Samud TS- Stranded on an island.
Part 2( Last Part):
Flashback Continued:
Saras was in a bad mood. He was compelled to participate in the game by Sunny. Their team was called the Aggressive Sharks. The names of the remaining three teams were Cool Angelfish, Rapid Waters and Calm Coconuts. The first task consisted in looking for three keys which were scattered all over the ship. Saras had a sullen look on his face all the time and he kept on making faces at Kumud who just avoided him. He had really been pissing her off! Either with his sarcastic comments or with his constipated looks...however she found his absurd expressions hilarious.
The first task turned out more difficult than anticipated for Saras, Kumud and Sunny. Kumud and Sunny were both sure that the last key was found in the captain's cabin but Saras was sure that it was in the main restaurant's kitchen.
Kumud looked at Saras angrily," I know that we have some issues to settle, but can we work as a team for once? I know that you just want to go in the kitchen for food, isn't it?"
Saras froze with Kumud's sentence as if he got busted and there was LIAR' spelled in red marker on his forehead. Sunny tried to control his laughter and luckily, he succeeded in doing so. Saras walked near to Kumud and blasted at her," I don't know if you are even sane Miss. Whatever, all I know is that I am trusting my intuitions and if you want to go wherever you want to, then go, you are free to!"
Sunny tried to put an end to the feud with his sugary coated words," Guys, please calm down! Look Saras, if you are sure that the last key is in the main Restaurant's cabin, then we can have a look over there while going to the Captain's cabin..."
Kumud reluctantly agreed and Saras stuck out his tongue at Kumud.
Indeed, Saras was right, they found the last key stacked under a fruit basket in the kitchen. Saras gave Kumud an I-told-ya-so' look and Kumud looked away. Sunny was so happy that he hugged Saras, "Thanks dude! I knew that you would be the best teammate." Saras said," Hmm...you see, Sunny? You were agreeing to whatever that lizard was saying, you should heed to me, sometimes, after all."
Kumud snapped," Oh really, I'm a lizard now? Then what are you, a snake who only backbites and spreads rumours about everyone?"
Before Saras had the opportunity to reply, Sunny dragged both of them to the area where they had to present their 3 keys. Team Aggressive Sharks were first and team Rapid Waters were eliminated.
The second round was concerned with a game which was titled Find Peggy and Lenny'. Basically Peggy and Lenny were 2 stuffed animals in the form of a penguin and a polar bear. At the end of the second round, it was only Team Aggressive sharks and Calm Coconuts qualified for the grand finale. Saras, Kumud and Sunny had got the stuffed polar bear and Team Calm Coconuts had found out the stuffed Penguin. Kumud and Saras had gotten into other arguments during this round and poor Sunny had to get them candy floss to convince them not to leave the game right in the middle.
Finally, the much awaited round was here, the third and last one. The 2 competing teams were left on an island and they had an hour to hunt for a wooden casket which contained the ticket for a free trip aboard the ship the upcoming year and some surprises. The only little problem was that it was getting hotter and they would have to sacrifice a lot of their sweat to reach the treasure.
Kumud had worn a pair of denim shorts and she had pulled on a nude peach crop top on her. Saras was clad in a simple pair of shorts and a Ralph Lauren shirt and he wore a Ray-Ban shades. The ship boarded the island and the two teams were given the start-off signal which was just a soprano from the last night concert's singer, Gabriella. However the real start was taken after a glass broke owing to Gabriella's out-of-tune, high-pitched soprano.
Team Calm Coconuts had 3 members equally and they all seemed quite rude. As soon as the signal to start was given, the 2 teams were given a piece of yellowish stained paper on which they were clues which would lead to the treasure.
Kumud, Saras and Sunny dived into the deep vegetation of the island where they found a small totem pole on which a symbol was inscribed. Team Calm Coconuts had a high chance of winning though, they were really close to the treasure whereas Team Aggressive Sharks were still stuck with the very first clue.
