Last week something shook me. This guy whom we know for the last few years as he has slowly transformed to a she thru surgery.
I realized how easy it is to read or watch these people in the entertainment industry but to interact in with a person whom you know as he to start addressing her as she is not easy to come to terms too. He/ she appeared to be transforming fine but it's the other person struggling to put a new identity

This when I don't even know the person in a personal capacity. We complicate life not knowing how to come to terms with change. 😊

I hear ya, Kalpana. People are so superficial. Worrying about immaterial things, stupid ego clashes and always worrying about making more money, though they have a net worth in the millions
I wonder what will they do if they were posed with a choice "Live a happy life of 100 with less than 500k in the bank or take 25 million today , bitch moan gripe and whine and be gone in 2 years"

I suspect most of them would take Choice B

BTW the gender change is a complete total first for me. I dont know how I would have reacted. I suspect a couple people in my town "could" be happier as women based on their mannerisms, but I have no freaking clue how their families would react to such news
Especially Desis... so much trauma. Since us Desis live our lives for others only😛

In a dinner conversation yesterday, the same topic came up.

I didnt know the answer clearly when I was less than 40. But now, I want peace and happiness. Now if anyone asks me, what do u want for my child -I will positively say happiness. Not an Ivy League degree or anything that I wanted ! If the child wants it, if it makes it happy, I will support it.

I know Jas the night I found out was at Iftar at a friend's. A gora friend told me. I was utterly sad, I didnt even know that kid. But the big lesson for me was, though you can brag share and toot your own horn when things are good. Nobody is affected as the parents in the grief.
Life is unpredictable

This is the third 27 I'm hearing in the last couple of years to have died of tumor or the big C ... all happening to people just stepping in to the work world after qualifying themselves. Dreams killed . After all the hard work and struggle, they dont get to live ????
