Part 13(B): Chandrakanta Murders Jhumroo

CK was telling Surendra what how she, Champa and Chapla killed SD the night before her wedding. She also told him about her kidnapping and Devgiri taking her place for few days.

"Mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha hai ki itna sab ho gaya. Tumne Virendra ki jaan bachaayi fir tum usse gussa kyun thi? asked Surendra wanting to know her short time hatred for Viru.

"Kyunki Shiv Dutt ka mere zindagi me aane ke liye main use zimmedaar samajhti thi, replied CK telling him how her father accepted Shiv Dutt's proposal due to fear of Chunargarh people especially Viru's sight going on her but how Roshni made her realize that she is wrong thinking that and how she herself realized the same not being happy with blaming him for that.

"Agar Virendra ki baat nahi hoti fir bhi Shiv Dutt tumhaare saath kisi na kisi din galat karta tha. Vo kaisa insaan hai iske baare me poora Vijaygarh jaanta hai. Tum teeno ladkiyon ne vo kiya jo hum sab nahi kar paaye. Shukar hai ki tum teeno thik ho, said Surendra.

"Agar Marich ko pata chala to hum teeno nahi bachenge, said CK worriedly.

"Marich ko kuch nahi pata chalega, said Surendra.

"Ab main chalti hu, said CK.

"Main chaahta hu ki tumhe duniya ki saari khushiyaan mile, said Surendra with a smile.

CK just smiled back and left the room.

"Chandrakanta ke haath se Naugarh ke 2 galat insaan Shiv Dutt aur Shyamala maare gaye jo koi Naugarh me nahi kiya. Pata nahi mujhe aisa kyu lagta hai ki Jhumroo bahot jald Virendra ya Chandrakanta inn dono me se kise ek ke haath se maara jaayega, said Surendra.

Ragini was walking near the pool when she slipped and sprained her leg. CK who was passing by rushed to her and gave her her hand. Ragini kept her hand on her's and CK helped her get up. CK lifted her in her arms much to the shock of the soldiers and servants nearby.

"Dhyaan se chalnChal a chaahiye tumhe. Thoda aage fisalti to tum paani me girti thi, said CK.

"Ye aap kya kar rahi hai, yuvraniji? asked one of the daasis nearby.

"Apne saheli ki madad. Kya tum uthaaogi ise meri jagah? asked CK back with a smile.

"Main nahi utha paaungi ise, replied the daasi.

"To ye kaam mujhe hi karne do, said CK.

CK walked from there.

"Mujhe tumse Jai Aditya ke baare me baat karni hai, said Ragini.

"Usne tumhe fir kuch kaha. Abhi uski class leti hu, said CK.

"Nahi nahi, usne mujhse maafi maangi aur mujhse kaha ki vo usne uss din mera dil kyun toda tha, said Ragini telling her what they talked in his room and how they got back together.

"Main tum dono ke liye bahot khush hu, Ragini, said CK with a smile, "Mujhe vishwaas hi nahi ho raha tha ki Jai Aditya aisa kuch kar sakta hai jisne kabhi acchhe logon ka bura nahi kiya.

"Apne aur Virendra ke baare me batao, said Ragini.

"Kya? asked CK.

Ragini was about to reply but JA came in their way. He was shocked at the sight before him.

"Ab ise tumhi sambhaalo, said CK with a smile and handed Ragini over to JA.

"Ise kya hua? asked JA.

"Ye pool ke paas fisal gayi aur iske pair me moch aa gaya, replied CK, "Hum dono ko sab aise dekh rahe hai jaise ki kisini 2 ladkiyon ko saath me kabhi nahi dekha ho.

"2 ladkiyon ko to sabne saath me dekha hai par kisi ladki ko vo bhi ek yuvrani ko doosri ladki ko apne baahon me uthaate huve to bilkul nahi dekha hoga, said JA.

"Thik keh rahe ho, said CK and left from there.

"Ye mujhse itne acchhe se baat kar rahi hai, said JA.

"Kyunki maine ise sach bata diya hai tumhaare baare me, said Ragini.

"Tumhe dhyaan se chalna chaahiye, said JA.

"Roshni ne bhi mujhse yahi kaha, said Ragini.

"Vo to kahegi. Ab chalo main tumhe marham laga du, said JA.

"Tum rajkumar hokar mere pair ko haath lagaoge, said Ragini.

"Main rajkumar hu par tumhaara pyaar bhi, said JA.

Ragini was touched by his words. JA took her to her room and helped her sit on her bed. He brought first aid box from the table and started applying an ointment on her sprained leg.

