Chapter 4

Angrily, stomping his feet, Rajveer makes his way towards their table. By every passing second, his anger increases. Reaching there, he crosses his arms over his chest, he stares at Huda and Naina with anger and jealousy that is evident in his eyes. He stares at them for couples of minutes, hoping they will eventually see him and break their "annoying" eye-contact, but nothing happens. Rajveer has had enough with this. He cannot take this anymore.

Taking another step towards them, he hits his right hand on the table with his full force. This action of Rajveer succeeds as both Naina and Huda jerk and stand up straight, confused and shocked, trying to understand what exactly happened. Looking towards her right side, Naina finds Rajveer standing there, staring at her with anger.

A shiver goes through Naina's spine after witnessing an angry and a jealous Rajveer. She think maybe she should reconsider her decision of trying to make him jealous, because this is just the starting and he is already acting like this. If she takes the next step towards her plan, god knows what Rajveer will do to her. Yes, she is afraid of the consequences.

Naina opens her mouth to clear the misunderstanding, but another thought crosses her mind. No, she needs to do this. She needs to get him to confess his feelings. She cannot see him in pain, by avoiding her, he is punishing himself more. Closing her eyes, she gathers up some courage to continue her mission. Opening back her eyes, she looks towards an angry Rajveer.

"aray sir aap yahan?"

questions Naina, trying to act as if nothing happened.

This makes Rajveer angrier. What the hell is she trying to do? Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia, whatever you are doing, stop it or else he won't be the one responsible for the consequences. Rajveer is so angry at this moment that he does not even want to answer Naina.

"Cadet Huda aapki class hai so GET GOING"

yells Rajveer, staring at Naina

This jerks Huda and Naina gasps at this. Her heartbeat picks up pace as she lowers her eyes out of anxiousness. Huda's throat goes dry at this.

"sir...wo..."

stammers Huda

Before Huda could proceed further, he gets interrupted by Rajveer.

"This is an order Cadet Huda. Get to your class NOW"

yells Rajveer again.

Huda is scared to the core and Naina's heart skips a beat each time Rajveer opens his mouth to say something. Without waisting another second, Huda rushes from there towards his room. He was trying to tell Rajveer that there is no class right now, it is lunch time, but Rajveer was not ready to listen, so, Huda just decides to leave. Now are left Captain Shekhawat and Cadet Ahluwalia, alone in the Mess. Due to Rajveer's anger, everyone leaves from there, including Suriji.

Rajveer and Naina keep staring at each other, looking intensely in each other's eyes. Rajveer's eyes shows nothing but anger, jealousy, possessiveness and love while Naina's eyes shows fear, nervousness, and something new. Naina's heart skips a beat and her cheeks starts burning red under his constant and intense gaze. Knowing he is not ready to give up, Naina finally lowers her eyes.

"have a nice day sir!"

wishes Naina in nervousness

With that, Naina decides to leave from there. Taking a step away from him, Naina makes her way out of the Mess. This does not go very well by Rajveer as he gets even more angry at this action of Naina's. Oh hell no Naina, don't you dare to ignore him like that.

Naina jerks and stops in her tracks as she feels her left hand's wrist being gripped. She shuts her eyes as she knew that this would be coming. She is not ready for this, she is not ready to see Rajveer's jealous side, but she has to do this, for him!

Opening her eyes, she looks towards her left and finds her hand in Rajveer's grip. Her heartbeat picks up pace as she tries to get out of his hold, but he makes a tight grip. When Rajveer sees Naina struggling to get out of his hold, his eyes goes red with more anger. With his full force, he swings her towards him and puts her hand behind her back, still gripping her wrist.

"Tum kya karne ki koshish kar rahi ho Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia?"

asks Rajveer, sternly

Naina's heart sinks at this. She is very well aware what Rajveer is talking about, but, she needs to pretend. She constantly tries her best to get out of his hold, but he grips it even tighter which leads Naina's heartbeat to pick up pace. She cascades her eyes towards.

