’s a fresher, but he’s the best! I personally saw his designs, and they were incredible!"

Abhi shook his head. "I’ll think about it."

Priyanka smiled. "No need to think, Chucks. I already asked him to meet you this morning."

Abhi frowned. "What’s his name again?"

"Sunil Sharma."

Abhi sighed. "Fine, I’ll meet him today." He walked off.

As soon as he was out of sight, Priyanka smirked to herself. "One part of my plan is done. The other part—Rhea—has already given her approval. Pragya, I’m going to destroy your daughters’ lives very soon."

Chapter 8:

In earlier chapters, we were introduced to Sunny and Kiara and their painful past. In the upcoming episodes, we will delve deeper into their significance in the unfolding saga of love and rivalry between the siblings.

Mehra Mansion

Priyanka enters Rhea's room and asks, “What changed? You were hesitant about my plan before, but now you’ve suddenly agreed. Why?”

Rhea recalls the sight of Ranbir and Prachi together and remembers Aliyah’s words—that her mother, a mere middle-class woman, ruined her Booji’s life by bringing a third woman into his marriage. Snapping out of her thoughts, she tells Priyanka, “I can’t take any risks with Prachi. I won’t let her come between me and Ranbir.”

Priyanka smirks. “Good. You’ve made the right decision, Rhea. Now, tell me—who is that guy who’s in love with Prachi?”

Rhea rolls her eyes. “Sanju. He and his good-for-nothing brother are always lurking around our college, trying to get Prachi’s attention. But so far, they’ve failed miserably.”

Priyanka’s eyes gleam with mischief. “Can we meet them today?”

Rhea hesitates but nods. “Yeah, I’ll take you to them.”

Priyanka leans in, whispering, “Soon, Prachi’s heart will shatter so badly that she’ll be out of your way forever. And then, Ranbir will be yours—and yours alone.”

Rhea forces a smile, but deep down, unease settles in her heart.

Abhi’s Office

Seated in his office, Abhi replays Priyanka’s words about Rishi in his mind. I have to do something about this guy… he could be a danger to any girl in the future. His thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. His secretary enters and informs him, “Sir, a Mr. Sunil Sharma is here to meet you.”

Abhi gestures for him to be let in. Sunny steps inside, overwhelmed at the sight of Abhi. His eyes brim with unshed tears as he thinks, You haven’t changed at all, Chachu.

Without looking up, Abhi says, “Our company has a reputation for hiring only the best. We rarely offer positions to freshers, especially for a project as significant as Costume Designing for the International Concert. Yet, Priyanka recommended you.”

Sunny recalls Priyanka’s conditions for giving him this opportunity. Keeping a straight face, he replies, “Perhaps she recognized that I’m the best fit for the job.”

Abhi finally looks up at him, surprised by his confidence. “Overconfident, aren’t you?”

Sunny smiles. “Confidence is key to success, Sir. Whether we win or fail, we need the confidence to face whatever comes our way.”

Abhi stiffens. A memory flashes before his eyes—a younger him saying these very words to Kiara and Sunny. The moment tugs at his heartstrings, leaving him shaken.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he clears his throat. “Well, I must admit, you have a good approach to life. Credit goes to your parents for raising you well.”

A sad smile plays on Sunny’s lips. “I built this attitude myself, Sir. I had no one to teach me how to navigate life… because I’m an orphan.”

Abhi is momentarily speechless. Regaining his composure, he asks Sunny to show his designs. As he flips through them, admiration flickers in his eyes. “I must say… Priyanka made the right choice. Your designs are truly unique.”

Sunny smiles. “Thank you, Sir.”

Abhi nods. “Meet Mr. Purab Khanna and Mr. Vikram Kohli for the job details. I expect you to live up to my expectations.”

Sunny stands up, confidence radiating off him. “I won’t disappoint you, Sir.” He exits, leaving Abhi in deep thought.

Vikram’s Office

Sunny steps into Vikram’s cabin, and Vikram studies him curiously. “You’re young—about my son’s age. Impressive. Convincing Mr. Mehra to hire a fresher for such a crucial project isn’t easy. You must be really talented. I should tell my son to take lessons from you.”

Sunny chuckles. “Thank you, Sir. Mr. Mehra asked me to get my job details from you and Mr. Khanna.”

Vikram leans back. “I’m handling event management, venue selection, and participant coordination. You’ll be focusing on costume designs. For the finer details, you’ll need to speak with Mr. Khanna.”

Sunny nods. As he turns to leave, something crosses his mind. “Sir, you mentioned you’re selecting the venue. Have you finalized one?”

Vikram lets out a sigh. “That’s the biggest headache! Since this is the Diwali season, all the prime venues were booked months ago. We signed the deal for this concert only last month—finding a suitable venue now is next to impossible.”

Sunny smiles. “Sir, if I may suggest something…”

Vikram raises an eyebrow. “Go ahead.”

Sunny continues, “The primary audience for such concerts is today’s youth. If we host this event at the college where Mr. Mehra’s daughter and Mr. Khanna’s son study, it would be a guaranteed success.”

Vikram’s eyes widen. “That’s brilliant! Even before starting, you’re already impressing your boss—not bad!”

Sunny smirks. “Thank you, Sir.”

Vikram nods excitedly. “I’ll discuss it with Mr. Mehra right away. In fact, we can schedule the concert on the same day as the Fashion Event—during Diwali.”

Sunny leaves with a knowing grin. That makes my plan even easier.

Mehra Mansion

Aryan heads downstairs, calling out, “Ranbir, stop with the touch-ups! We’re going to college, not a fashion show!”

Without looking, he bumps into Mishti, who stumbles and falls into his arms. He quickly straightens her up, wincing from his injury. “Seriously? You and your brother are obsessed with fashion! If you can’t walk in heels, why even wear them? To impress guys?”

Mishti huffs. “Excuse me? I don’t need to impress anyone—I already look great. I was just practicing for the Fashion Event.”

Aryan’s brows shoot up. “What? Since when?”

Mishti smirks. “Since Rhea signed up! So, Bhabhi and Nanad are competing together.”

Aryan chuckles. “All the best, then.”

Mishti grins. “Thanks!” Just then, Ranbir arrives, eyeing them suspiciously. “What’s going on here? Aryan, are you flirting with my sister?”

Aryan scoffs. “Dude, I’m not you.”

Ranbir narrows his eyes. “Spending too much time with Prachi has made you sound just like her. Now, can we go?”

Aryan nods. “Yeah, but let me check with Dad first. He’s been a little paranoid after my accident.”

Pragya’s House

The telephone rings. Madhu answers and calls out, “Rishi, it’s your boss.”

Rishi, having breakfast with the family, takes the call. Pragya watches him closely.

Abhi’s voice booms through the receiver. “I know you’ve been blackmailing Priyanka to get your job back. But let me tell you something—I’m not rehiring you out of fear. I love my niece, and I won’t let anything happen to her. So listen carefully… you start work today.”

Before Rishi can respond, Abhi hangs up.

Rishi stands frozen, troubled by Abhi’s words. Pragya notices his unease, concern flickering in her eyes.