"Hume mile ek mahina huve par aisa lagta hai ki hum aaj hi pehli baar mile hai, said JA.

"Tumse pehli baar milkar aisa lag hi nahi raha tha ki tum kisi shaahi ghar se ho, said Ragini.

"Main nahi chaahta ki bhaiyya aur yuvrani Chandrakanta humaari tarah kabhi alag ho, said JA.

"Main bhi ye nahi chaahti kyun aisa honepar bahot dard hota hai, said Ragini.

CK walks to the jail area and leaves some of her snakes from the secret passage in Kamini and Mayuk's cell to scare them. She enters their cell and smile at them.

"Tum ye kya kar rahi ho? asked Kamini in a scared voice.

"Jo main bahot dinon se karne ko soch rahi thi, replied CK in a serious tone, "Mere ghar ke saap jo tum dono ho unhe ab asli saapon ka saamna karna hoga.

Kamini and Mayuk are shocked and gets more scared.

"Please inhe vapas bulao, begged Kamini and Mayuk.

"Kyun maharaj ko beemar karnewaali aushadhi pilaakar aur mujhe jaan se maarne ki koshish karne se pehle tum dono ne nahi socha. Sochna chaahiye tha. Tum dono ko kya laga ki tum hume takleef doge aur main chup-chaap khadi hokar dekhti rahungi. Main tum dono se har ek cheez ka hisaab lungi, said CK in a dangerous tone and simply enjoyed her snakes scaring them.

The snakes were instructed by her to only touch them and crawl over them but not kill them by biting. V who came with her till outside the cell was stunned but impressed to see her like this. He noticed that she used similar statements on them like he used on Maan Singh. No wonder they are similar to each other in many ways and have all 36 guns of their kundlis matching. After 10 minutes, CK called back her snakes and put them lovingly in a basket. Kamini and Mayuk sighed in relief. CK gave them a dangerous stare before going outside their cell. The mother-son duo were too shocked and scared to say anything even after she left.

Later in the morning, as V and CK talks in the corridor they notice Jhumroo spying on them but pretend not to notice him.

"Ye firse humaari jasoosi kar raha hai, said CK.

"Ye isike liye yaha aaya hai, said V.

They knew that from the time Jhumroo came, he was spying on everyone. Jhumroo was busy watching them that he did not noticed Tej Singh behind him.

"Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho? asked Tej.

Jhumroo turned and shocked to see him.

"M-m-main apne kamre me jaa raha tha, stammered Jhumroo.

"To jao na yaha se. Khade mat raho yaha, said Tej firmly.

Jhumroo went from there disappointingly. Tej comes to V and CK and tells them Jhumroo spying on them. They told him that they too saw him and got angry on him for that.

After an hour when CK was alone in her room, Jhumroo enters her room. CK was angry on seeing him in her room that also coming without permission.

"Tum mere kamre me bina ijaazat kaise aaye? asked CK firmly.

"Main jaanta hu Maharaj Shiv Dutt ko aapne hi kuch kiya hoga kyunki vo aakhri baar aapke saath date ke liye gaye aur uske baad vo nahi laute, replied Jhumroo.

CK looked at him with shock at first and then smiled at him.

"To tere maalik ne tumhe ye bhi bataaya tha? asked CK.

"Haan bataaya tha. Ab main tumhe zinda nahi chhodunga, replied Jhumroo.

He takes out his knife. As he was about to stab her, she caught his hand mid-air and with another hand took out her dagger with which she killed SD and Shyamala. Everyone heard a male scream from CK's and got worried. Some guards, Champa, Chapla, Ragini and Viru started rushing to CK's room which took them some time.

"Shiv Dutt ki tujhe bahot yaad aa rahi hai na? Chal ab main tujhe Shiv Dutt ke paas hi bhejti hu. Ab narak me karna Shiv Dutt ki chamchagiri, said CK with an evil smile and stabbed him.

"Tumne Maharaj Shiv Dutt ko maara? asked Jhumroo shockingly.

"Haan, replied CK with a smile.

"Tumne yuvraj ko kaise maara? asked Jhumroo shockingly.

"Ye jaakar tu Shiv Dutt se hi narak me pooch lena, replied CK with a laugh.

She dragged him to her balcony and pushed him against the wall of the balcony.

