Chapter 4:

He was shocked to see his parents injured and were supported by few policemen. He rushed towards them in worry and fear of what might happened to them.

'What is this Ma? What happened to you Dad? How did you both get injured?'

'Sidhant be calm beta. We will tell you.' Said his mom, who had a minor injury on her head. 'Come and help the officers in taking your Dad inside.'

Rajveer, Sidhant's Dad, was injured on his right leg.

Sidhant helped his parents settle in their room and ask them to take rest. He came out to find the officers and thanked them for their help.

'Thanks officer. Thank you for helping my parents on time. Can you tell me what happened?' questioned Sidhant.

'There was an accident near bus stop in the morning. A bus driver had heart attack while driving leading to the accident. Your parents were in the hospital and they were better than the others. We discharged them.

DGI Sen Gupta was at the spot who happens to be your father's good friend. He asked us to drop them here.

Please take care of them. I will take your leave now.'

For a moment, Sid doesn't know what to say. While coming to his home, he saw the accident. To know that his parents were there laying injured and him being unaware of it, made him scared. Scared of loosing them...

After sometime, Sidhant went to check on his parents and saw them awake.

He went in and kept his head on his mother's lap.

Priya, Sidhant's Mother, knows that her son is scared seeing them like this. She knows her worries. He already lost his love in a similar fashion. From then, he dedicated his whole time and love on his family and seeing them injured, rekindled his childhood fears.

His fear of loosing his dear ones. As a child, he was able to overcome his lose with his parents love and support but know if something happens, how will bear again?

'Sidhant, nothing happened to us. Don't worry. We are fine beta.'

Assuring him, his father patted his head, making Sidhant look at his father. Seeing them all fine, he asked them about what the doctor said. Knowing what all is required, he went and asked the house help to serve dinner in his parents room.

After dinner, Sidhant left to his room, after ensuring his parents had medicines and slept.

Chapter 5

There...

She lay...

In blood and dirt...

In chunks and pieces...

Her eyelids unexpectedly heavy and she wondered if this is how it felt when a giant size bell ring in the head. Unable to bear the pain in the different parts, she slipped into the world of oblivion.

Sidhant walked into the hall filled with people where some were mourning over their loss and some were happy with what they have been left with. He stepped into the left corridor facing the staircase, swiftly taking another left before reaching the glass door on which ICU' was written. Looking through the glass, he found the person bodied with bandage and several wires lay unconsciously.

Sucking in for more air, which seemed to be hard at the moment, he entered the room. Moving towards the bed was even more difficult and he wondered if his body decided to not co-operate with him by making it difficulty in performing unconscious things.

May be, why won't it be difficult when his soul lay there, severely injured, before his eyes. Even before getting his love, he is again on the verge of losing it? Is fate playing a cruel joke on him? Perhaps, lest he wouldn't stand here in the cold room filling his nostrils with odor that one can associate with hospitals and injuries. The person, who doesn't like the environment of a hospital, is now hospitalized.

Roli', Sidhant whispered. He was unable to believe what he is seeing. He was in a dilemma, if he should thank the fate for giving back his love or curse it for making him see her in such a state. Leaving all his worries aside, he bent forward and pecked her forehead before swiftly walking away through the same corridor that led him to this room.

He met the doctor who is in charge of Roli's treatment and queried him anxiously about her health. She suffers a fracture on her right, on both hands and a head injury, which seems to be not so serious at the moment but she slipped into comma, from which she can recover any time, may be in a week or two as she seems to be responding well to the treatment.

Thanking the doctor, he went back to Roli, promising to never leave her again.