"sir please mera hath choriye "

requests Naina, nervously

This increases Rajveer's anger. Oh, so, Cadet Huda can hold her hand but when he does, she has a problem. How dare you Naina? He squeezes her wrist in order to get her to look up at him. This works as Naina looks immediately in his eyes.

"pehle mere sawal ka jawab do. What the hell are you trying to do?"

yells Rajveer

This frustrates Naina. So, he can do anything, but when she does something, he is showing his dominance on her.

"mujhe nahi pata ap kya keh rahe hain sir"

replies Naina without breaking the eye contact.

Rajveer's grip loses at this answer. Taking the opportunity, Naina takes a step back in order to leave, but before she can leave, she gets dragged to the nearest wall by Rajveer. He pins her to the wall and hovers her from both sides, so, she won't escape.

"tum achi tarah se janti ho ke mein kya keh raha hoom. Stay away from Cadet Huda. Do you understand?"

yells Rajveer

Naina's breath hitches in her throat and her heart swells with so much love FOR HIM. Yes, she is in love with him and she has realised this now. So, Alekh was right, her Rajveer sir is in love with her. Her heart dances with joy, but she cannot show this. She needs to act like she does not care.

"aap mujhe aise order nahi de sakte. Hote kon hain aap mujhe batane wale ke mujhe kya karna chahiye or kya nahi"

replies Naina, sternly.

What the hell is she saying? How can she ask who is he to her? Not being able to hold it back anymore, he grabs both of her shoulders, harshly.

"mein tumhara..."

yells Rajveer, but stops after realising what he was about to utter.

"mentor hoon mein tumhara!"

yells Rajveer

Naina gets frustrated. He was so close to accepting his feelings, but he did not. Fine, be like that then Captain!

"If i remember correctly, wo aap hi thay jis ne khud mera mentor hone se inkaar kia ha. So, ab aap ka koi haq nahi banta"

replies Naina, frustrated.

Rights? Is she talking about rights? He has full rights on her. Pushing her back to the wall, Rajveer leaves her shoulders, yet he makes no effort to step back. With his right hand's index finger, he points it towards Naina as his eyes starts blazing with more anger.

"Pura haq hai mera tum pe Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia. I am warning you Naina. Stay away from Cadet Huda or else I won't be responsible for the consequences!"

warns Rajveer, sternly

With that, he makes his way out of the Mess, angrily, leaving Naina behind. A huge smile creeps on her lips. Her heart fills with joy on the thought of him loving her and being this much posessive about her.

"He loves me! He loves me! He loves me!"

mumbles Naina out of happiness as she spins around in the Mess.

"step one accomplished! Now, it's time for step two!"

says Naina, smiling

Next Morning

Rajveer, sitting on his red couch, is seen reading a file. Actually, he is reading less and thinking more about yesterday's inciident that took place between him and Naina. He clenches his fists as all the scenes starts to play in front of him. Anger, jealousy, frustration and his possessiveness is evident on his face. Throwing away the file, he gets up abruptly.

Angrily, Rajveer walks towards the door. In frustration, he punches the wall.

"tum mujhe samajh kyun nahi pa rahi ho Naina?"

yells Rajveer

Why does she not understand him? Why does she not understand that he is not able to see her with Cadet Huda?

"tum kyun nahi samajh paa rahi ho ke mein tumhe apne aapse door jate hue nahi dekh sakta?"

he questions himself, his voice gets softer by each passing second.

Rajveer's voice reflects his pain that he has been going through. But is this what he not wanted? In fact, this is exactly what he wanted. He wanted Naina to stay away from him, he, himself wanted to distance himself from Naina. But what happened now? Why is he reacting in such a way? Rajveer feels guilty for his yesterday's behaviour. Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat, master of strategy and communication, someone who knows how to hide his feelings. Why wasn't he able to control his emotions yesterday? What powered him? Is his love that strong towards Naina that his communication skills and his self control fails?

