II is so competitive about every single thing in the world

Jealousy is like her middle name rather jealousy is her first an last name...wahi see shuru wahi pe khatam...! And all this jealousy only for two things that matter the most to her

1.career

2.Dude

Many a times a small something leads to big life changing decisions

Looks like II is about to face one

The way she has been noting everything down about dude and babies is like us in a conference that we have been dying to attend or a lecture we have paid tons to be a part of... Note every moment of the person talking...don't even leave how many sips of coffee he/she drank..

In fact everything they do seems to have a meaning

Just like II found meaning in dude's set if clothes 😆

But seriously dude

1. He surprises me...the ease with which he dresses up

"He can wear anything boring and make it look super hot" - something like this were II's words that I totally concur with

2.he is a kid magnet and how much he loves them shows in every action

Now I know why he said I want three kids the second thing that he spoke to her when he asked her to marry him

3.a nomadic man with no interest towards any attachments is so addicted to have the biggest attachment and responsibility - dies he know the intensity of what he is dreaming of??

4 the wow at the end was just so much my reaction too

Ignoring mami's train like words in the joy of seeing mama

So adorable and so much energy

Very aptly written for a baby of 9 months or an year??

Is lasya's bday around the corner?? In a few months?

Egalitarian Appa🤣

They stood in the slim corridor with doors on both sides, one to Amma Appa's bedroom, across from it
Periappa's adjacent to Periappa's II's and across from II the study/storage.

Lasya bend down, a needle like tube of drool hung precariously from her mouth... like a sword over baldie's head, between his eyebrows

II waited... and quickly snuck him out of the way, Lasya squealed thinking it was a game of peekaboo baby

"Can I hold him" hubby asked

"U are holding her" II said gleefully

"Switch?"

"Clever!! PODA!! They wouldnt let me touch him... I am going to feel the motta mandai the next few hours (the bald head)

She proceeded to Periappa's room, he followed

He was asleep she stood there holding the baby... the nurse was curious...

"Baby ho gaya?" he asked

"AYYYOOO!!!
GENIUS!

"Haan" she said

He stood up and stared

"Lekin Yeh to ganja hai" he said

II nodded... sadly

"Ekdum ganja" the nurse repeated, in complete shock... as if he lost money gambling

PORUMA? ARE U HAPPY NOW?"
NO NO, GO AHEAD... SAY STUFF... SAY SOME MORE

Lasya cooed and gurgled

Periappa opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, emotionless
When II was younger, she would always be fooled... she would run to Amma in the kitchen and say
"Amma Periapa seri ayitta" (Hes OK now)

EVERYDAY

And then he shut his eyes and opened and did that a few times

II's eyes filled up as she stood there holding the baby, hoping for a miracle like the movies

Having him turn... and say "Eppo vandey kanna?" (when did u arrive?)

"Besh besh" (very good) "Vandu paiyana?" (Vandu's boy?)

Like he "never went away"??

Ii walked over to the bed..."He is a miracle Periappa... Akka had such a tough time... porappaana nu porandirkan
(we didnt believe it would go this well)" she told him

He cooed... and stared seriously at the baby for a minute...

"Parungo" she extended the arm holding the baby tilting a lil

Miracles are for books and movies...

Periappa gurgled loudly and drooled

II leaned on the wall... R&B stood motionless with a somber expression

The nurse pulled Periappa's veshti down to cover his legs

He turned and flapped his hands... the nurse helped him up

II kneeled down a few feet away and held the baby "Shatabdi... THATHA sollu da" (say thatha)

the baby made faces again... in sleep this time

She smiled getting up

Lasya looked at Periappa curiously

stared the table fan in the corner that spun for the nurse... Periappa got too cold with the ceiling fan during monsoons

"epdi irukel?" (how are u?) she asked softly

She told him about the baby... and how the lil ones met...

"I brought rasmalai and ice cream... kondu varen"

(Will bring) she promised the old man

She walked out with the baby... sad...
He followed

Janaki Athai gave him coffee in a davara tumbler

"Idula kudupara?" (does he drink from such a thing?)

"Romba tavipaar but OK" (its extremely difficult but OK)

"II" R&B scolded, he didnt understand what she said, but didnt trust her

she smiled sitting down...

Amma hissed from the kitchen door

"AVAR KITTA KUDU DI KOZHANDAI" (Give the kid to him)

"NO MA" she shook her head

"I will come back later" R&B teased

"U must stay here" Amma invited warmly

"Umm" II squirmed

"SURE" said dude
Lasya chewed on a empty stainless steel cup

amma went into the kitchen to make some snack

Bala was downstairs, Sam brought the kids home from school to her place

"Do u want to stay here?" she accused

"dont u?" he asked, "u always want to" he thought...

II shook her head... in a "No"
He half smiled...

Appa walked over to the living room, bleary eyed, letting his
folded vehsti down upon seeing R&B, a lil disoriented... without his glasses

"Hello Mr Iyer" R&B stood up politely

Holding on to Lasya

"When did u come?" Apa demanded

"To Delhi?' he asked politely

"Yes yes" Appa nodded

"Yesterday" he said

"Kettadukku maatram badil solluvan ivan" (he will only answer what ever is asked)

II smiled...

"Eppo vandey kanna?"

(when did u get here?)

"20 mins ago? half hour ago appa?" she said

"Did u have coffee?" Appa enquired

R&B pointed to his half empty tumbler

"How can u drink with the baby?" Appa demanded

"she likes coffee" he said

"Our Ishita likes filter coffee... in fact she will have it when she was 6 months old" he declared

Your niece is not special, MY DAUGHTER IS SPECIAL

"Nee kudicheya raja?" (did u drink)

"No pa" she mumbled

"Madhaviii" he shouted

"Kozhandaiki coffee kudutheya?" (why didnt u give coffee to to her?)

R&B drank his Lasya moaned and lay down on his shoulder and gently rocked herself

"I will make her sleep u hold him" she offered

She set the baby down on the sofa... and grabbed Lasya

Appa watched minutely... as R&B stood up and walked over to her side to pick up baldie

"What do u think?" Apa asked

"Hes pretty cute" R&B said

"He has troubled our Vandita too much" Apa declared unhappily... relaxing leaning on the sofa.. letting out a yawn
"Now he is sleeping" "At night he will be awake all night and cry" "How will she sleep if he keeps crying?"

"Paavam pa" II cooed at the sleeping baldie😳

R&B turned to look at the man

"Mr Iyer was democratic that way... he detested any man that troubled his daughters" he thought, sitting down by his wife... holding baldie

Today all his animosity was directed at someone 1/3rd his height (22 inches vs 76 inches)😆

May be she was born 7 months ago or 8, cant remember... I think she is IN HER 8TH MONTH now😆