She held his chin tightly and said angrily, "Mere maa aur pitaji ne mujhe isliye janam nahi diiya hai ki main badi hokar kisi neech insaan ki daasi banu. Zindagi me pehli baar main apni jaan lene jaa rahi thi jiska kaaran Shiv Dutt tha. Mere khudkhushi karne ki koshish ki vajah jo tha vo zinda kaise reh sakta tha. Use to marna hi tha. Ise tum mera gussa, badla ya ahamkar(ego) samjho. (with an evil smile)Alvida Jhumroo. Apne maalik yuvraj Shiv Dutt ko mera pranaam kehna.

CK removed her dagger from his stomach and pushed him off her balcony making him land on the ground. Those who rushed to CK's room entered and saw her pushing Jhumroo off the balcony. They were shocked but relieved and happy to see what CK did.

"Jarur iss Jhumroo ne kuch kiya hoga yuvrani ke saath, said one of the guards.

CK turned to face other with bloody dagger still in her hand.

"Chandra, tum thik to ho na? Jhumroo ne tumhaare saath kuch kiya to nahi na? asked Viru worriedly, "Hum tumhaare kamre se ek aadmi ki awaaz sunkar bahot pareshaan ho gaye the.

"Vo mujhe maarne aaya tha par maine hi use maar diya, Viru, replied CK.

She told him how she killed him when he tried to kill her skipping the part of her killing SD and her confessing the same to doubtful Jhumroo as guards were also there.

Scene shifts to everyone in the hall. Everyone is happy with what CK did.

"Tum sabko thik se pehra dena chaahiye, said RG to the guards.

"Vo shaayad chhupke se aa gaya hoga, said Champa.

"Ye bada hi kameena tha apne maalik Shiv Dutt ki tarah, said Chapla.

"Chandra, tumne bahot acchha kiya. Ye Jhumroo bahot badi museebat tha, said Viru.

"Beta, mujhe poori baat batao ki kya hua tha, said Jai Singh.

"Maharaj, ye mere kamre me mujhe maarne aaya tha is liye maine hi ise maar diya, said CK to her father in a tensed and emotional voice, "Mujhe maarne ke baad ye jarur Virendra ko bhi maarne ki koshish karta tha kyunki hum dono Shiv Dutt ke sabse bade dushman jo the. Agar ye zinda rehta to ye Shiv Dutt ko dhundta tha. Maharaj, aapko pata hai na Shiv Dutt ne hum sabke saath kya kya hai. Kya pata ye Giddha Singh se bhi mil jaata aur uske liye humaari jasoosi karta. Ye aadmi hum sabke liye khatra tha isliye iska marr jaana hi theek tha.

Jai Singh was hurt that his daughter still called him Maharaj' instead of Pitaji'.

"Hume ise yaha aane hi nahi dena chaahiye tha, said Surendra.

"Aapko to nahi pata tha na ki Jhumroo yaha gadbad karne aaya tha, said CK.

"Tum theek ho na, beta? Tumhe kuch hua to nahi na? asked Jai Singh worriedly.

"Maharaj, mujhe kuch nahi hua hai. Main to bilkul theek hu aur aapke saamne hu, replied CK.

Jai Singh hugged his daughter and said, "Shukar hai bhagwan ki tum theek ho, Chandrakanta.

CK hugged him back and said, "Maharaj, jo hum sabke saath galat karega uska yahi hoga.

For the first time after showing hatred to her father, CK hugged her father. She hugged him back as she felt his concern and worry for her was genuine. As she was hugging him, she smirked at Viru who was standing in her opposite direction. He smirked in return. JA and Tej Singh saw them smirking at each other and understood that CK did not told entire thing on why she killed Jhumroo. CK abruptly ending the hug making her father know that she still hates him.

"Shiv Dutt aur Jhumroo to baahar ke hai par aapne humaare hi ghar me 2 dushman itne saalon tak paalkar rakhe the, maharaj, said CK rudely and went to her room.

Jai Singh was again hurt by her rudeness. RG felt bad for him and wanted to comfort him but she always stopped on remembering how her daughter suffered due to Kamini. Others too felt bad for Jai Singh but they knew that he deserves it for agreeing CK's marriage with SD.

"Meri betiko pehle Shyamala ne maarne ki koshish ki aur aaj Jhumroo ne. Mujhe darr hai ki Shiv Dutt use kuch karne ki koshish na kare. Chandrakanta Shiv Dutt ka akela saamna nahi kar paayegi. Vo usse bahot balshaali hai, said Jai Singh in a worried tone.

Viru, Surendra, JA and Tej shared a look knowing remembering how CK killed SD. RG told the guards, daasis and even Kroor Singh and his aiyyars to leave from there.

"Maharaj, uski naubat nahi aayegi, said RG.

