A weird guy from the next street knocks on the door , tells me that he has lived in the Neighborhood for the last 10 yrs,checks with me if I hv recd a parcel of his by mistake as a mix up as we share the same door no and that the parcel is imp and also that the ups guys says that it's been already delivered, talks to me for a good 15 mins abt it.

They can be "odd" that way. Its like not asking you to "come in and sit down" even after uve been their neighbor for 20 years. Its very common. My 16 year old was at his friend's(Kyle) house last night, he calls me at 11 and asks "Can I go drop Henry off?"

I was like "Enna velayadreya?"

The fact that I am letting u drive home at 11:20 is a big deal (Kyle's house is 7 miles from my house) sorry cant do...
He comes home and tells me the kid had to get dropped off at a sleepover at ANOTHER friend's house 20 miles in the opp direction from Kyle's house

I explained to him

"Kanna... DONT do favors in the middle of the night... even if its not your fault, if a drunk driver strikes you, you and Henry could end up in the hospital, and tomorrow if Henry says "I never asked him he VOLUNTEERED"
Then his parents could sue us

My neighbors have lived next door for almost 9 years, two weeks ago, I was dropping my 7 year old off at one of his classes, there was a woman who waited at a median.. she wouldnt turn... she was on the phone... she waved to me to go on... I DID
My 7 year old yelled "Its Barbara" (for my neighbor) in 3rd car from the 3rd direction... I hadnt seen her... she was not at risk in anyway... I passed, but still I texted her "I am sorry if u thought I cut you off"

She first pretended NOT to know what I am talking about and then proceeded to say something that was quite uncalled for "Be happy it was not a angry redneck" (redneck is a an insulting term used for people of the NW, they love their guns)

I have many coworkers with young kids who will not share WHICH school their kids go to... as if I spend my afternoons waiting outside school yards hoping to kidnap some😡

I was telling a coworker about growing up in Delhi today... and some anecdote about getting here 18 years ago... she goes "Did u know English then?"
