Broken & sparkly things

Himani turned from her computer picked up her chai and peered removing her glasses

Meeta's palm contained the pieces of the two broken plum glass bangles

"Harit to PEETE HAIN BEER meera was defensive

"Bahu poori lawyer hain Shyam winked walking over and tapping her on her head fondly

"Yeh saari duniya se lar baithenHimani spoke proudly

Teeku peeked her face was covered with a dupatta

"Ready for the new me? Daddyjee? she whispered

"Aaa ja mere bache Shyam cooed

Teeku danced, she was wearing a dark red polka dot sleeveless swing dress, and a pink dupatta.

"TA-DAAA Teeku squealed

"Arey wah Himani smiled

"Bindi lagayen aur saree pehne, hamare yahan saree ka riwaz hai Meeta pretended to be Lakshmi

"Nahi hamare yahan mini skirts aur shorts ka hai Teeku giggled

"Gale mein kya hua beta? Himani asked

"She did a hot stone thing Ma Teeku lied

Meeta knew it was no hot stone

"Batayen aapko? Meeta attempted to get up, Teeku ran out careening into Harit

"What are you wearing? he asked scratching his head

"Nothing she said trying to pull away.

"Hmm? Harit was all curious

"Hum abhi facial karwaye to Ma ko dikhane aaye she gasped

He looked at her shiny sparkling face

He lifted a hand

"Unhoney kaha hai mahina chhoo nahi paayenge she whispered

This was all happening outside the door in the hallway, leaning on the wall

"Chaliye phir kahin aur chhoo lenge he whispered

She turned away hiding a smile

"Avantika he called

She didn't turn

She wanted to spend every second with him. She wanted to be by him. She wanted to sit by him

She wanted to tease him

Dhruv and Vibhu came up

"Chhutki dekhen kya laaye hum Vibhu waved a bag

"OH MY GOSH my favorite candied nuts? she asked in shock

"Yeh dress ke saath dupatta ka kya fashion hai? Vibhu mocked

Harit laughed out loud

The men entered the room

Teeku tried not to be too obvious she hoped she could somehow sneak up by Harit.

He leaned by a window, hands in his back pockets

"Beta yeh aapke liye Shyam handed him a Cartier watch, gleaming under the Noon sun

Harit was shocked

"Why?

"Hum aapko kuch diye nahi shaadi mein. Aapne kuch lene se mana jo kar diya. Yeh bus yahan aane ki khushi mein

"I am sorry hum yeh nahi le paayenge Harit kept his hands in his pockets

"Arey kyon nahi boss, le lein Dhruv urged

"No Iam good Harit smiled harmlessly

"Yeh to kuch bhi nahi hai, hamari Teeku itni khush hain aapse aapke liye hum kuch bhi kar lein

"Oh really? he looked at Avantika with renewed interest

Teeku's face covered in a embarrassed flush

She had no idea who or how Dad found out she was in love, even she had realized not too long ago

The men laughed and joked with Harit

"Hum yahan aapki Khushi ke liye pehan sakte hain par lekar nahi jaayenge

"Agar humne kaha agar lenge tabhi Teeku jaayengi aapke saath to? Bani walked in with her caustic humor

"Avantika? Harit waited for her response not at all offended by Bani's comment

"Ma hamey rukne nahi dengi she blamed her mother conveniently

"Bilqul nahi Himani smiled approvingly

"Good to know Harit whispered inaudibly at her