Purab and Sunny are seen in FLASHBACK, Sunny asks “PAPPA, when I become big will I work for your COMPANY”, Purab answers “Well, I don’t know that, it depends on you and your PASSION, do you like managing and handling business deals??? No, it is too boring to do that, “Then what does my lil’boy like????”, Sunny thinks for some time and then answers cheerfully, “Well I love to decide the style of dresses, PAPPA, you always wear these BORING suits, Look at ABHI CHACHU, his dresses are so cool, when I become big PAPPA, I will make much more stylish dresses for YOU and ABHI CHACHU”. Purab smiles and answers “Okay, then I think we don’t have to look for any other costume designer for our company, because my Mr. JUNIOR KHANNA has taken in-charge”. The father-son duo laugh. Fb ends.

Sunny gives a sad smile and thinks to himself “Today, I have achieved my dream to become the costume designer of FUSION BEATS, but not as Mr. JUNIOR KHANNA but as someone else. Just as Sunny continues to stare emotionally at FUSION BEATS, Purab comes out of the office, talking on his cell phone. At once, Sunny forgets all his anger and hatred for his dad and open his mouth to call out “PAPPA”, when from the other side there is a voice “DAD”. Purab turns his back towards SUNNY and is shocked to see Aryan in an injured state, helped by a stranger. Purab restlessly asks him “Aryan, what is all this???? What happened?? How did you get hurt???” Aryan answers “Calm down dad!!! I have just scratched my elbow and my knees!!!”, Purab gets angry “What scratches???, look at the way you are bleeding!!! Will you tell me what happened???”. Sunny is deeply saddened seeing Purab’s care and concern for Aryan. Aryan answers “Actually Dad while going for basketball coaching, I didn’t notice a pit on my way, squid my bike and fell.” Purab continues “What is this Aryan, can’t you be careful, come here, sit and have some water!! And why you didn’t go to a hospital??, Aryan justifies “Dad since your office was near, I asked this man to drop me till here and thought to get help from you.” Purab stops him “What rubbish!!! Aryan you are Mr. JUNIOR KHANNA”. Sunny is in tears on hearing that. Purab continues “You don’t need your DAD, anyone in this city would be glad to help you!!! Come let me take you to the hospital, did you inform Mom about this incident”. Aryan denies “No dad, she is already stressed, and I didn’t want her to get worried more”, Purab says “Yeah I know, just give her some other reason when she asks you about your injuries”. Aryan tells him “Fine, DAD”.

As they leave, Sunny still in tears, gets thinking “WOW PAPPA, you are a good and proud father of one son, do you even know you have another son too??? Now I will show the PAIN of being a FATHER!!! I will make ARYAN fall so LOW in your eyes, that you will regret every day of your LIFE of being a FATHER to such a HUMAN-BEING” And I know what I have to do for that.

In Abhi’s Office

Ranbir comes tells Prachi, I have settled everything with DAD and listen you need not work overtime to complete all that he has asked to do, you can go home and take rest and prepare for the FASHION EVENT. I will handle your part of work or give it some other staff. As Ranbir starts to leave, Prachi calls him and asks “COFFEE???” Ranbir is surprised “WHAT?????? The girl who pushed me yesterday when asked to drink is herself asking to have a coffee with her now, REALLY!!!! Prachi justifies “See, I really felt bad of not behaving well with you, when actually you were planning Gulaal’s birthday and after that we got locked together in this OFFICE and at that time I realised you are not really a FLIRT as I’m always misunderstanding you to be, today when you and Aryan were helping me with the FASHION EVENT, I felt what you said yesterday was TRUE”, Ranbir is puzzled “What did I say yesterday???” Prachi says “THAT YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON”. Ranbir is impressed, he looks smilingly into PRACHI’S EYES. And after seeing Rhea over here with you in the night, I understood that you have no interest in girls like me.” Ranbir sniffs around and says “Oh ho!!! I can breathe smoke here I think SOMEONE is JEALOUS!!!” Prachi shakes her head, she says “I think we also agreed yesterday to become “FRIENDS”, at least to irritate each other, So does this friend of mine want to drink a COFFEE” Ranbir says “Of course, why not???” Prachi goes forward, Ranbir looks smilingly at her from behind and follows her.

At Pragya’s House

As she continues to think about Rhea, she gets thoughtful, I didn’t see Mr. Mehra at the restaurant, did he even notice my message, I really need to talk to him about the depressed condition of Rhea, he needs to take care of her. Oh ho!!! How did I miss him??? Then she remembers how she had met Abhi and recalls the romantic moments she spent with him the previous night, she keeps thinking and smiles as ALLAH WARIAH plays in the background.

Just then Saritha behen and Rishi enter helping SHAHANA, Pragya is shocked to see Shahana in bandages, she asks “What happened Shahana???? How come, you are hurt???” Sarita behen interferes and says, “Oh that rich spoilt brat, is the cause of everything!!!” Pragya asks “Who???”. Shahana stops Sarita behen, “Oh leave it nah! Maasi, it wasn’t really his fault” Sarita behen says “What not his fault?? These RICH people think, they can play however they want with the poor and middle class!!!” Rishi and Pragya are reminded of Priyanka’s words and look at each other. Pragya is extremely tensed and says to Shahana “I have already lost two daughters, now I can’t let anything happen to you or Prachi!!!” Everyone else present there is shocked and puzzled about whom Pragya is talking. Pragya says I meant I have already gone through the fear of losing my two daughters and can’t let anything happen to them. Everyone leaves their gazes down. Pragya slowly retires to her ROOM.

In Pragya’s room, Pragya gets thinking about Kiara, She says “MAMMA really misses you a lot KIARA, if you were with me, then me and your dada together with your two younger sisters would have all have stayed together, Mamma wouldn’t have seen your dada in that inebriated state yesterday. He really misses me a lot and I too miss him very much, but 20 years BACK we came together because of YOU and we got separated because of YOU, you shouldn’t have left us, you shouldn’t have left us” Pragya cries bitterly.

Mussorie, 35 km approx. from Delhi

A young woman is seen from behind walking on the streets with a bag of books hanging on her shoulder. She goes and plays with kids coming out of schools, blows bubbles from a man selling the bubble bottles and slowly goes inside a SMALL HOUSE and calls out MAMMA!!! Tanu is revealed from the other side,,,,”Years back you LOST your daughter PRAGYA and the same day when you lost her, I became her mother. She is not your KIARA anymore Pragya, she is my DAUGHTER, my RAKHI”””she smirks.