Rajveer, who's front was towards the wall and by the time he turns around, his eyes are welled up with tears, tears of pain. No, he cannot do this. For his selfishness, he cannot take Naina's love away from her. If she really loves Huda, he will not come in between them, no matter what. His happiness is in Naina's happiness. Wiping his tears away, he picks up the file that he threw away. Heading towards the couch, he sits back, calm this time.

"Mein apni selfishness ke liye tumhare or cadet Huda ke beech kabhi nahi aaonga Naina. Agar tum wakai mein cadet Huda se pyaar karti ho toh mein aisa kuch nahi karoonga jis ki wajah se tumhe tumhare pyaar se alag hone parhe."

whispers Rajveer

With his determination to stay away from Huda and Naina, Rajveer goes back to reading his file. He has decided that he will sacrifice his love for Naina's happiness because love is not about being able to live with their love, but it is about making someone happy, doesn't matter if their love's happiness is with someone else.

Rajveer does not know when all this is heard and seen by someone else. Yes, it is none other than Dr. Shalini. Dr. Shalini happens to cross by Rajveer's room when she heard a slam on the door and it caused her to stop. Unknowingly, Rajveer did not close the door properly, so, Dr. Shalini has seen and heard everything.

Dr. Shalini's eyes are filled with tears. Yes, she wanted her Captain, her best friend to be with Dr. Ritu, but at that time, Dr. Shalini did not know his feelings for Naina, but now she does. She is a true friend and will do anything for him. Wiping her tears away, she leaves from there.

Girl's Hostel - Naina's Room

Alone, Naina paces up and down in her room as she thinks about the entire incident that took place yesterday with her and Rajveer. Today, there is a different kind of glow on her face as her lips are curled up into a beautiful smile. Today, she feels as if she is the most beautiful girl in this entire universe. Just the thought of being loved by her Rajveer sir makes her heart to swell with pride, love and happiness. Blushing and smiling, she walks around the entire room as she waits for Huda.

Yes, Naina has told Huda everything about her feeling for Rajveer. She has told him how much she loves him. At first, Huda does not appreciate this as he takes his anger out on Naina, but then, he realises his mistake. Yes, he was jealous of Rajveer before, but, now, he realises that his phoolan's happiness is with her Rajveer sir. Huda has hurt her enough with his actions, but not anymore. He loves his phoolan and he, now, knows what the true meaning of love is. He understands that love is the true devotion to someone beyond yourself, love is giving respect to their loved ones and sacrificing your happiness for their happiness. And today, Huda has realised how much Rajveer and Naina love each other. He has realised that Rajveer's love for Naina is beyond limits and is much greater than his love for Naina. And now, he will do everything for his phoolan and his Rajveer sir. He will do anything to make Rajveer and Naina, RAINA, does not matter what he has to do for that.

Right now, Naina is waiting for Huda so they can discuss the second step of their plan. Suddenly, a knock is heard on the door. Thinking it is Huda, Naina immediately rushes towards the door, smiling. As soon as she opens the door, her smile vanishes as she finds Dr. Shalini standing at the door, instead of Huda.

"aray ma'am aap yahan? please andar ayiye"

offers Naina sweetly.

Even though Naina's voice is soft and calm, yet Dr. Shalini does not fail to notice the disappointment in her voice. Smiling, Naina moves to her left side and gives Dr. Shalini a way to come inside. Naina's back is towards Dr. Shalini as she walks towards her bed.

"he loves you cadet"

utters Dr. Shalini

This comes as a surprise for Naina as she stops in her tracks. Her heart skips a beat as she tries to digest Dr. Shalini's words. Naina wonders how Dr. Shalini found about Rajveer and her? But then, another thought crosses her mind. She thinks maybe Dr. Shalini is talking about Huda.

With a lot of courage, Naina turns towards Dr. Shalini.

"k-kon ma'am"

questions Naina

Her voice reflects her nervousness. With a sad smile, Dr. Shalini walks towards Naina. Grabbing her right hand's wrist, Dr. Shalini makes Naina to sit on the bed.