"Aap aisa kyu keh rahi hai, maharani? asked JS confusingly.

"Kyunki Shiv Dutt marr chukka hai, replied RG, "Use Chnadrakanta ne Champa aur Chapla se saath milkar shaadi ke ek raat pehle hi maar daala usse chhutkaara paane ko.

JS was shocked, worried and happy hearing that.

"Ye sab kaise kiya inn teeno ne? asked JS shockingly.

"Ye main aapko humaare kamre me bataaungi. Kahaani bahot lambi hai, replied RG.

Scene shifts to JS and RG's room. RG told JS the entire thing on how CK, Champa and Chapla killed SD the night before CK and SD's wedding. She also told him about Viru kidnapping CK on JA ans Tej's request and Devgiri taking her place for few days and how Viru took care of her at his palace and how he reunited her with CK. JS was shocked to hear everything.

"Main meri beti ka dard nahi samajh paaya. Isliye use Shiv Dutt ko maarne ka kaam apne haath me lena pada kyunki use apne hi ghar me kisi par bharosa nahi tha sivaay Champa aur Chapla. Virendra bhi uske saath nahi tha. Inn teeno ladkiyon ko bhi chot lagi. Agar inn teeno ko kuch ho jaata to main apne aap ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paata, said JS in an emotional tone.

"Abhi humaari beti surakshit hai. Use Shiv Dutt kabhi pareshaan nahi kar paayega, said RG.

Scene shifts to SD lying on his bed still in coma. Some khunkhaars who were taking care of him were talking about how they heard that CK accepted the war challenge against Rampur and how Naugarh family is helping her. SD is shocked to know about this. He can't believe on hearing to get something new about CK and her family some of the times.

"Ye ladki to humesha mujhe chowka(amazed) deti hi. Tu chaahe ye jung jeet bhi jaaye par tu mujhse nahi jeet paayegi, Chandrakanta. Main tujhse aisa badla lunga ki tu zindagibhar yaad rakhegi. Main tujhe aur Virendra ko bahot takleef dunga, thinks SD.

In Vijaygarh, all are in a room where they are discussing the war strategy.

"Ye Rampurwaale chhal karne ki koshish karenge, said JS.

"Hum Naugarh ke saamne ek baar kamzor pad gaye the par iss baar nahi padenge, said KS.

"Iss baar aap apne sainikon ko hathiyaar giraane ko mat kehna, said Viru.

"Kamini ne mujhe ishaara kiya tha karne ko to mujhe laga yahi thik hai, said KS.

"Vo aurat to hai gaddaar. Uska chhodo abhi. Agar Rampurwaalon ne kuch chhal kiya to hum uska bhi jawaab chhal se hi denge. Hum top(cannon) aur hand grenade ka istemaal karenge. Rampur ke sainik Vijaygarh ke sainik se thoda jyaada hai par hum unhe handle kar lenge. Kuch bhi ho hum use haraakar hi rahenge aur unka Rampur unse chheen lenge, said CK.

"Hum kabse doosron ki cheezein unse chhenne lage? asked JS shockingly.

"Shuruvaat un logon ne ki. Hum sab Shiv Dutt ki tarah bewajah doosron se kuch nahi chheenne jaa rahe hai. In fact, Rampur ke logon ko Giddha Singh aur Kartik jaise kroor tanashaahon(dictators) se chhutkaara mil jaayega. Hum unse behtar hai, replied CK honestly.

JS as well as others were impressed with what she said.

"Main abhi aapka saath dungi, said Ragini.

"Par tumhaara moch(sprain)? asked CK.

"Vo thik ho gaya hai, replied Ragini.

#The war started with everyone fighting except RG and Kamini. Kamini and Mayuk were released temporarily just till the war. Mayuk too was fighting in the war.

#Giddha Singh threw some sand in JS's eyes and was ready to stab him. CK came running shouting pitaji' and blocked his sword. She started fighting with him with obviously GS overpowering her being much more experienced than her. He pushed her on the floor at one point and was ready to kill her but V stepped in between and started fighting with GS. CK went near JS and repeatedly called him pitaji' while hugging him with tears in his eyes.

#Kamini who saw her overpowering Mayuk was about to stab her from behind with a knife but before she could do that, someone stabbed her only from behind killing her instantly.

A/N: So the war will finally happen in the next part. Can't show CK stronger than Giddha Singh otherwise it will be illogical like Razia Sultan learning to fight expertly in just a week killing an assassin whom her experienced brother also could not kill. Kamini tried to kill CK from behind but who has killed her instead. Any guesses.