Guys I had a small mistake in the previous episodes as describing Rishi’s grandmother as Daljit while her actual name is Sarita behen only, this was the first introduction of KIARA, you will get to know more of her in the later episodes

The episode starts with Ranbir coming with Prachi, Aryan and Mishti to their college, just then Shahana arrives with Rishi on his bike. Rishi goes to his office after bidding her adieu. Aryan’s smile disappears when he sees Shahana with Rishi. Prachi calls out Shahana, comes nears her and whispers into her ears “Shahana are you two-timing???”, Shahana does not get her “What timing???”, Prachi tells her “Two timing or double timing means seeing two guys together at one time”, Shahana is embarrassed “What rubbish Prachi??? Have you lost your mind???” Prachi continues “First you asked me to lend you my dress for impressing Aryan, then you kept fighting with Rishi so that no other girl sees him, then yesterday, you were really missing Aryan a lot and today I see you coming together in bike with Rishi like two lovers; What is cooking Shahana??? You like Rishi or Aryan???” Shahana is frustrated and shouts “Just stop it Prachi neither do I like Rishi” nor Shahana turns back facing Aryan and blurts out “I LIKE ARYAN” looking into his eyes; Ranbir is surprised “What you like my bro Aryan???” Shahana feels weird and tells Ranbir “This Prachi was pulling my legs with Aryan; so, I told her…” Ranbir asks “What did you say???” Shahana tells him “I told Prachi that HE IS NOT MY TYPE”, Aryan fumes while Ranbir laughs “Bhai, what an insult?” Then he asks Aryan in his ears “Is Shahana the reason you were upset yesterday???” Aryan vents out his anger “Oh come on, I hardly look at GIRLS like her!!!! Girls who non-stop bleat like SHEEP!!!” He imitates a sheep “Mein, Mein, Mein” Shahana gets angry “ If I’m a sheep, then you are a MONKEY and a NB ie a No-Brain guy” Prachi tries to calm her down “Stop Shahana, why are you arguing unnecessarily with him??” While Ranbir tells Aryan “Bro, when I stopped fighting with Prachi, why are you fighting with Shahana???”. But Shahana-Aryan don’t listen to them and continue arguing pushing the two to the middle facing each other, Prachi-Ranbir constantly bump into each other and have a romantic gaze at each other. Mishti comes and calls out “Aryan I need your help, can you come with me???” Ranbir tells “Thanks, sis”; Mishti comes forward and takes Aryan catching him by his hands, Shahana feels jealous, she follows them. Ranbir asks “Don’t you want any more help for your fashion show costumes???” Prachi tells him, “Looks like someone is fine with hearing LECTURES” Ranbir says “I thought we are friends now, so it is okay to listen to lectures and advices from friends.” Prachi “Okay come to our house this evening, me and Shahana are going to be alone that time, Mom and Sarita Auntie are going to do Diwali Shopping, Rishi is going to be late from office and Madhu Auntie is on leave today”, Ranbir tells her “That’s great, I will be there with Aryan this evening”. Then the two of them leave towards their classes in opposite directions while constantly looking back at each other smilingly.

At Mussorie, Tanu’s House

It’s raining heavily. Rakhi thinks “Oh God, the weather is so bad today and no one is at home, hope grandma is fine.” Someone knocks at the door, Rakhi gets scared, however she gathers up her courage and goes to open the door. Nikhil had come. Rakhi is surprised “Pappa, why are you here, is everything alright in the hospital???” Nikhil asks “What?? Who is in hospital” Rakhi could smell stale breath from his mouth and understood he is heavily drunk and has no information about her grandmother’s condition!” She asks him to come inside and take rest while she prepares supper for him. Nikhil goes to his room, while Rakhi goes to the kitchen to prepare the supper. After a few minutes. Rakhi feels two hands around her waist; Nikhil has clutched her tightly from behind and tells her “I never knew my little girl has grown so big” and turns her towards him catches her around the mouth and tells her “and so beautiful”, she loosens his grip and tells “Pappa, what are you doing??? Go and sit on the table, I will bring your supper!!”. Nikhil moves forward and hugs Rakhi tightly and kisses on her neck saying “Pappa, loves you a lot baby!!!” Rakhi gets angry and pushes him “Just leave me Pappa, you are a dirty man!!!” Nikhil gets violent “Oh really!!!! I’m a dirty MAN!!! Then I will show what it is to be dirty!!! He takes his full strength and tries to force himself on her, while Rakhi constantly pleads and tries to save herself. Finally, she lifts her leg and kicks hard onto his dick. He falls down groaning. Rakhi shouts at him “Yuck, I’m ashamed to be called your daughter, you have such dirty eyes!!! You are not a man but an animal!!!” She turns to leave but he puts his leg forward and makes her fall. She falls down hitting her forehead on the floor; her vision blurs and she feels weak. She tries to escape using the rest of her strength, but Nikhil catches her and pulls her towards his bed. He tells “I’ve waiting for so many years for this moment”. He tears her clothes and pounces on her disrobed body. Rakhi struggles to stop what is happening, but then she loses conscious.

Chapter 9:

At Pragya’s House

Pragya looked at Rishi with concern. “Is everything alright?”

Rishi sighed, his voice laced with sadness and confusion. “No, Maasi. Priyanka told her uncle that I’ve been blackmailing her to get my job back.”

Pragya’s eyes widened in shock. “What?! That girl has stooped to an unimaginable low. She keeps claiming she ‘loves you,’ yet she has no regard for your feelings. And her uncle… he’s so protective of her, yet she’s manipulating him too. What are you going to do now?”

Rishi hesitated for a moment before replying, “I think I should go back to work.”

Pragya’s worry deepened. “But why, Rishi? That could put you in even greater danger.”

Rishi met her gaze firmly. “Maasi, what’s the point of sitting idle in fear? If we keep holding ourselves back, afraid of what might happen, evil will continue to find ways to suppress us. We have to stand up and fight back so that people like Priyanka don’t get the chance to ruin our lives. I need to face her and put an end to this once and for all.”

Pragya sighed, understanding his determination. “You’re right, but remember—she has already accused you of molestation. No one in this house knows about it except me. Are you sure it’s safe to work in the same office as her?”

Rishi thought for a moment before responding. “I know it’s risky, but Priyanka’s uncle believes I’m guilty. That means he’ll be even more cautious about her this time. He told me he’s rehiring me not because he’s scared, but because he loves Priyanka. I doubt she’ll try her dirty tricks again under his watch.”

Pragya nodded reluctantly. “Alright, but we need to find evidence of your innocence as soon as possible. Priyanka’s obsession is dangerous—she could go to any extent to get what she wants. Be careful.”

“I will, Maasi,” Rishi assured her.

Just then, Sarita Behen entered, looking concerned. “Rishi, what happened? Did your boss call and scold you for taking so many days off? Serves you right! Who told you to play cricket in the middle of the night and injure yourself? Look at me—I’m worried sick, and even your office people are getting impatient!”

Rishi sighed, shaking his head, while Pragya suppressed a smile.

Sarita Behen continued dramatically, “Why are you troubling your poor grandmother at this age? You’re all I have now! Before you came, I was alone. Then Pragya and her daughters came, and my life changed. But if anything happens to you—”

Pragya gently interrupted. “Sarita Behen, don’t think like that. Your grandson is a strong man—nothing will happen to him.”

Sarita Behen relaxed slightly. “Alright, get ready and go to work. And take Shahana to college on your way. Poor girl still has a slight pain in her ankle. Prachi left early to pick up a file from her office.”

Rishi nodded. “Okay, Nani.”

As he headed to his room, Pragya remained deep in thought. Priyanka is dangerous. And what did she mean when she mentioned Prachi and Rhea over the phone? I just hope she’s not planning something against them…

At Abhi’s Office

Sunny knocked on Purab’s door.