"Captain Rajveer tumse bohut pyaar karte haim Cadet Singh"

confesses Dr. Shalini

Naina's breath hitches in her throat on finding out that Dr. Shalini knows about it. Naina's eyes wells up with tears as she hears Dr. Shalini's words. In order to hide away her tears, Naina lowers her eyes and tries her best not to cry. Yes, she knows that he loves her, but he is punishing her by pushing her away from him.

As for Dr. Shalini, she is hear to know about Naina's feelings for Rajveer. And if Naina also loves him, she will do anything to bring these two together. Dr. Shalini decides to ask Naina, even though Dr. Shalini is positive that Naina feels the same way for Rajveer.

Putting her right hand's index finger under Naina's chin, Dr. Shalini forces Naina to look in her eyes.

"kya tum Captain se pyaar karti ho cadet?"

question Dr. Shalini

Naina gets shocked by the direct question from Dr. Shalini. Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia, someone who does not like to share her feelings with anyone, but right now, she feels as if she is talking to her older sister, Dr. Shalini. At this moment, Naina feels the urge to burst her feelings out in front of Dr. Shalini.

"yes, ma'am! Mein Rajveer sir se beinteeha mohobatt karti hoon"

confesses Naina

Dr. Shalini smiles at this. but she does not fail to notice the pain in Naina's voice as she utters each word. Dr. Shalini puts her hand on Naina's hand, as a sign of comforting her.

"toh phir problem kya hai cadet?"

question Dr. Shalini, softly/

With a sad smile, Naina lowers her eyes.

"problem ye hai ma'am ke Rajveer sir apni feelings se bhaagh rahe hain. Unh ki aankhon mein saaf dikhta hai unh ka pyaar mere liye. Or yakeen maniye ma'am wo apne aapko zayada takleef pohuncha rahe hain apni feelings ko control kar ke"

replies Naina as she narrates yesterday's incident to Dr. Shalini.

Dr. Shalini looks towards Naina sympathetically, but then a smile creeps on Dr. Shalini's lips.

"don't worry cadet! mere pass ek plan hai. Is ke baad Captain apne aapko control nahi kar paiyege apni mohobatt ka izhar karne se"

says Dr. Shalini as she comes to her "love guru" avatar.

Naina smiles as she hears Dr. Shalini's plan which ensures her that this plan will surely be successful!

At 1800 Hours

This is Dr. Shalini speaking, I would request all the cadets and faculty members to please gather up in Mess within five minutes, Thank You!

After this announcement, everyone gathers up in Mess within three minutes, except for Rajveer. After two minutes, he enters the Mess and gets stunned to see what's in fromt of him.

He finds everyone gathered up in Mess, clapping. The other scene takes his breath away as Rajveer sees Cadet Huda on his knees, in front of Naina, proposing her, with a flower in his hand. As if this was not enough, he sees a board which says "Huda-Naina's Engagement in two days".

"Kya tu mujhe sagai karegi Phoolan?"

proposes Huda

Rajveer's heart skips a beat at this and his heart tears into millions pieces as he sees Naina accepting the flower with a smile. A lone of tear escapes from Rajveer's eyes.

Just then, Dr. Shalini grabs the mike.

"Attention ladies and gentlemen, it's an honour to announce that Cadet Huda and Cadet Singh's engagement party will be held in two days"

announces Dr. Shalini

By the time Dr. Shalini announces this, anger and jealousy takes place in Rajveer's eyes, instead of tears. There is no way he can see this. He notices Naina's closeness with Huda. Yes, he said that he will stay away from Naina, but he cannot. He cannot take this anymore. He cannot see his Naina going away from him. The way Naina is looking towards Huda, Rajveer sees no love in her eyes. At this moment, Rajveer realises that Naina does not love Huda, then why is she doing this? And if she does not love Huda, then, there is no way he will let her go so easily. Rajveer will find out why she is getting engaged to Huda when she does not love him? Then who does she love? Does she love him? Rajveer decides to find it out. Hell, there is no way he is sparing her so easily this time.

Just then, all the lights turns off in Mess. Naina tries to move from there when she is pulled by a pair of strong hands.