Suddenly, it started pouring. Team Calm Coconuts quickly ran away to the ship as the members on the team did not want to get drenched in the rain, but that was not all, the ship was about to leave. So, Saras, Kumud and Sunny ran as fast as they could to board the ship. Sunny managed to get on the cruise but when he looked at the back, Kumud and Saras were not here. What had actually happened was that Kumud and Saras had bumped into each other while running and they fell into a sort of water pit. They both managed to get out of there but when they reached the shore, they could only see the ship distancing itself.
"Shit!" Saras muttered under his breath and he stomped his foot on the sand. Kumud covered her face with her hands, no this could not be happening...
End of Flashback,
They were back to present now. Both their clothes were drenched. Kumud stopped walking around and she looked at Saras," What next now?"
Saras who was already irritated, marched up to her and snaked his hand around her waist and pulled her body to him. Kumud was shocked with his behaviour," Are you insane?"
"Yes! You are getting on my nerves, I was having a really nice time until you barged in my life!" he said with anger," You know what, ever since I saw you, it's like I'm jinxed!" he snarled and pushed Kumud away from him. Kumud was deeply hurt with his harsh words and she ran away from where they currently were while sobbing. Saras felt bad when he saw her leave, he was mad at himself for blurting out all those rude things to her. He went after her and he saw her sitting on the other side of the island on the sand under a tree. He moved towards her with a puppy face," I am sorry, I should not have been that rude, why don't we bury the hatchet?" he ended with a smile.
Kumud looked at him as if she was about to murder him," I don't want to talk to you, you said that I jinxed your life, then go away, after all, that's what I am good at, people used to say that I'm jinxed after my parents died in a car accident right after I was born.." she trailed as some tears started flowing out of her eyes. Saras felt miserable, he hurt her really bad," I am really sorry, I did not know about all of that, I swear," Kumud ignored him but she had to look up when she heard him scream," Ouch!!"
The next thing that happened was crazy. Saras was being ambushed with bananas by the monkeys which were on the trees all around them. Kumud forgot all about what happened earlier when she saw the ways in which Saras was avoiding getting hit and the curses which he launched at the monkeys who were making sarcastic faces at him. At last, they managed to get rid of the monkeys by moving to a more peaceful spot. Saras and Kumud stared at each other and broke into laughter. Saras asked her," Am I forgiven?"
Kumud pretended to ponder about it and then said," Hmm...since we both don't know how long we are going to stay on this island, then I forgive you." Saras beamed," Then, why don't we break the ice?"
Kumud said," Are you proposing friendship?"
"Yes, why not?"
Kumud said," Okay."
Kumud and Saras spent the whole night getting to know about each other and as dinner, they consumed the exotic fruits that the island was endowed with by Mother Nature.
2 Days passed and both of them were now really good friends, which was a big shock, looking at the history between them. On the third day, both of them were exploring the island and Kumud saw a grey rucksack.
"Saras, have a look at this,"
Saras opened the bag and discovered 2 cans of beer and some edible and he was about to open the can," What a great discovery," Kumud looked at him with a surprised look," Before opening it, look at the expiry date and how has the bag got over here?"
Saras picked up the bag while examining the cans," Maybe someone from the other team left this over here," he guessed.
That night, Kumud and Saras had made a fire by the lagoon. They both were drenched as they had been taken aback by a huge wave. Kumud had to take off her shirt and she was left in only her red bikini and her shorts. Saras had also removed his shirt, they could not afford to get sick especially in such a place. Saras found himself robbed off speech when he saw Kumud like that, it was normal for anyone to ogle .He had the 2 cans of beer in his hands and he offered one to Kumud who was busy tucking her messy hair behind her ear. Saras unknowingly smiled as he helped her in her unsuccessful endeavor.
Kumud looked at him and she mouthed an inaudible ;Thank you' at him. He handed her the can of beer and they both sat opposite each other around the bonfire. Kumud said," You work out a lot I see,". Saras raised his eyebrow," Oohh, you are checking out my abs,". Kumud blushed but she managed to say," I just happened to glance at them. Saras naughtily said," Glance or glare?" Kumud opened her mouth in shock as Saras said," I would not mind you glaring at me as I am glaring at you too, and you have an amazing figure as well." Kumud felt her cheeks redden and she as if there was a wave of heat around her. Her heart was pounding faster than it used to as she noticed Saras's wink.