Without looking up from his laptop, Purab gestured for him to enter. “Come in and have a seat.”

Sunny stepped forward, staring at the man he once called Pappa.

Purab continued, still focused on his screen. “So, you’re the new costume designer for Fusion Beats?”

Sunny’s heart clenched, but he forced a smile. “Yes, Sir.”

Purab finally looked up, nodding. “Abhi and Vikram already informed me about you, and Vikram also mentioned your venue suggestion. It’s a good idea. Abhi will discuss it with the college management soon.”

Sunny smirked slightly. Of course, he will. That plays right into my plan.

Purab went on, “Now, regarding the costume designs—”

Before he could finish, his phone rang. It was Aryan.

As Purab answered the call, Sunny absentmindedly picked up a pen from the desk and started pressing it into his palm, his grip tightening with every word.

“Aryan, is everything okay?” Purab asked with concern.

On the other end, Aryan’s cheerful voice responded, “No worries, Dad! Just calling to let you know I’m heading to college.”

Purab frowned. “So soon? You should’ve taken a few more days of rest.”

Sunny’s grip on the pen tightened further, the sharp tip pressing deeper into his skin.

“Dad, I’m fine! Ranbir’s with me. If I need help, I’ll ask him,” Aryan assured.

“Alright, take care,” Purab said, sighing.

As he ended the call, he turned back to Sunny, only to notice drops of blood staining the floor. His eyes widened.

“Your hand—”

Sunny abruptly stood up, stuffing his bleeding hand into his pocket. “It’s fine, Sir.” His voice was cold. “I don’t have a father to take care of me. I can take care of myself.”

Purab was taken aback by the words, staring at the bloodstains on the floor as Sunny walked away.

Outside Abhi’s Office

Prachi rushed out, clutching her file, while Ranbir was hurrying in. Neither noticed the other—until they collided headfirst.

“Ow!” they cried in unison, clutching their heads.

From the jeep, Aryan and Mishti burst into laughter.

Ranbir groaned. “Your head is heavy! Where were you even looking?”

Prachi winced, rubbing her forehead. “I was in a hurry to get to college—I wasn’t paying attention!”

Ranbir stared at her, stunned.

Prachi frowned. “What? Did I say something wrong?”

Ranbir smirked. “Are you feeling okay?”

“What do you mean?” she asked, confused.

Ranbir folded his arms. “You’ve never apologized to me before.”

Prachi froze, realizing he was right. Why am I suddenly apologizing to this idiot?

Both of them spoke at the same time. “We need to hit our heads again.”

They laughed as they playfully bumped their foreheads together once more.

Prachi smiled. “My mom says if two people accidentally hit their heads, they should do it again to avoid bad luck.”

Ranbir grinned. “What a coincidence. Chief says the same thing. So, shall we?”

They lightly tapped their heads again, sharing a moment of quiet laughter and an unspoken connection.

Ranbir cleared his throat. “You can come with us, but just a heads-up—I’m driving today. Your ‘best driver’ Aryan isn’t in a condition to drive.”

Prachi shrugged. “That’s fine. I don’t mind.”

Ranbir stared at her in disbelief. “What?!

Prachi looked away. “I’ve been scolding you so much about your reckless driving, but lately, you’ve actually started driving carefully. That shows you care about others. And honestly… you don’t need to change. You’re not as bad as I thought.”

Ranbir was taken aback, his gaze softening as he watched her walk toward the jeep.

Mishti shouted, “Bhai, we’re getting late!”

Snapping out of his daze, Ranbir called after Prachi. “Go ahead, I’ll be right there.”

He stood for a moment, processing her words before following her to the jeep.

In Mussoorie – Tanu’s House

Tanu answered her ringing phone, her face paling.

Rakhi, noticing her reaction, asked, “What happened, Mamma?”

Tanu’s voice trembled. “Your grandmother… she had an attack while returning from the temple. She’s been admitted to the hospital. I need to go right away.”

Rakhi immediately said, “I’m coming with you.”

But Tanu shook her head. “No. Someone needs to stay at home while everyone is at the hospital.”

Tanu quickly called Sunil, gathering information about the situation before rushing out.

Left alone in the house, Rakhi sighed, an uneasy feeling settling over her.

Chapter 10

This chapter is a deeply painful and tragic moment in Kiara's journey. I have based this part of the story on a real-life incident I came across in the news last month. The online link to the original incident is provided below. While this episode may leave many of you feeling heartbroken and disturbed, I want to assure you that justice will be served—something I had wished for the real-life victim. Through my character, Rakhi, also known as Kiara, I hope to bring forth the justice that should have been granted. This story will not end in despair but with a strong and positive resolution to the injustice inflicted upon Kiara.

--------

Ranbir arrives at college with Prachi, Aryan, and Mishti, just as Shahana pulls up on Rishi’s bike. After bidding her farewell, Rishi heads toward his office. Aryan’s smile fades the moment he sees Shahana with Rishi.

Prachi walks up to Shahana and whispers, "Are you two-timing?"

Shahana looks confused. "What timing?"

Prachi smirks. "Two-timing, as in dating two guys at once."

Shahana's eyes widen in disbelief. "What rubbish, Prachi? Have you lost your mind?"

Prachi teases, "First, you borrowed my dress to impress Aryan. Then, you kept fighting with Rishi so no other girl would approach him. Yesterday, you were missing Aryan like crazy, and today, you're arriving at college with Rishi like a couple. So tell me, Shahana—who is it? Aryan or Rishi?"

Shahana, frustrated, exclaims, "Just stop it, Prachi! I don’t like Rishi!" She suddenly turns around, locking eyes with Aryan, and blurts out, "I LIKE ARYAN!"

Ranbir's eyes widen. "Wait, what? You like my bro Aryan?"

Realizing what she just said, Shahana panics and quickly covers up, "This Prachi was teasing me about Aryan, so I just said—"

Ranbir grins. "Said what?"

Shahana quickly adds, "I said he’s not my type."

Aryan's expression darkens while Ranbir bursts into laughter. "Bhai, that was brutal!" He then leans toward Aryan and whispers, "Is this why you were in a mood yesterday?"

Aryan, annoyed, snaps, "Oh, come on! I don’t even look at girls like her—girls who never stop bleating like sheep!" He mocks her, "Meh! Meh! Meh!"

Shahana, fuming, retorts, "If I’m a sheep, then you’re a monkey! A complete NB—No Brain guy!"

Prachi tries to calm her down. "Shahana, stop fighting with him over nothing."

Ranbir, amused, tells Aryan, "Bro, when I stopped fighting with Prachi, why are you picking fights with Shahana?"

But Aryan and Shahana continue their argument, pushing Ranbir and Prachi toward the middle. In the chaos, Ranbir and Prachi repeatedly bump into each other, leading to an unexpected moment of eye contact—a gaze filled with unspoken emotions.

Mishti interrupts, calling out, "Aryan, I need your help. Can you come with me?"

Ranbir sighs in relief. "Thank you, sis."

Mishti takes Aryan’s hand and drags him away. Shahana watches, feeling a twinge of jealousy and instinctively follows them.

