I don't know what the Piyush Kashish marriage was for.. But they definitely intended to show Sujal as an obsessed antagonist ! But the Piyush Kashish side was just so weak and they were portrayed to be so insensitive that ALL the audience's sympathy came flowing to Sujal ! Usually in such cases, people tend to support the girl but KTH was an exception ! And definitely a lot of it has to do with Rajeev's convincing, flawless portrayal of Sujal ! 3 generations of my own family lamented for Sujal , including my 75 yr old grandma !

You captured Sujal & Kashish's characters perfectly.
The bimbo is still bothered about herself and the family, Sujal's pain, as always takes the backseat. It has always got to be about her (Gah! The limits of self obsession!!) and the loony toon circus of the family.

And the selfless jerk that is Sujal is still unbothered and is actually congratulating her for nibhaoing her patnidharm - Piyush ki widhwa, indeed!!
As somebody mentioned that this is the saddest part of their story, he knows that she is simply incapable of returning his ethereal love, a love that transcends eternity and yet happily embarks on his road to self-destruction.

Wonderful discussions going on by the way. Remindee me of the crazy thread we had on Sujal Garewal!!
