Part 4
Kripa was stunned into silence. "Kripa?" he asked. "Say something" Kripa didn't feel anything, she was so shocked that she felt limp and lifeless all of a sudden. She gathered some strength and slowly picked up her arm to slap him, but before she even got a chance someone came and punched him in his face. Kripa turned around to see Josh standing next to her, anger written all over his face. Uh-oh, she thought. He was totally beating Karan up now and people started noticing. She quickly pulled Josh away. "Leave him, bhai, I said, leave him!" Finally, after a few minutes he stopped. Too Late Kripa thought. Ria had already seen Josh beating her boyfriend up and she didn't look quite happy about it. Someone brought a pack of ice, and as Ria helped him up she gave Josh a cold angry stare. Kripa dragged him away from there and took him inside. Many people were oblivious to all the drama that had taken place outside.
Angad and the others quickly approached them when they saw Josh's expression and Kripa trying to sooth him. "What happened?" Angad asked, concerned. Kripa didn't know if she really wanted to answer that so she stayed quiet. "Kripa?" She looked up as if she was lost in her thoughts. "Huh?" she asked.
"Is everything all right?" he asked. "Why is Josh so angry?"
"Oh its nothing, some waiter dropped his drink or something" she said giving a meaningful look to Josh. Angad saw this and instantly knew she was lying.
"Josh, man, you are crazy, it was a stupid mistake, forget it" said Prithvi, one of their friends.
"Kripa you don't have to lie" Josh said. Everyone looked at Kripa and Josh back and forth now. He told them what had happened and all he had heard and by the end they were all pissed. Kripa got up and excused herself. She saw Karan and Ria leaving the place and stared after them with a blank expression. She was going though mixed feelings right now. She began to feel a bit dizzy and she held onto a nearby pillar for support. A waiter passed by and she took a glass of water from it and drank it. She felt even more dizzier and suddenly the glass broke in her hands spraying blood all over as she fell to the floor.
At the hospital, Josh and his friends stood outside a room as Angad came out from the doctor's office with a shocked look on his face. Everyone looked at him and approached him. He took support of a nearby bench and sat down. "Angad?" Josh asked. "What happened? What did the doctor say?" Angad stayed quiet. Josh was getting worried, "Say something dammit" he screamed, shaking Angad. Angad looked up at him with teary eyes. He couldn't meet his eyes. "She is out of danger, perfectly fine, we can take her home" Everyone was relieved except Josh. He had seen the tears in Angad's eyes. "What did the doctor say? What are you hiding Angad?" Josh asked. The tears started to spill from his eyes. Prithvi came over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. Angad looked up at him and then everyone else. He looked at Josh last. "Josh" he paused. "Kripa." He paused again. "Kripa has brain tumor" The words hung in the air for a minute and everyone looked at Angad, shocked. They all became teary, Kripa was like a sister to them. Josh moved back a step. He shook his head, "No" he kept on repeating that out loud until he got hysterical. "Its not funny Angad, this is a stupid joke, you are talking about my sister dammit" Tears began to flow. Angad got up. "She knew it. She." He paused and his voice wavered as he spoke the next words. "It is too late to be cured. She only has six more months to live according to the doctor." Josh kept on shaking his head and saying No. Angad went and gave him a hug, tears spilling down both their eyes. Josh pushed him away and slowly fell. He had fainted.
An hour later, Josh opened his eyes to find himself in a hospital bed. He had fainted of shock. He heard the doctor talking to Prithvi and Angad about taking too much stress and shock. Pictures flashed through his mind of Kripa as a child. She was the only family he had. He had raised her up, being her father, mother, brother all at the same time. She was so happy and such a lively girl. He had to see her. He got up and took off the little tube attached to him. He ran out of the room ignoring people's screaming. He ran until he approached her room. He entered and saw her peacefully sleeping with some tubes attached to her. She looked so angelic and peaceful. But he saw how weak and pale she looked now. When he got closer, he saw the bags under her eyes that were hidden carefully with the use of make-up. She had known, he told himself. She had known but he knew that she didn't tell him because she knew he would break apart. Suddenly, he felt guilty. He wasn't there when she had found out. He could imagine how lonely she would have felt. He wasn't there when she needed him the most. He suddenly remembered something and ran out of the hospital. After getting into his car, he drove home. There, he quickly ran up to Kripa's room. He pulled out the mattress and took out a diary.
As he took them out, he saw a folder. He opened it to find medical reports. He could see the tear stains on it. He put them away and opened to the diary. He skimmed to the last couple of weeks and read the entried. What he read shocked him. He carefully put the diary away and got back to the hospital. Everyone was sitting outside Kripa's room waiting for him. Everyone except Angad. He watched from a nearby window and saw Kripa sitting up in bed. Angad was sitting next to her in a chair, holding her hand and talking to her. She was smiling and laughing uncontrollably. He slowly smiled.

That was it. I know it was short but I am in a hurry at the moment. And i thought it was pretty awful i bet there are a buncha mistakes..oh wel...Questions: What did Josh read in the library? What is Angad- Kripa's relationship according to what you read about the hospital room scene? Why did Angad leave to London?
These questions will be answered in the next few parts. Who knows, this ff might turn out longer than I expected. Okay, now I want to know your predictions/answers to the questions!!!