Ranbir turns to Prachi. "So, do you still need help with your fashion show costumes?"

Prachi smirks. "Looks like someone is willing to listen to lectures now."

Ranbir shrugs. "I thought we were friends now. Friends listen to each other’s advice, right?"

Prachi smiles. "Okay, then. Come over this evening. Shahana and I will be home alone—Mom and Sarita Auntie are going Diwali shopping, Rishi will be late from work, and Madhu Auntie is on leave."

Ranbir grins. "Perfect! I’ll bring Aryan along."

As they walk toward their classes in opposite directions, they steal glances at each other, smiling.

Mussorie – Tanu’s House

The heavy rain lashes against the windows. Rakhi hugs herself and thinks, The weather is terrible, and I’m alone at home. I hope Grandma is okay.

A sudden knock on the door startles her. Taking a deep breath, she gathers her courage and opens it. To her surprise, Nikhil is standing there.

"Pappa? Why are you here? Is everything alright at the hospital?"

Nikhil stares at her blankly. "Hospital? What hospital?"

Rakhi immediately catches the stale scent of alcohol on his breath. He’s completely drunk! He doesn’t even know about Grandma!

She sighs. "Come inside, Pappa. You should rest. I’ll make you some supper."

Nikhil staggers into his room while Rakhi heads to the kitchen. As she prepares the food, she suddenly feels two hands wrap around her waist. Her breath catches in her throat.

"Pappa?" Her voice trembles.

Nikhil’s grip tightens as he whispers, "I never realized my little girl has grown up so much." He turns her around, cupping her face. "And so beautiful."

Rakhi freezes in horror. She shoves his hands away. "Pappa, what are you doing? Go sit at the table—I’ll bring your food."

But Nikhil doesn’t stop. He steps closer, trapping her against the counter, his breath hot against her skin. "Pappa loves you, baby." His lips press against her neck.

Rakhi’s stomach churns. Disgust and fear rise inside her. Summoning all her strength, she shoves him away. "Leave me, Pappa! You’re disgusting!"

Nikhil’s eyes darken. His expression twists in rage. "Oh, really? I’m disgusting? Then let me show you what disgusting really means!"

With brute force, he lunges at her, pinning her against the kitchen wall. Rakhi thrashes, screaming for help, but the storm outside drowns out her cries.

Her heart pounds. Desperation fuels her next move—she lifts her knee and slams it hard into his groin.

Nikhil collapses onto the floor, groaning in pain.

Rakhi glares at him, tears streaming down her face. "I’m ashamed to call you my father! You’re not a man—you’re a monster!"

She turns to escape, but he sticks out his foot, tripping her. She falls, hitting her head against the floor. A sharp pain shoots through her skull. Her vision blurs.

Struggling to crawl away, she barely registers Nikhil’s laughter as he grabs her ankles and drags her toward the bed.

"I’ve waited years for this moment," he slurs.

Dazed and weak, she tries to crawl away. But he grabs her, dragging her toward his bed.

A wicked grin spreads across his face. “I’ve waited years for this moment,” he whispers.

He rips at her clothes. She screams, struggling with all the strength left in her. But then—darkness consumes her.

She loses consciousness.

-----------

To be continued.

Writing this episode was one of the most emotionally challenging experiences for me. Last month, I came across a real-life case similar to this, and it left me deeply disturbed. While writing, I found myself stepping into Kiara's shoes, feeling every ounce of her fear, pain, and helplessness.

Just imagine the countless women who have suffered this same horror—violated by those meant to protect them. It’s heartbreaking, yet it happens far too often.

Chapter 11

At the College

Shahana keeps glaring at Aryan and Mishti, who are sitting together. She thinks to herself, "Why is this Aryan stuck to that girl like Fevicol? Doesn't he have any shame?" As she continues spying on them, Rhea's friends, Dinky and Shaina, take notice and approach her.

"What are you doing here?" Dinky questions.

Shahana, caught off guard, quickly covers up. "Oh, I was just admiring Mishti's dress. Isn't it pretty?" she says before slipping away.

Dinky and Shaina exchange a look, sensing something suspicious. Without wasting time, they go to Rhea and inform her.

Dinky starts, "Remember your booji's anniversary? When I told you I liked Aryan, you advised me to stay away because your booji wants 'class' in her future daughter-in-law?"

Rhea raises an eyebrow. "So what now?"

Shaina smirks. "Well, we just found someone who definitely doesn't fit into your booji's definition of 'class'—and she's eyeing your cousin brother."

Rhea looks confused. "Who are you talking about?"

Dinky reveals, "Your enemy Prachi's sister—Shahana!"

Rhea's eyes widen. "What?!?"

Dinky nods. "Yes, we saw her staring at Aryan and Mishti like she was jealous of them."

Rhea is taken aback. Aliya and Priyanka's words flash through her mind. She clenches her fists, thinking, "My mother ruined my booji's life. I won't let Prachi or her sister interfere in mine—or Aryan's. If Shahana has feelings for Aryan, I need to stop her before he starts reciprocating. I have to do something."

At Tanu's House, Mussorie

Rakhi regains consciousness, only to be met with the horrifying realization of what happened the previous night. Overwhelmed by grief and shame, she lets out a gut-wrenching scream.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Miles away, as Pragya cuts vegetables in her kitchen, the knife slips, nicking her finger. She winces and holds her hand, a strange uneasiness washing over her. "Why do I feel like someone close to me is in deep pain?" she wonders.

At Abhi's Office

Rishi arrives at the office and asks the peon if Mr. Mehra is available. The peon nods, signaling that Abhi is free. Just as Rishi is about to enter, he accidentally bumps into a young man.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you," Rishi apologizes.

The man smiles. "It's alright," he replies and introduces himself. "I'm Sunil, a costume designer."

Rishi introduces himself as well. As he walks into Abhi's office, Sunil watches him leave with an amused expression. "So, this is the guy I'm supposed to spy on," he thinks, smirking.

Inside Abhi's Cabin

Rishi steps in hesitantly, and Abhi shoots him a sharp glare.

"I already told you the only reason I allowed you back here," Abhi says coldly. "Priyanka is no longer part of this company, but let me make one thing very clear—if you ever behave with another woman the way you did with Priyanka, there will be no one worse than me. Understood?"

Rishi meets his gaze and nods. "Yes, sir."

Before leaving, he pauses at the door. "Sir, I know you won't believe me, but I have the right to share my side of the story too."

Abhi looks impatient, but Rishi continues.

"The truth is, Priyanka molested me."

Abhi's eyes widen in shock, but his heart refuses to accept Rishi's claim.

Rishi presses on. "Even if you don't believe me, I needed to say it—because your niece is manipulating both of us in her web of lies. And my maasi is fighting for justice just like Lord Ram did. Diwali is a festival of victory over injustice, and I hope that this Diwali, you recognize the true Raavan and open your eyes to the truth."

With that, Rishi walks out, leaving Abhi in turmoil. He clenches his jaw, his mind swirling. "If Rishi is lying, there's nothing to worry about. But if he's telling the truth... it means Pragya was right all along, and I—doubted her? Blamed her for siding with the wrong? Oh, God... what is happening? I need to talk to Pragya."

