Angad…
Angad walked into his office. His office, that sounded so strange to Angad. All the worker rushed to him with files, reports, and greetings. Angad could have only dreamed to work in a lavish place like this, let alone own it. He was the owner of the biggest Diamond warehouse in all of America, he was the owner of Armani, heck he was even the owner of Mc Donald's. All this was very impressive considering he's a major in MBA, also considering he's a drop out in MBA. But no one needed to know that. Angad had a lot of work to do today, they were planning on buying the Coka Cola company.
"Good afternoon Mr. Das, I have your file ready for you", said his secretary.
"Good afternoon Mr. Das" said one his employee's while shaking his hand. Angad returned the greetings and walked into his office. His office was huge. Angad thought it bigger then the President's office when he first came in here…one year ago.
Angad spoke to his secretary, "Okay, Lillian can you please give me the project report for the Coka Cola Company?". "I have it right here Mr. Das", Lillian said while giving him the file. After she left, Angad started looking through the file. He couldn't concentrate. This project was his last project ever. After this, he was to leave this world forever. He hated it. Not the leaving the lavish office, extravagant house part. Maybe not even the leaving beautiful Kripa part. What he hated the most was leaving Sahil, he sure did love Sahil. But he couldn't stay here…Kripa and he had gotten divorced…well Kripa and Das had gotten divorced. He put everything under Sahil's authority, his money, his power, his house and his office. Until Sahil turns 21, this is all controlled by Kripa. It wasn't shocking, this was the way it was meant to go.
He tried to concentrate on his project, but everything his thoughts drifted back to Kripa. Kripa sure was beautiful. Angad was six foot tall, perfectly built, extremely strong, but when standing in front of Kripa, he felt so small, so very vulnerable. He loved her, he knew he did and a part of him knew that she loved him too. But, in this game, there was no room for love. But Sahil, he couldn't part from Sahil anymore. And so he asked for visitation rights. This was maybe the dumbest thing Angad could have done, it made Kripa very angry…but he couldn't let go of Sahil, not anymore.
It was time for Angad's meeting. His secretary came back in the room and walked with him to the conference room. " Mr. Das, everything is ready, you gave an excellent proposal to them, now all's left is to sign the dotted lines" Angad looked very confident, after a year of this, they knew it inside out. "Good Afternoon", Angad yelled out as he entered the conference room. "Good Afternoon Mr. Das, I hope you are ready for the most important signature of your life", said Mr. Fredrick, the current owner of Coka Cola.
"No, this wasn't the most important signature of my life, the most important was the one I signed in the morning…my divorce papers", Angad said laughing.
He hated it, he had to laugh about something that was killing him inside. But he couldn't show them he was sad, then they might have postponed the deal, he couldn't have had that. "Well Mr. Das, lets do the honors", said Mr. Fredrick. " Lets do", Angad replied. Angad looked through the papers. Everything was perfect. Angad's Company gets 65% and Mr. Fredrick gets 35%. Angad thought back to what Kripa had said, "Right after you sign the dotted lines Angad, right after you finished your Coke deal thing, your gone"! Angad sat there, right after signing this…he would never be able to see Kripa or Sahil ever again. How would he live without them? Could he live without them? His heat was beating fast, and his brain thought even faster.
"Is anything wrong Mr. Das", Fredrick asked. Angad thought, and decided that he needed some more time. What difference would it make. Just one more month with Kripa and Sail was all he wanted. " Well Freddy, can I call you that"?, Angad asked. "Yes, but Mr. Das what's the problem"?.
A-"Well, here it says that you will get 35%"
F- "Yes, I spoke to your secretary, this was the deal"
A- "If you secretary confirmed the deals, then she'd be the billionaire, not me".
F- "But…"
A- "How about you hear my deal, you will get 25%"
F- "Mr. Das, I can take this deal away whenever I want"
A- "So, be my guest…I don't need Coka Cola. I own Mc Donald's Freddy, and when you own Mc Donald's you own the world. What's with Coke…if not Coke, then Pepsi.
F- "Mr. Das how dare you"!
A- "And if I buy Pepsi, I will become your competitor…Freddy do you really think it's wise for you to make me your competitor?"
Mr. Fredrick thought about it. It was true, having Mr. Das as a competitor was a very un-wise decision. It was better if he just agreed to the deal. That's exactly what he did. Mr. Fredrick was leaving town for a month, and so they would now sign the dotted line after he came back. That meant one last month with Kripa and Sahil. Mr. Fredrick left the room. Lillian was shocked at what Angad has just done, she had to say something, " Mr. Das why did you do that?"
"Lily, please go see them to the exit", Angad said. Lillian left, and Angad sat there alone thinking back to what he had said to Mr. Fredrick. He owns the world, that makes him pretty darn rich doesn't it? Yet he felt to poor, poorer then a beggar. At least a beggar had his heart and soul. Angad had even sold that…
