@Beautiful the kind of rebellion Aakash does it will always end up hurting him and someone else. Just like his mother called immediately. Mostly when kids behave like this society blames mothers. See gender discrimination is practiced from childhood in many houses. That's why girls have deep rooted perceptions that marriage and motherhood is the only aim in their life.

Shruthi. U r right. Mothers r first pointed at for their kids behaviour.

It's true that mother should give good values to her kids. But now mother is not the prime factor. those days r gone I feel. time changed. Today's kids r not like this.

They get influenced by many things and the exposure they get also is so different from the 90 kids like me 😊 and u. I always has this fear sometimes that how far can I succeed in my upbringing . But I keep trying ...😛

No Beautiful. I believe mother is the key even today. Because she is the limit a child has to think before doing anything wrong. She is still the fold that a child should be able to come back to nurse their bruises.

Whatever the knowledge comes, from wherever it comes, the direction mother sets become a guiding point of a child in his or her future. Because everything is build over and above it.

I believe there are 2 kinds of knowledge. One that is according to the times, other beyond the time, the constant truth. A child should know both the knowledge and in moral conflict should never chose the knowledge of time, but the knowledge that is constant irrespective of time.

That's why from childhood Ramayana, MB, BG and all should be ingrained into a child as they help in character shaping.

Problem present day is mother's themselves dont know what this epics stand for, there are no enough elders at home whom the child can communicate. 90s kids had the advantage of nana, nani, dada, dadi telling them stories, they read books were mostly guided by people who had rich life experience, had good teachers.

Disadvantage of today's kids is that they are fed half knowledge from everywhere. No one to give them guidance.

Shruthi how can one teach a child the difference between the two knowledge.. and how does one ensure that we ourselves have it.. I mean I would like to ensure that I have the required knowledge that's y asking..

@Ria to get the right knowledge first and the foremost we need to accept one thing. Two types of knowledge exists.

I will give you simple example. Bhagavad Gita says what you sow you reap. Newton's third law of motion says every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Whether it is the line of BG or Newton's law it is the universal truth. Irrespective of the time the law holds good. Now how do you apply it. This is where direction matters. According to BG whenever you are in doubt about choices genuinely ask help to krishna or the supreme power you believe in. The path will open up, your confusions will simply go. And the taking of help from divine when in doubt is also universal that stands the test of time.

Now the knowledge of the times. 20 years back you could survive without the knowledge of computer. But as each year passes by survival without the knowledge of digital world is becoming difficult. So knowledge of technology its usage is the knowledge of our times and with time it can be obsolete. Alarm clock was there 10 years back, now mobile phone has taken its place.

To lead a balanced life you need both knowledge, not moving with the times you become extinct. But ignoring the constant knowledge for knowledge of time also you will become extinct.

To walk this path what you first need is to shed your ego. Whenever in doubt dont take decisions. Learn to call the divine to help you. Take decision based on that direction. Our ego makes us take wrong action or action in wrong direction. Both are catastrophic. Many times when in confusion people just take decision, they dont ask help and wait for the path to open up. Once you constantly do it and if you start acting based on the direction constant knowledge opens up.

I am currently in the process of decoding the constant knowledge for a child. To put it in a way a child can understand. But as of now only a brief sketch. But I really want to write " Decoding Narayana- Your Best Friend"

Very well said Shruthi about the two types of knowledge.

U r right about this days nuclear families with only parents.

I remember how my dad used to tell me so many stories of Ramayan,Mahabharata ,and other epics in my childhood.