Outside Abhi's Office

Disha arrives, heading toward Abhi's cabin. From a distance, Sunny spots her and immediately stiffens.

"Ma? Why is she here? I can't let her see me. If she recognizes me, it will ruin everything!"

Just then, Purab steps out of his cabin. Their eyes meet, and a wave of emotions crashes over them. Purab recalls seeing Disha with Hritik, while Disha remembers his closeness to Aliya at the anniversary party.

Sunny watches them from afar. "What's left to say, Mr. Purab Khanna? You already broke her heart into pieces."

Inside Abhi's Cabin

Abhi's lost in thought when Disha's sudden appearance surprises him.

"You won't believe this, but I'm handling the media coverage for your international concert and Diwali fashion show," she informs him.

Abhi brightens up. "That's great news, Disha! I just hope nothing disastrous happens this time. Every event I organize brings some kind of chaos—drug scandals, terrorist attacks, kidnappings—you name it!"

Disha gives him a knowing look. "This Diwali, I hope that your Sita reunites with her Ram."

Abhi freezes.

Disha continues, "I know there have always been differences between you and Pragya Di. But there's also love—a love stronger than any obstacle. Just listen to your heart, Jiju, and think—is Pragya Di really wrong?"

She leaves, and Abhi finds himself lost in thought.

Outside the Office

As Disha is leaving, Purab stops her.

"Disha, we need to talk," he pleads.

"But I don't want to talk to you," she snaps, walking away.

Purab follows her. "Disha, please!"

She ignores him.

Frustrated, he finally shouts, "Disha—I need to know about our son! Sunny!"

Disha halts mid-step.

Purab steps closer, his voice softer yet desperate. "Disha... Sunny is my son too. And as his father, I deserve to know where he is."

At Pragya's House

Ranbir and Aryan arrive at Pragya's house.

"Dude, why did you drag me here?" Aryan complains. "I cannot tolerate that Shahana!"

Ranbir smirks. "Relax, bro. We're here to help Prachi, not Shahana. And isn't Prachi your favorite?"

Aryan sighs. "Yeah, fine."

Prachi opens the door and welcomes them in. Shahana appears, and Ranbir greets her, nudging Aryan.

Aryan deliberately ignores Shahana and instead says, "Hi, Prachi!"

Shahana frowns.

Ranbir quickly changes the subject. "The whole neighborhood is bursting crackers for Diwali. Why aren't you guys celebrating?"

Prachi shrugs. "We've always been scared of crackers. I love watching flowerpots and sparklers, but I never had the courage to burst them. Mom and I used to watch from a distance. And Shahana? She was even worse—she'd hide under the pillow whenever someone burst a bomb!"

Aryan smirks. "Typical. Sheep are always silly!"

Shahana glares. "And monkeys are always irritating!"

They start bickering again.

Ranbir interrupts, turning to Prachi. "Come on! I'll teach you how to burst flowerpots and sparklers!"

He takes her hand, and Prachi's heart races. They lock eyes, lost in the moment.

"Shall we?" he asks.

Prachi nods, and as they light the sparklers together, Ranbir holds her hands throughout.

Meanwhile, outside, a loud atom bomb bursts. Shahana panics and clings to Aryan, burying her face in his chest. Aryan tries to push her away, but then—unexpectedly—he finds himself hugging her back.

Chapter 12

Tanu's House, Mussorie

Tanu, Sunil, and Mrs. Sood return home after getting Mrs. Sood discharged from the hospital. As soon as they enter, Tanu calls out for Rakhi, but there is no response. She calls again, yet the silence remains. Frowning, she wonders where Rakhi could be and heads inside to check. What she sees next leaves her utterly shocked. Sunil, who follows behind, is equally horrified. He rushes forward to check on Rakhi, while Tanu, piecing things together, storms into her bedroom.

Inside, she finds Nikhil lounging comfortably, indulging in his pipe, a cloud of smoke surrounding him. Enraged, she strides toward him and slaps him hard across the face before slamming the door shut.

“What did you do to her?” she demands furiously.

Nikhil chuckles darkly. “She means nothing to you, Tanu. And I’ve been waiting for years to satisfy a hunger I couldn’t fulfill with you. Finally, last night, I got my chance.”

Tanu's blood boils. “Have you lost your mind? She’s your daughter in the eyes of society! Do you realize the disaster you’ve brought upon us? How will you fix this mess?” she hisses. Lowering her voice, she adds, “Don’t forget—she is Kiara Mehra, Rockstar Abhishek Mehra’s daughter. If they get a hint of what you’ve done, do you think you’ll walk away unscathed?”

Nikhil smirks. “That’s where you come in, my dear Tanu. You’ve controlled her for the past twenty years, ensuring she remained in the shadows. I trust you’ll continue to do so.”

Tanu clenches her fists. “I have to act fast. I can’t let Rakhi expose this and put everything at risk.”

Rakhi’s Room

Rakhi sobs uncontrollably, clinging to Sunil for support. The weight of what has happened crushes her, leaving her inconsolable.

Tanu enters and signals Sunil to step outside. The moment she sees her, Rakhi rushes into her arms, crying, “Mamma!”

Tanu feigns concern, gently patting her back. Then, in a low, calculated tone, she whispers, “Rakhi, you must not speak a word about what happened. No one must know.”

Rakhi stiffens, disbelief washing over her. “Mamma, how could you say that?”

Tanu’s voice remains calm yet firm. “First of all, the one at fault is your father—my husband. Secondly, he wasn’t in his senses; he was heavily intoxicated. And lastly, we must keep this quiet to protect our family’s reputation. Our honor is in your hands, and I trust you will do what is right.”

Rakhi is left speechless. Her mother’s words cut deeper than any wound.

Observing her silence, Tanu breathes a sigh of relief. “Good. She’s quiet, which means she won’t go against me.” Wiping away her fake tears, she turns away, hiding a sinister smile.

But as soon as Tanu leaves, Rakhi’s expression hardens. “I’m sorry, Mamma. This time, I won’t obey you. For you, family honor is everything, but for me, my self-respect is my greatest pride. I refuse to stay silent. I will expose my father’s crime so that no other woman has to suffer like me. And I know exactly where I need to go—Delhi.”

Abhi’s House

Dasi stands before the temple, her hands folded in prayer. “Oh Lord, Abhi and Pragya have been separated for twenty years. Just as Ram and Sita returned to Ayodhya on Diwali, please send someone who can reunite my Abhi and Pragya.”

At that very moment, Rakhi steps off a bus in Delhi. She glances up at the signboard—New Delhi.

Tanu’s House, Mussorie

Tanu frantically searches for Rakhi, but she is nowhere to be found. In a fit of rage, she hurls a vase to the floor, shattering it into pieces.

“How did she escape? How could she escape?” she screams.

Outside Fusion Beats

Disha and Purab stand face to face, emotions running high.

“Sunny is only my son!” Disha declares.

Purab’s voice rises with frustration. “You can’t deny that I’m his father!”

“Yes, I can!” Disha retorts. “You cheated me! You cheated your own son! You lost every right to call yourself his father!”