Saras dropped his empty can of beer and walked up to her. They both were intoxicated. Kumud stood up and they both stared at each other, the moment itself was intense, it was so tempting, the atmosphere and the most important thing, the attraction was undeniable. Saras gently put his arms around Kumud's back and he ever so slowly placed his lips on hers. Kumud was shocked but since they both were drunk, their minds refused to work and they listened to their desires only. Kumud slowly responded to the kiss and she placed her hands on his bare chest.
Saras cupped her cheek with his other hand and they deepened the kiss as their bodies got dangerously close to each other. After a while, they both parted from the kiss and they looked at each other. No words were spoken and they both carried on with whatever was happening. Saras traced her lips with his fingers and reached her slender neck which was slightly tilted and reached her exposed upper chest. Kumud felt that her knees were giving up. Saras slowly led her to a cave where they had been staying for the previous days. It was not that deep but it was a good shelter.
There was already a bed of leaves over there and he softly dropped Kumud on that. Saras came on top of her and he started leaving kisses all over her throat and she let out a soft moan as his tongue came in contact with her upper chest. Kumud heard a snap sound and she realized that it was Saras who had made her upper body completely nude. Saras went crazy when he came in contact with her curves and he explored every inch of them with his mouth, making her shiver out of pleasure. Kumud's hands were ruffling Saras's hair probing him to continue with whatever he was doing and soon enough, they both were devoid of any clothing. After having explored each other's bodies thoroughly, Saras was about to ask her for her permission to seal their bond but she kissed him, eliminating the need of any words. There were no barriers between them as he completed her. A few tears escaped her eyes but he soothed her and they made love the entire night.
Kumud woke up with the sound of birds on the island. She was confused as to where she was but the only thing she was conversant with was that her body was feeling really sore. She placed her hand on her head to try to recollect what happened but it only resulted in a temporary headache. She then realized that she was half naked from the upper part! She saw her bikini tossed in a corner and she quickly wore it and slipped her shirt on top. She saw Saras strolling on the sand and she went to confront him,"Saras, what we have done?!" she said as flashes from the previous night seeped into her mind. Saras seemed pretty anxious too, but he tried to calm her," Calm down, we were not even in our senses,"
After sorting out everything, Kumud and Saras managed to calm down and they convinced themselves that whatever happened was done without knowledge. Kumud hugged Saras and he rubbed his hands over her shoulders," Saras, I am really scared,..."
Saras said," I am with you, there's no need to be afraid and maybe it was destined to happen"
Kumud looked at him and he said," I know that it is not only me, we both feel something for each other, isn't it?"
Kumud shyly nodded and Saras continued," I need to confess something, I have started to love you."
Kumud said," You can stop joking now,"
Saras took Kumud's hands in his and said," It's true, I know that we have had a bad start but these few days living with you made me see the beauty of life and after whatever happened, it cannot be just lust, I have actually fallen in love with you."
Kumud was happy with his confession and she hugged him tight," I had some feelings for you since the start but you were always fighting with me back then but I cannot hold myself any longer, I love you too."
Saras hugged her possessively and placed a kiss on her forehead. Five minutes after, they heard the roar of an engine and they saw the cruise. Sunny came to fetch them and he was stunned to see them together without fighting," What happened guys, you both are here together without cursing each other." He said amusingly. Saras placed his arms around Kumud's shoulders and said," It's a pretty long story, I'll tell it to you after."
They both got onto the ship where the manager excused himself for leaving them on the island. Sunny was shocked after knowing what happened but he was happy for them.
Nobody cared for the treasure after that because whatever Kumud and Saras found on the island was greater than any other treasure, they found true love. And the manager had offered them a ticket to come on the cruise the following year as apology, they were overjoyed and that night in the cruise, they went to have dinner in the restaurant where they first met each other.
