Neha sat on the passenger seat, her head turned towards Shiv. She watched him as he drove. Suprisingly, Neha had no questions rising in her mind about where they were going? Or who they were going to meet. Neha was calm, it was as though nothing could ever go wrong, ever again. It was not that Neha had forgotten, no, she remembered. She remembered everything that had happened three years ago and everything that had happened over the last few weeks. But right now, Neha did not care about anything else. All she knew was that she was happy. She was in love with Shiv and would be for the rest of her life.

"Oh Neha I forgot to tell you, I have a little party at my house tonight. You have to come and bring your sister too." Shiv casually announced to Neha as he continued to concentrate on his driving.

"Sisters!"

"What? You have another sister?" Shiv asked, this time turning to look at Neha, briefly before turning back to look at the road.

"Yup, I have an older sister too. But she is always studying in the library or at home that is why you have never met her."

"Oh ok, well you are a lucky girl, two sisters! Actually I am the lucky one, you know what they say about having sister-in-laws" This time Shiv looked at Neha a bit longer, to see her reaction.

Neha did not reply but just smiled at Shiv. What could she say, she was a bit surprised, after all Shiv had indirectly called Neha his wife, by calling her sisters his sister-in-laws.

"Ok so you and your sisters come to my house tonight ok?"

"Your parents?" Suddenly the idea of Shiv's parents being there, and them recoganizing her came to Neha's mind.

"Oh they are out of town."

The rest of the drive was spent in silence. While Shiv continued to drive, Neha continued to look at Shiv, and smile. The drive had been so peaceful and meditative. Neha wanted to close her eyes and think about her and Shiv. But she did not need to do that, as Shiv was right there beside her, as much in love with her as she was with him. Neha had once read in a book that being in love was not wanting to go to sleep because reality was better than dream. At the time Neha had thought the saying to be beautiful but today she had understood it, today she lived it.

Shiv braked and stopped the car in front of a long building. As Shiv pulled the keys out, Neha placed her hand on his arm getting his attention.

"Shiv, who is that you want me to meet?"

"Neha! You were patient all this way and you can't wait a bit more?"

Neha simply lowered her eyes, as the sense of calm in her slowly started to disappear as saddness started to creep in.

Shiv's cool hand cupped Neha's face as he lifted her head. Neha raised her eyes and gazed into Shiv's eyes.

"We are going to meet my best friend, Karan. He has always been there for me. I stayed with him while I was in London. And I would really like you to meet him." Shiv came closer to Neha and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Should we go upstairs now?"

Neha nodded her head in approval and smiled getting the reply to her question. Yet still, the sadness within her remained.

Shiv smiled at Neha as they both stood in front Karan's appartment door. The door opened. On the other side of the door stood Natasha. Shewta's best friend. Neha's childhood friend. Shiv's best friend's younger sister?

Well Shiv left Neha on the day of the wedding. He ran away. They were having an arranged marriage and Shiv never even saw Neha's photo....hope that answers it😳....thanks for liking my fan-fic😃