Purab pleads, “Disha, please… just tell me where he is.”

Disha’s eyes burn with pain and anger. “You have no idea what your eldest son has been through. Because you were never there for him.”

Purab grips her shoulders. “You took him away from me!”

Disha smiles bitterly. “No, Purab. You distanced yourself from your own son when you chose someone else over us.”

Purab releases her, stunned by her words.

Disha steps back, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Wish your wife and younger son a Happy Diwali, Mr. Purab Khanna.” With that, she walks away.

Inside, Purab wipes his tears while Sunny watches from a distance, his mind racing.

Pragya’s House

Ranbir and Prachi work together on decorations while Aryan and Shahana handle another task.

Aryan smirks. “You know, I should thank you—I never thought I’d learn how to stitch.”

Shahana sighs. “I should be the one apologizing. Sarita Auntie scolded you badly—she didn’t know who you were.”

Aryan raises an eyebrow. “What about your fiancé, Rishi?”

Shahana looks at him, shocked. “Who told you that Rishi is my fiancé?”

“Priyanka,” Aryan replies. “She said you two are engaged.”

Shahana scoffs. “That was just an act. Priyanka was behaving strangely, calling Rishi her ex. I played along to keep her in check.”

Aryan narrows his eyes. “Then why did he carry you in his arms the other day? And drop you off at college on his bike?”

Shahana huffs. “Why are you interrogating me like you’re my husband?” Then, crossing her arms, she adds, “Besides, you were practically glued to Mishti today like a piece of chewing gum.”

Aryan looks stunned. “Come on! Mishti is Ranbir’s sister, which makes her like a sister to me too! Admit it—you were jealous.”

Shahana glares. “And what about you? Were you not jealous of Rishi?”

Their argument continues until Ranbir intervenes. “Guys, focus! We’re working for Prachi, remember?”

They both fall silent.

Aryan, relieved to know that Rishi isn’t Shahana’s fiancé, hides a smile. At the same time, Shahana feels a sense of satisfaction knowing Aryan considers Mishti like a sister.

Chapter 13

At Abhi's House

Priyanka asks Rhea, "So, did you talk to Chucks about organizing a Diwali party at our house?"

Rhea replies, "At first, Dad wasn’t really keen on the idea, but then, all of a sudden, he was completely on board! You won’t believe what he said—he’s planning to meet my mother that same day!"

Priyanka raises an eyebrow. "And did you refuse to meet her?"

Rhea shakes her head. "No. Since you told me to focus entirely on Prachi, I didn’t bring it up. But honestly, I’m not happy about meeting my mom."

Priyanka reassures her, "That’s okay, Rhea. Even if you meet her, your dad might behave well because he still loves her. But you don’t have to—because you don’t love her, right? Stay calm and keep your focus on Prachi."

Rhea nods. "You’re right."

Priyanka smirks. "So, shall we go meet those two guys? What were their names again?"

"Sanju and Rohit," Rhea responds.

"Yeah, let’s go," Priyanka says, her eyes gleaming with mischief. As Rhea heads out, Priyanka’s smirk deepens. Now watch, Pragya. I’ll shatter your elder daughter’s self-respect so completely that you’ll be forced to push your younger daughter, Shahana, away from my Rishi.

At Sanju and Rohit's House

Rohit sighs in frustration. "Bhai, how much longer do we have to wait for Bhabhi? When will we finally take her to Hoshiarpur? I’m sick of being stuck in Delhi!"

Sanju groans. "I don’t know what kind of cursed fate I have! Even Goddess Lakshmi has stopped helping me. And all those efforts to impress Prachi’s Nani? Useless! All I’ve done is lose my money!" He buries his face in his hands.

Just then, Priyanka steps in, her voice smooth and confident. "Looks like your luck is about to change this Diwali."

Rohit and Sanju turn to see her, puzzled. "Who’s this Lakshmi ji?" Rohit asks Rhea.

Rhea replies, "She’s my sister, Priyanka."

Priyanka eyes Sanju. "So, you really love Prachi, don’t you?"

Rohit scoffs. "Love? Madamji, I traveled all the way from Hoshiarpur just to meet her! And I’ve been stuck in this filthy place for a whole month! I haven’t even spoken to her once. At first, Lakshmiji here promised to help, but now even she’s ignoring me!"

Priyanka chuckles. "Well, I have a plan that will make sure you get to take Prachi back home with you."

Sanju's eyes light up. "Really? What is it?"

Priyanka begins explaining her plan. As she does, Rhea’s expression turns tense.

Once Priyanka finishes, Rohit hesitates. "But, madamji, isn’t this risky?"

Priyanka’s voice turns cold. "If you want Prachi, you have to take the risk."

Sanju, determined, nods. "Fine. I’ll do it. When should we carry out the plan?"

Priyanka smiles wickedly. "Tomorrow. During the Diwali party at Mehra Mansion."

Sanju frowns. "But how will we get inside?"

"Leave that to me," Priyanka assures him. "Just be ready."

Sanju grins. "Yes, madamji!"

As Priyanka smirks, she thinks to herself, Pragya, this Diwali will be unforgettable for you and your daughters.

At Abhi's Office

Abhi dials Pragya’s number. She hesitates before answering, wondering why he’s calling.

"Listen," Abhi says excitedly, "I have a brilliant plan for us to meet our daughters together!"

Pragya’s heart skips a beat. "What is it?"

"Our daughter asked me to organize a Diwali party. So, tomorrow, we’re having a grand celebration!"

Pragya’s smile fades instantly as memories of Priyanka’s threats to Shahana flood her mind.

Abhi senses her hesitation. "What happened? Aren’t you happy?"

Pragya sighs. "Is a party really necessary for our reunion?"

Abhi’s voice softens. "Pragya, for twenty years—ever since you left me—I’ve never celebrated Diwali. How could I, when this Ram was incomplete without his Sita? But this year, when Ram and Sita are finally reuniting, I want it to be special… for us, and for our daughters."

A lump forms in Pragya’s throat. After a pause, she finally says, "Fine. I’ll come with our daughter."

Abhi’s voice fills with warmth. "And I’ll be waiting with the other one."

Both of them grow emotional as Allah Wariyan plays in the background.

Pragya blinks back tears. "Now please, hang up."

Abhi chuckles. "Bye, Pragya."

As the call ends, a sense of unease settles over Pragya. Her instincts warn her—there’s danger lurking at Mehra Mansion.

In South Delhi, R.K. Puram

Rakhi enters St. Thomas Church, kneels before the altar, and prays with tear-filled eyes. "Lord, I’ve come seeking justice. Please, show me the way."

A kind nun notices her distress and approaches. "What troubles you, my child?"

Overwhelmed, Rakhi pours out everything that has happened to her. The nun listens, horrified. Her eyes soften with sympathy. "You don’t have to go through this alone. Stay here with us at the convent."

Grateful, Rakhi nods. "Thank you, Sister."

The nun gently takes her hand. "Come, I’ll show you your room."

As Rakhi follows, she turns back to look at the crucifix and whispers, "Thank you, Lord."

At Abhi’s House

Ranbir bounces a ball against his bedroom wall, lost in thought.

Aryan enters and notices his friend’s troubled expression. "What’s up, bro?"

Ranbir replays his friends’ remarks in his mind—You’re attracted to Prachi! Rhea’s furious that you gave your heart to someone else! And Prachi? She said she hates you… that there’s nothing between you two.

Still deep in thought, he asks Aryan, "How do you know if you’re attracted to someone?"

Aryan’s eyes widen in panic. He immediately recalls their past conversation about heartbeats—how he himself has been feeling weird around Shahana lately.

"Will you stop with this nonsense about heartbeats, attraction, and all that crap?" Aryan snaps. "You’re dragging me into—" He stops abruptly, realizing he’s about to give himself away.

Ranbir narrows his eyes. "Dragging you into what?" A slow smirk spreads across his face. "Wait a minute… you like someone, don’t you?"

Aryan stammers, "Shut up! I don’t like anyone!"

Ranbir crosses his arms. "Don’t lie. The only girl you’d never be attracted to is Shahana. So, who is it?"

Aryan’s mind races. Oh god. How do I tell him that the only one making my heart race is that unbearable nuisance, Shahana?

Ranbir nudges him playfully. "Ooooh! So, you’ve started dreaming about her, huh? Spill it! Who is she?"

Panicked, Aryan bolts out of the room, shouting, "There’s no one!"

Ranbir laughs. "I know there is someone, and I will find out who!"

As he leans back against the wall, his expression grows serious. Now I have to talk to Chief about this. But… is it really true? Am I… attracted to Prachi?

Chapter 14

Abhi's Office

Abhi steps out of his cabin and gathers his staff. With a smile, he announces, “I have some news for all of you. There will be a Diwali party at my house tomorrow, and I would love for each one of you to join us in the celebrations.” The staff members exchange excited glances and erupt into applause, thrilled by the announcement.

However, as Abhi scans the crowd, his gaze lands on Rishi. His expression shifts to one of displeasure, making Rishi slightly uneasy. Noticing this, Purab approaches him and asks curiously, “Abhi, you haven’t celebrated Diwali for the past twenty years since Pragya di left. What’s changed this time?”

A bright smile appears on Abhi’s face as he replies enthusiastically, “Because this Diwali, I will be reuniting with Pragya and our daughters.”

Purab’s eyes widen in shock and joy. “What? Really? So, finally, our Ram and Sita are coming back together! I’m so happy for you, Abhi!” He pulls Abhi into a tight hug.

However, Abhi’s smile slowly fades. Concerned, Purab asks, “What’s wrong? Why do you look sad all of a sudden?”

Abhi sighs. “I just wish I could say the same for you, Purab.”

A shadow crosses Purab’s face as he recalls his last encounter with Disha. His voice is heavy with resignation. “I’ve lost all hope, Abhi. I no longer expect her to come back to me.”

Abhi places a reassuring hand on Purab’s shoulder. “Don’t say that, Purab. I know how much you miss Disha, how suffocating your loveless marriage with my sister must be. You deserve happiness too, bhai.”

Just then, Sunny approaches them. Purab, still lost in thought, says, “I have Aryan, Abhi. He is the only reason I keep going. I’m glad that he has inherited my qualities… I just hope he doesn’t inherit my fate.”

Hearing these words, Sunny clenches his fists, his jaw tightening as envy and resentment simmer inside him. He thinks bitterly, So, Mr. Purab Khanna, you are so proud of Aryan, aren’t you? The son you’ve accepted, while I—your own blood—was never even acknowledged. Well, mark my words, I will make Aryan fall so hard that you will regret ever calling him your son. I will give him a fate so cruel that you’ll shed tears of blood for him.

Abhi turns to Sunny and asks, “What’s the matter? You wanted to talk?”

Sunny forces a polite smile. “I’m sorry, sir, but I won’t be able to attend your Diwali party tomorrow.”

Abhi raises an eyebrow. “Why not? This is your first year working for our company, and it’s the first party I’m throwing for my employees. No excuses—you have to come.”

Purab watches the exchange silently.

Sunny shakes his head. “For years, I’ve celebrated Diwali alone. I’ve grown used to it. I wouldn’t know how to celebrate it with a family anymore… so please excuse me.”

Abhi and Purab exchange a look, taken aback by his words. Abhi eventually sighs. “Alright. As you wish.”

Sunny nods in gratitude and leaves. As they watch him go, Abhi muses, “I don’t know why, but I feel a strange connection with that guy.”

Purab nods slowly. “Me too, Abhi. When I talk to him, it almost feels like I’m talking to Aryan… but I can’t quite figure out why.”

Ranbir and Prachi

Ranbir hesitates as he approaches Prachi. His friends’ words echo in his mind, along with Rhea’s warnings. He debates whether to turn back, but something inside him refuses to let go. Finally, he gathers his courage and steps forward.

“Prachi.”

Prachi glances at him, her expression unreadable. “Oh, I thought someone didn’t want to talk to me.”

Ranbir sighs. “Look, Prachi, I know you’re annoyed by what my friends said about us, but I actually came here to invite you to Chief’s Diwali party.”

Prachi folds her arms and responds curtly, “Why should I celebrate with your friends? I have my own friends to celebrate with.”

Ranbir’s patience snaps. “That attitude of yours! I thought I’d invite my employees just like Chief did, but no! You don’t consider me a boss, or even a decent human being! Oh, wait—I forgot! You hate me, right? So why would you ever respect my feelings? You know what? Do whatever you want!”

He storms off, leaving Prachi stunned. As his words sink in, guilt washes over her. I shouldn’t have spoken to him like that… I think I really hurt him.

Meanwhile, Ranbir returns to his cabin, replaying their conversation in his head. He clenches his fists. Why do her words affect me so much? Why does it bother me when she ignores me? Why do I always find ways to talk to her?

He exhales sharply. I need to talk to Chief.

Ranbir and Abhi

Ranbir marches into Abhi’s office. “Chief, I need to talk.”

Abhi looks up, amused. “What is it, young man? Another girl problem?”

Ranbir frowns. “Chief, how do you always know?”

Abhi chuckles. “Because every time it’s about women, you come running to me instead of your dad. Now, what’s up?”

Ranbir hesitates, then asks, “How do you know when someone is your true love?”

Abhi narrows his eyes. “Why do you ask?”

Ranbir rubs the back of his neck. “Chief… I always thought I loved one girl because she’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. But recently, someone else is making me feel things I don’t understand. I can’t figure out why this other girl is affecting me so much.”

Abhi smiles knowingly. “I had the same problem once. I was dating Tanu—one of the hottest models back then. I was convinced she was my true love. But then I married Pragya… a woman I didn’t even like at first. And yet, after marriage, something changed. My emotions, my feelings… they all shifted toward Pragya. That’s when I realized true love isn’t about outer beauty. It’s about emotions—when someone else matters more to you than yourself, when someone else becomes your very life.”

Ranbir listens intently, absorbing every word. After a pause, he asks, “When will you introduce me to Pragya aunty?”

Abhi smiles. “Don’t worry—you’ll meet her soon.”

Ranbir nods, lost in thought. So, who is my true love—Rhea or Prachi?
